146th Belmont Stakes LD - California Chrome goes for the Triple Crown

I know very little about horse racing, but California Chrome has a chance to cap off a run at the Triple Crown, which hasn't been done in 36 years. I guess spending an hour or so is worth it with a chance to see a piece of sports history. Anyone else watching?

I was a kid watching him win the Kentucky Derby and Preakness around 2003 or so. He lost in Belmont to War Admiral(?) I believe.

I'm checking this out for the first time since then.

If he wins the triple crown, this story has to be a movie eventually. A working class horse defying odds in a notorious blue blood sport. The script writes itself.

Shouldn't be too long til we possibly see the first Triple Crown Champion since 1978.
