Cody Rhodes is an excellant
100 Bullets was a DC comic published under it's Vertigo imprint

Plot

The initial plot of 100 Bullets hinges on the question of whether people would take the chance to get away with revenge. The mysterious Agent Graves approaches someone who has been the victim of a terrible wrong. Graves gives them the chance to set things right by providing them a handgun, the eponymous 100 bullets, and documentation of the person primarily and personally responsible for the recipient's woes. He informs the candidate that the bullets are completely untraceable, and any law enforcement investigation which uncovers one of these bullets will immediately stop.

Though all of the murders enabled by Agent Graves are presented as justifiable, the candidates are neither rewarded nor punished for taking up the offer, and appear to receive nothing other than personal satisfaction for their actions. Several people have declined the offer, while others accept. Those that accept see their actions unfold with varying levels of success or failure. The attaché and Graves' "game" is later revealed to be only a minor part of a much broader story.

First with the recent wave of comicbook and graphic novels being turned into movies I'm kinda surprised nobody has tried to turn this into a movie or even a tv show, as the basic concept could work well for either and sounds interesting

Now I haven't read 100 Bullets yet, but it is available 13 trade paperbacks, and I'm curious as to whether or not anyone here has read it yet and what they think, basically I want to know if it would be worth my time to read it

I read about 7 of the trades and kind of stopped. It was ok, but it gets confusing. Get through the first three trades if you read it because it takes that long to get to the meat of the plot.

Also, first trade has a quote from none other than Raven on the back.

I havent read this but it does sound pretty interesting. Maybe Ill pick it up. My favorite comic from the Vertigo imprint is V For Vendetta, so Im sure Ill find this appealing.

You should try Y the Last Man and Watchmen.

Ive read The Watchmen, it was excellent. Alan Moore is one of my favorite comic book writers, he was my favorite but I think Grant Morrison has surpassed him recently.

There are some great books in DC's Elseworld line also. They're non-cannon stories where they can really stretch out and explore the characters better than in regular series.

Watchmen is what got me interested in reading comics again, though I generally just stick with trades and graphic novels now, since all I really care about is the read and not the collecting aspect of it these days

Y: The Last Man sounds pretty interesting too

It really is. It takes a bit of getting used to but the ending is really good.

Yea Ill have to check it out. Im mostly into reading Superhero comics like JLA, Batman, and comic events but I like a good graphic novel thats self contained or not related to superheroes.

Kingdom Come is really good. It's DC and explores what happens if superheroes stop being superheroes.

Yea. I havent read it but I know what its about. Ive really started to like Captain Marvel a lot recently and Ive seen scans from it so Ill probably DL it or something, seeing as I cant find it in stores. Or is this a GN of the same name?

Very regularly. Rather big fan.

Awesome. Ive become more of a fan of DC recently because I like the stories more, but Ive been pretty up to date with both.

How have you liked the Blackest Night Brightest Day series? And for that matter.... Siege? lol

I was gonna make another thread on this but since I really don't feel like it and we're talking about DC in here anyway, does anyone else watch the straight to DC Animated movies?

I loved JLA: Final Frontier, Batman: Under the Red Hood, & Green Lantern: First Flight

I've thought about checking some of them out. They look very well put together and I've heard good things about them.

Theyre the recent events in the two companies. Blackest Night takes place after Final Crisis, a Black Lantern Corps headed by Black Hand comes into existence and everyone in it was a resurrected superhero. Theyre pretty much zombies. They almost take over the universe until they are defeated. Brightest Day is the aftermath.

And Siege was the recent Marvel event where Norman Osbourne lead a Siege of Asgaard and Sentry turned into the Void, destroyed Asgaard, and fought everyone.

I havent seen the other two yet for some reason but Under The Red Hood was excellent, even with Dimaggio taking over as the voice of Joker. Ive never read that arc but I really want to now.

IM pretty much up to date with the movies except those two and The Clash of Two Worlds or whatever the one with the other verse JLA is called. Theyre all awesome.

Yeah I read part of Siege and then gave up on it. I've dropped a few series from my folder lately since I'll read them and just forget about them a few minutes later. I've been loving the Second Coming series but I'm way behind on it.

Whats the Second Coming series?

Oh the X-Men one? I havent read that, its kind of hard to read everything thats going on at once. I usually wait until its done or just do some ones weekly/
