5 HOF Spots (Female)

WWE.IS.AWESOME

Future Women's Champion
This is basically the same thing as the male version, only for girls obviously.

Everyone knows about the Hall of Fame. It's a place where only the most elite superstars and/or authority figures get in. Over the years, we have seen wrestling greats such as Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, and Wendi Richter get inducted. In the years to come, we will probably see Trish Stratus, Lita, and Stephanie McMahon join them. My question to you is...

If there were only 5 Hall of Fame spots, which female wrestlers and/or authority figures would you induct? They can be past or present.

Fabulous Moolah big name in woman's wrestling and is credited with having a 30 year run as woman's champion.

Sherri Martel great heel manager/valet, could be on the mic and just be scary Sherri

Miss Elizabet most beautiful women in wrestling. Didn't have to wear thongs and be in bikini matches but just looked tremendous and managing Macho Man was great too.

Sunny cited as first "diva", being a hot young woman guys loved to watch. Also a total bitch when a heel.

Trish Stratus carried that division from 01 until she retired

Thats a good question and its also a lot harder then the male question.
If I had to guess

Mae Young Been around way to long to not make the list
Sensational sheri She's the one I remember the most
Molly Holly there was a time when she was the only woman that could actually wrestle probably the best in ring performer female wise
The faboulos moolah again wrestled forever and still had comedic value for a long time.
Because I have no good answer for number five (I could say like trish) I select my favorite looker Christ hemme

Lita: Hasn't been another diva like her hell I don't even think there was a diva like that before her.

Stephanie McMahon: The HOF inducts managers right? If so, Steph should be there eventually. The McMahon/Hemsley (sp?) era--she was phenomenal.

Chyna: Only female IC champ, part of DX, great manager to HHH, Royal Rumble entrant.

Thats all I have for now.

Fab moolah- longest reign of womens champion
trish- she was the womens division and hasnt been same since she left, also good manager when she first started
Chyna- First women to be in RR, and 1 of 2 women to win a major title (molly holly hardcore champ) also a former womens champ, great manager when with dx and HHH, also with eddie.
Lita- first real high flyer of the womens division and multipe time champ
Miss Elizabet- 1st real manager and "diva" back in the day!

it's too bad there are only 5 spots in this hypo, it makes it VERY difficult but interesting nonetheless.... pretty much those are my five as well. Tough cuts are Sable, Chyna, and Lita... Those 8 women are the ones who took females in wrestling to ridiculous levels and were the most successful. I would even add Missy Hyatt and Madusa to that list since they were doing it in WCW at the time as well... So I'd have to agree with you on the 5 who make it but the other 5 are tough cuts.

Chyna - She was IC Champion and beat up guys. Not shitty jobbers, but she was actually hanging with guys like Jericho and Hardcore Holly. Plus, her role in DX, THE ORIGINAL DX, shouldn't be overlooked either.

The Fabulous Moolah - Probably is the best Diva ever. She was relevant in wrestling for like 50 years. She was the classic Heel, when there wasn't any examples to truly go by. Now, she is the example. She held the title for a crazy amount of years. She was awesome.

Trish Stratus - She defined the beauty that could wrestle. She was okay on the mic and her in ring skills improved over the years. So much so, she came in as a valet and ended up being one of the best Divas ever. I give her credit because she worked hard. A lot of Divas or men for that matter, DO NOT put forth the effort that Trish has. So, I think she belongs.

Lita - She was also HOT. She was pretty damn innovative. The high flying moves and being apart of Team Xtreme, truly defined her. She will never be given the credit she deserves because her storyline with Edge and Matt Hardy basically overshadows everything else she did.

Sunny - She was pretty athletic. But damn she was HOT! She is my all time favorite and not because of in ring ability. She was good on the mic, but I wouldn't have cared if she was horrible LOL... She was a great valet and wasn't overshadowed by a Diva if she was in a match. Sunny will always be one of the hottest women I have ever seen, let alone one of the hottest Divas ever!

Sherri Martel will get it. She was a heavy hitter in AWA. She wore the WWF Women's title. Help manage Shawn Michaels, the Rockers (AWA) and Harlem Heat. She have been around. I'm just said, if she was awarded that she won't be there to receive it.

1. FABULOUS MOOLAH

The longest reigning champion in wrestling history, her career spanned around 80 years which is an ubelievable achievement. She even managed to re-gain the Women's title in the late 1990s by defeating Ivory. To remain a figure on WWE TV and even take bumps and guitar shots into her late 70s means Moolah is a worthy 1st pick here.

