Carlito/Chris Masters defeated Big Show/Kane to win the World Tag Team Championship after Carlito hit a backcracker on Big Show and Masters hit Kane with a Chair and applied the Masterlock for the win!
Mickie James defeated Trish Stratus to win the WWE Women's Championship after Trish missed a Chick Kick and Mickie hit a Stratusfaction to win!
Ric Flair defeated RVD, Shelton Benjamin, Booker T, Rey Mysterio, and Lashley to win MITB II after originally leaving with injury, returned to knock Mysterio and RVD off the ladder and was the last man standing and claimed the briefcase!
MNM defeated the reformed Hardy Boyz after Melina low blowed Jeff Hardy on the top rope and MNM hit a Snapshot off the top to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship!
Chris Benoit defeated JBL to retain the United States Championship after one of the most technical matches in recent months when Benoit countered the Clothesline from Hell into the Crossface for the win!
HBK defeated Mr. McMahon in a Street Fight where Michaels basically dessimated the Chairman with several Sweet Chin Musics and an Elbow drop off a 20 foot ladder through a table, despite interference from Shane McMahon.
Undertaker defeated Brock Lesnar in a NO DQ match for a spot in the Main Event at Judgement Day after Goldberg made his return, spearing Lesnar attempting to F-5 Taker. Goldberg then Jackhammered Lesnar and pulled Taker over him for the win!
Edge defeated Mick Foley in Hardcore Rules Match when Y2J returned on Edge's behalf and struck Foley with a Singapore Cane and Edge speared Foley through a Flaming Table in a brutal match!.
Randy Orton defeated Kurt Angle and Batista to win the World Heavyweight Championship after Batista threw Angle out of the ring and went to Batista Bomb Orton but Orton countered into an impressive RKO to claim his 2nd Championship.
John Cena defeated Triple H to retain the WWE Championship which saw Cena make his official heel turn after blasting the fans before the match for booing him and not giving him his respect. Cena had been busted open by the sledgehammer and Triple H went for the Pedigree when Cena countered into the STFU to retain.

HERE COMES THE MONEY$$$$
Shane McMahon comes out, filling in for his father at the moment. He announces that this night is not over and nobody go anywhere. He agrees with Cena's statement towards the fans and Shane says he Cena deserves respect. However, he regrets to inform Cena that will be defending his WWE Championship once more. He says that this man is cashing in his MITB Championship opportunity that he won some hours ago. He presents Ric Flair!
WOOOOOOO!!!!
Flair comes out, with a determined look in his eyes. In just under 3 minutes, Ric Flair applies the Figure Four Leg Lock to an exhausted and bloodied John Cena and wins his 17th World Championship!!!. FLAIR IS THE NEW WWE CHAMPION!
Flair then makes a shocking announcement. Flair feels that he has done it all and has nothing left in him and will be vacating the WWE Championship and retiring from active wrestling tomorrow night on RAW!

JR- Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to WWE RAW! We come to you live from Chicago!!! The site of Wrestlemania 22, where less than 24 hours ago, Ric Flair claimed his 17th World Championship! I'm Jim Ross alongside Jerry "the King" Lawler!
King- That's right JR, and then Flair announced that he was retiring and vacating the title! The locker room is in frenzy, what will go down here tonight???
Here comes the Money!!!$$$$$
Shane McMahon makes his way to the ring. You can see he is still feeling the effects of that vicious chairshot he took from HBK during the Street Fight.
Shane- For those of you who don't know, Ric Flair cashed in his WWE Championship opportunity and won the WWE Title at the end of Wrestlemania. He then, to my surprise, and most likely the rest of the world's, announced that he was vacating the title and retiring. So Ric, come on out here, you want to give up your title. Go right ahead.
WOOOOOOOO!
Flair- WOOO! Last night at Wrestlemania 22, I did it all! WOOOO! I became Mr. Money in the Bank! WOOO! I shocked the world, when I, the Nature Boy, WOO! Won the WWE Championship and became a 17 Time Champion!! But......My gas tank has run out, I'm a 57 year old man. My body cannot take much more punishment. I feel that I am not in good enough shape to honor the WWE Championship. That is why, Shane, all of you in Flair Country, I am vacating the WWE Championship.
Flair proceeds to hand the belt to Shane McMahon, crowd gives standing ovation and loud WOOO! chants

HHH- Shane! I want a shot at that title again! Last night was a fluke, under estimating this poser Cena. The people want me as WWE Champion, so give them what they want. I have carried this company on my back for years, I deserve an opportunity to claim my 11th Championship and go back on my throne!
Cena- HHH, shut the HELL up! (crowd boos) You have no place here, you lost, you tapped out to me. You don't deserve another chance. You and the rest of Chicago can Kiss my ASS! Shane do what's right and give me my title.

