God fucking damn NIN got fucking robbed in this one, this should have at the very least been much much closer than what it was, how the fuck does the band that brought industrial into the main stream and is possibly one of the most talented bands of the 90's get squashed so bad by band (albeit a talented band) that pretty much spent their entire careers shoving a political message after political message down the listeners throats?, NIN was clearly the better choice in this one and thank god that at least Xfear and Shockey also realized that, c'mon people just cause a band is endlessly played on the radio doesn't necessarily make them better, like I said before this at the very least should have been somewhat close instead of a ridiculous 16-3 blow out

Because they "RALLY ROUND THA FAMILY! WITH A POCKET FULL OF SHELLS!"

No lol, I'm not sure man, I thought this was going to be a lot closer too.

Im shocked NIN lost this, let alone lose it in such a fashion!

NIN were one of the earliest bands I can remember to bring industrial metal to the masses, so to speak.

Dont get me wrong, Rage have had some brilliant song. But NIN should have won, hands down.

I don't know if NIN should have WON the thing, but MAN that final score shocks the living hell outta me!

When I saw this match-up originally, the first thing I said to myself was "potential tie with next round Triple Threat." Then, I sat to decide my own vote - NIN's influence on industrial rock and Reznor's mark on music as a whole, vs Rage's political rock thumbprint and hard rap-rock sound that was instantly recognizable. For me, it was a tough call.

But in the end, I went with Rage. I suspect a lot of posters went down the exact same road I did. Close, but in the end went with Rage. There just were not enough people saying "close, but in the end went with NIN."
