Even though the Pixies are highly regarded on the Indy Rock scene as pioneers, they just can't compare one of the founding father's of metal. Iron Maiden pioneered the NWOBH, which is the most important movement in the history of metal.

I agree with RVDgurl. The Pixies were a pretty good and influencal band.

However, they just arnt on the same level as Iron Miaden, probably the founding fathers of metal. They still tour and release records nowadays and still sell out the areans.

Just look at the logo for Iron Maiden. Eddie is probably one the icons from any music genre, everyone has seen Eddie in one for or another.