2. CHYNA

She may be a laughing stock now, but in her day Chyna was a phenomenon, the first woman to actually be able to compete with the men, enter a Royal Rumble and even win the Interncontinental title. She was an incredible physique, was stronger than most of the men on the roster and was a HUGE fan favourite, and idol to many girls. Chyna was part of the original incarnation of DX, which was crucial in bringing on the Attitude era. I would lovefor her to have carried on longer. A sure-fire HOF entry, if it wasnt for her history with Triple H.

3. TRISH STRATUS

The top women's wrestler of the least decade no doubt. Trish went from just being an incredibly hot piece of ass to the most accomplished female wrestler in the WWE. She actually made us care about the women's division again in her matches with Lita, which is some going. We all hope she makes a return one day, but she will always be remembered as one of the best.

4. SABLE

The BIGGEST womens star of the Attitude era, Sable was every man's dream woman, incredibly gorgeous and with strong mic skills and able to carry a good match. She was the first diva to pose in Playboy and her hand-print bikini is one of the defining images of the era. A revolutionary character, Sable was a superstar, probably the 2nd diva after Sunny to become as popular as the men.

5. SHERRI MARTEL

Probably the greatest female manager of all time, Sherri led so many superstars to the top, and did so much for the early days of Shawn Michaels' career as a singles wrestler. She was gorgeous, tough and her voice is still heard today on HBK's iconic entrance music. Sherri is a worthy addition to this list and very sorely missed by all in wrestling. Her one night return on Smackdown with Kurt Angle singing his "Sexy Kurt" music is one of my favourite WWE memories

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Mae Young
Lita
Stephanie McMahon
Sunny
Victoria/Tara (Well you knew I would obviously consider her! :p)

Trish Stratus - The best female sports entertainer ever.
The Fabulous Moolah - Longest reigning women's champion in history.
Lita - Groundbreaking high flyer and the most over women's wrestler in WWE history.
Miss Elizabeth - The first Lady of Wrestling.
Sensational Sherri - Great wrestler and the best valet of all time.

Luna Vachon- a truly different women's wrestler, from a legacy family. She certainly was an innovator and paved the way for women in the early years.

Trish Stratus- She was a pioneer for the women of wrestling today. You ask the divas in the WWE today who they admired, and they will resounding give you her name. Her abilities to combine sex appeal and athletic ability was not witnessed until she came along.

Lita-she is the jelly to Trish's peanut butter. These two were the ultimate in a symbiotic relationship. Whether they were fighting against each other, or fighting against a common enemy, these two had chemistry in the ring, and the crowd loved it. Lita was the ultimate in sporty, and sexy. Guys wanted to date her, and girls wanted to hang out with her. Her daredevil moves were ones that crowds took careful notice of.

Fabuolous Moolah- This was the one with the gumption. She was the pioneer to which ALL the divas looked up to. Her long lasting reign as a Women's Champion is something to be noted and honored.

Miss Elizabeth- She was truly a goddess of a diva. Amazing talent, great storylines. Troubled offstage, but so divine, and the audience LOVED her.

FYI- For those saying "Sherri Martel" She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Ted DiBiase in April 2006.

Have never been a fan of women in competitive wrestling, but as I posted elsewhere there have been more than a handful of talented female performers over the years. the ones who have always stood out for me are:

1) Sensational Sherri - She was a prominent female figure when I first started watching wrestling. She always seemed to align herself with the right person, someone who was a perfect foil for her own character. Whether she was accompanying The Million Dollar Man, The Macho King or The Heartbreak Kid, she was equally as important to their progression as they were to hers.

2) Luna Vachon - born into wrestling and from a good pedigree of wrestling entertainers. She had her own intimidating and unique appearance and style which left quite an impression on me as a kid. Her raspy voice made her sound as deranged as her appearance and befitted her character.

3) Trish Stratus - She was effective during her early days as a valet with Test & Albert. However, she really came into her own as a performer during the early to mid 2000's. I don't think she was innovative by any means, but she was the dominant female during her tenure with WWE. She was the high profile performer within a strong women's division which boasted such performers as Victoria, Molly Holly and Lita.

4) Lita - You can't include Trish without her long time rival Lita. Lita is The Rock to Trish's Stone Cold Steve Austin. Their feud lasted forever, but was never tiresome. The characters were different and so were their styles in the ring and personalities outside it. This just worked for me, whatever my feelings about women's wrestling. Lita is always one of the two females, Trish being the other, that fans want to see back involved with wrestling.

5) Stephanie McMahon - She is Daddy's Little Girl after all. To be fair, she has been involved in some of the major storylines over the past few years; being abducted by The Undertaker, McMahon-Helmsley era and The Invasion angle. She has been General Manager of both Raw and Smackdown and even Women's Champion. She plays the Billion Dollar Princess down to a tee and her interactions with Y2J were always comical. She can do comedy, serious and bitch at a drop of a hat and has to be considered one of the females who are a cert for this hypothetical HOF.
