90’s Region - 2nd Round - Spin City vs South Park

Travesty for Spin City. I would have very much liked to have seen it go a little bit further in this competition but I am pretty sure that this will be the last we see of the show in this competition. Words cannot describe how much I love Michael J Fox and his performances in Spin City were pretty incredible, to be honest. Spin City is a show that really does motivate me in terms of viewing. I always think that the great shows will always have me yearning to come back and watch more of it and Spin City was one of those.

However, South Park is currently one of my favourite shows on TV and is probably the only currently airing TV show to get better and better with every season that passes. This season was incredible and the characters bring endless joy to me every time I watch the show. Michael J Fox has nothing on Cartman and it's not even close. Personally, I'm not sure why some of the animated shows are in this competition but as long as they are, they will probably have my vote.

I vote South Park.

Poor Spin City, facing a show that you kids love now adays. I watch Wouth Park every few days, but I don't love it by a long shot. Spin City is a show I watch over South Park even if its a rerun I have seen 10 times versus a brand new episode of South Park. So South Park can move on, but I would prefer it to go the other way around.

Terrible matchup for Spin City but I will be voting for it regardless. Spin City was always a consistently funny show and had great elements of drama just like its predecessor Scrubs. Bill Lawrence is truly a genious in regards to television comedies. South Park is a funny show but it never will or has held a candle to Spin City in my mind.

Do the right thing and vote Spin City.

Yea, I venture to say South Park is slightly overrated due to many putting it on such a high pedestal. Michael J. Fox is gold and anything he touches turns to it. It included Spin City. The only reason I can give for a vote over Spin was Charlie Sheen and Heather Locklear turning the show to pure shit in it's last couple of seasons.

I voted Spin City.

Spin City is a nice little show, but nothing that can compare to the epicness of South Park. One of my top 2 or 3 shows on TV today. It hasn't lost much quality at all over time. If anything, it's improved. The combination of complete randomness and vulgarity with an actual message to each episode is just great. South Park should go very far in this thing.

South Park is winning? Really?!

That show seriously fell off after the first 3 seasons or so, while Spin City only really started to decline after Michael J. Fox left. I can't stand to sit through a new episode of South Park anymore, while i'll stop what I'm doing to watch Spin City.

I feel the same way and South Park gets my vote because the randomness is just as epic as you said. Sure some jokes offend me, but they go off and make fun of litterally everything.... so for ever joke that offends someone, they will find another that is just hilarious. It's going to take a really awesome show to defeat South Park in this tournament because there are so few shows out there that are as random or awesome as it is.

Yeah I voted South Park here. Spin City was good and against a lot of other shows I would have voted for it, but South Park dominates it in my book. I actually was not a fan of South Park in its beginning seasons, but the newer seasons really got me hooked and the outlandish storylines and parodies Parker and Stone come up with are awesome. I wish Spin City could have gone further, but I can't vote against one of my current favorite shows.

Awww man, poor Spin City. One of my favorite sitcoms of the 90s and one that I used to watch every single afternoon when I got home from my afternoon classes. Great, great show where Bill Lawrence was at the top of his game and paved the way for his future work on Scrubs.

Unfortunately it's facing South Park, which is going to win here no doubt about it. What can really be said about SP that hasn't? It's greatness incarnate, it deserves to win. My vote went to Spin City though, because atleast I can make this respectable for that great, great show.
