12-12-2011 RAW LD

There's a line between deranged and ******ed, and in my opinion the line has been crossed with Kane several years ago. I think there was no way to go forward with Kane witout getting backwards.

This comment makes the image and sound of Kane coming to Show's aid after getting hit by Del Rio's car that Ricardo Baldwin was driving pop in to my head.

"Show! Show!"

The mask is intimidating. Kane is an intimidating figure.

It was intimidating because we never knew what was behind it. The mystery of the man behind the mask made it what it was. We now know what the man looks like without the mask, thus making the mask completely pointless unless they give us a great reason as to why he's wearing it once again.

This.

She said it had been a minute since she had been out. Sounds like a mistake took place and she was introduced during the commercial break. She probably got a good pop on the first introduction.
She didn't mean that literally, she meant it had been a while since she was last on WWE television.

Her lack of pop was indeed sad. She looked phenomenal, though.

Just watched last night's ending. The first mask on Kane looks stupid as hell but I dig the one on the inside.

Not at all.

Stand across from a man wearing a badass looking mask. You gonna be scared more then you will if he was maskless. It ADDS to the intimidation factor.

And here's the reason he's wearing it: he wants to. Why does Rey Mysterio wear a mask? What about Sin Cara? Because they want to.

No, they wear masks because it's luchadore tradition. Unless I've been missing something all these years, Kane isn't a luchadore.

It could still have some type of intimidation factor, but it doesn't carry the same level of intrigue knowing what the guy looks like underneath.

I'm often intimidated by the thought of just what John Cena's keeping underneath those jorts. What's he hiding? I mean, he wouldn't be wearing them if they weren't hiding something, would he? It'd be pointless. My guess; baby penis.

Why is it a luchador tradition? Because at some point, a Luchador decided to wear a mask and everyone followed suit. And not all Luchadors wear masks. Hence, it's not mandatory for them to wear masks. They CHOOSE to wear masks. Not to mention they are a far cry from the world of everyone wearing masks so they are too.

And should we not forget that Rey Mysterio wrestled maskless for a couple years in WCW? He put it back on and there's no bitching, yet Kane can't put his back on?

Not really. We know what Rey Mysterio looks like underneath the mask and it doesn't make the mask any less important.

Besides, the mask itself looking creepy is also why it adds to his intimidation factor. You look at a creepy mask and a big-ass guy staring you down in it, and you're intimidated. That's what happens. Hence, the mask.
