2011-12 NBA Playoffs LD

The Knicks live for another day and the Bulls are fucked. I expected much more from Chicago. They have more then enough talent to beat Philly without Derrick Rose but they mailed it in.

completely agree. i def thought the rose-less bulls would be able to win the series up 1-0, but they're going down fast.

The game could have gone either way, had the Bulls had Joakim Noah out there. They were seriously lacking his energy.

WTF was that lady doing?

Apparently she's a 20 year old nutcase who used to stalk Kenyon Martin while he was playing for the nuggets. She was reportedly asking the nuggets bench "Where's Kenyon?!" throughout the game until she freaked out on tv.

What a terrible end to a season for the Bulls. I mean, one assumes that Philadelphia drives the stake somewhere in these three games; if not Game 5, certainly Game 6 at home. You really feel bad for them.

Can't imagine anyone other than the Heat walking out of the East now.

Yeah, I can't see anyone stopping Miami. I'd be pumped for either a Heat/Lakers or Heat/Thunder finals.

It's the Heat out of the East for sure now.

It'll be the Thunder, Spurs, or Lakers from the West.

I keep hearing Indy might creep into the Finals. Right now the fave in the west is OKC. Lakers need to lock Denver down and get this series overwith. Likewise for the Clips.

Do the Spurs get the sweep tonight or will the Jazz get a win and send this series back to San Antonio for game 5?

I say they get the sweep. Spurs are up 7-2 right now.

Looks like the Bulls are on pace to make the series 3-2 and force Game 6.

Joakim Noah might be back for Game 6, so the longer the Bulls can extend this series the better for them. The 76ers need to put the final nail in the coffin, but they aren't.

I come home bulls are down by 12 now they are completely outplaying Philly. That's what I love about this team, the never say die attitude.

Looks like we're down to the final 8 teams. And with the Celtics playing the 76ers and the Heat playing the Pacers... it looks all but certain that the Heat and Celtics will face-off for the East Title... also probably meaning that the Heat will be going to the Finals, a foregone conclusion by most already.

The West is where it gets much more interesting and uncertain. I think any of the remaining four teams besides the Clippers have a chance to make it to the Finals. The Thunder may be the favorite, but I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the Lakers or Spurs came out on top. But if I had to make a prediction from the West, it'd be 1)Thunder, 2)Spurs, 3)Lakers.

But my guess is it'll end up being Heat/Thunder in the Finals, and from there it could go either way. Myself and many others might be inclined to pick the Heat for obvious reasons, but I hesitate to jump to that simply because of how the 2011 NBA Finals panned out. The Heat were heavily favored, and the Mavs upset them. Could certainly happen here again.

The Heat certainly have better starters than the Thunder, but the Thunder's bench is far, far superior. And Durant and Westbrook are no slouches as starters. Everyone keeps talking about how hungry the Heat are, and I'm sure they are. But the Thunder have been together longer, are younger, and have been hungering for a title and coming up short similarly for quite a few years now in their own right. If these two teams face-off, it'll certainly be an interesting and entertaining Finals. That is, if my prediction even holds up.

Celtics could make the ECF very interesting. Garnett looks as good as he ever did right now, and they did really well against Miami in the regular season.

Wow... the Lakers are getting absolutely stomped, lol.

I'm thinking this is how the whole series goes and OKC sweeps LA.

Not looking good for the Lakers in this series. I'm not gonna write them off until I see how G2 goes, but it's not looking good.

The Lakers are done and Boston is starting to look old. It's looking more and more like we could be getting the Finals match up that everyone wants, OKC/Miami. Of course the Spurs and Clippers could both give OKC a run in the West Finals.

The only thing that can slow down Miami right now is if Bosh's injury is more serious than we're privy to right now.

Agreed. They just looked flat out uninspired. I know they didn't get much rest between series, but its their own fault. I love the Lakers, but that first round shouldn't have went all seven games. And its gonna be hell for them when the weekend hits with back to back games Saturday and Sunday.

Yeah, they should've taken the Nuggets more seriously. Although they weren't in serious, serious danger of losing the series, they should've just shoved in the dagger earlier so they would've had equal time to rest for the younger & rested OKC. But instead, they got lazy, and that laziness very may well cost them now in this series. Not saying they would've won if they had more rest, but the deck is now already stacked against them, AND they're playing an arguably superior, engergized, younger team. Not good. And that obviously showed in the blowout loss in G1.