Shane- SHUT UP!!!! ALL OF YOU! I have been thinking of a solution of this since Flair announced his retirement last night. Over the next four weeks, we will have a series of matches, a tournament if you will. Numerous RAW Superstars, 16 to be exact, will be in a series of matchups to determine the next WWE Champion!The tournament will conclude at Backlash PPV, where the semi-finals and finals will take place to crown a new champion. All of you are in the tournament, but are not competing tonight. Cena, HHH, Edge, you all have the night off so would you please EXIT or face expulsion from this tournament!
Crowd cheers the announcement of Tournament, but boo's the fact that HHH, Cena, and Edge won't fight. The three stare down as they leave the ring. Flair follows them to a loud ovation and waves goodbye!
JR- Oh my God, King! WWE Championship Tournament! This is huge!
King- JR, I am pumped up! But, with HHH, Edge, and Cena all off tonight, who will be the 8 Superstars competing???
Shane-Ladies and Gentlemen, there will be four matches tonight, All tournament matches with the winners advancing to the Quarterfinals which will be 2 RAWs from now. The first match will be Y2J and this man!

First Round WWE Championship Tournament Match
Christian vs Y2J
Christian and Y2J have a stare down in the middle of the ring before they lock up. In a test of strength, both men are basically equal. Y2J gives Christian a knee to the gut and puts him in a headlock. Christian counters and throws Jericho into the ropes and clothesline him. Christian and Y2J put on a technical show. Christian gets a near fall after a superplex of the top rope. Christian goes for the Unprettier but Y2J counters into the Walls of Jericho. Mick Foley appears at the top of the ramp with a flaming barbed wire bat! Y2J breaks the hold and starts yelling at Foley when Christian rolls up Y2J for the win!

[JR- Christian is the first to advance in the tournament! But King, how do you think Y2J will react to Mick Foley's distraction?
King- Y2J shouldn't have gotten involved in that Hardcore match if he didn't think Foley would remember it

Trish attacks Victoria as they begin rolling around in Shane's office. Shane just sits back and opens a bag of popcorn.

JR-Shane has just announced the other three matches for tonight. It will be Chris Masters vs Kane, Carlito vs Big Show, and in the Main Event it will be HBK vs Umaga!

Chris Masters is on his way to the ring as we return from break. Masters raises his newly won World Tag Team Title in the air when Pyro explodes and Kane makes his way to the ring.
1st Round WWE Championship Tournament Match
Chris Masters vs Kane
Kane holds nothing back as one can clearly see that he is very angry over losing the tag titles the night before. Kane goes after Masters with strong right hands to the jaw. Kane whips Masters into the ropes and nails him with a huge boot to the face. Kane picks up Masters and goes to whip him into the corner but Masters counters it into a nice splash. Masters sets Kane up for a suplex and nails it! Masters calls for the Masterlock and almost has it locked in when Kane flips him over his back. What pure strength! Kane calls for the Chokeslam and nails it for the win!
Winner- Kane by Pinfall
JR- Kane was purely dominant in this match. I know I wouldn't want to be his opponent in the quarterfinals. He is a man on a mission.
King- After watching this performance, Kane is clearly a contender to win the WWE Championship.
JR-In just a few moments, Carlito will be facing Big Show in our third match of the evening. Last night, (clips of WM22 Match shown) Carlito played a key roll as he gave a Backcracker to Show to keep him from saving Kane who was in the Masterlock.
King- Carlito will need more than a Backcracker tonight to overcome the Big Show.

Carlito vs Big Show
Big Show starts off dominating by whipping Carlito around the ring. He sets up Carlito into the corner hits some forceful chops to the mid-section. This match appears to be a de ja vu of the Kane/ Chris Masters match. Carlito then rakes the eyes of Big Show. Carlito nails some shots to the midsection and hits a dropkick to the legs of the Big Show. Carlito continues to work on the right leg of Show, placing several submission moves. Big Show then kicks Carlito right into the referee. Big Show then calls for the Chokeslam and grabs Carlito by the throat. As he lifts him, Masters appears and nails Show with a chairshot. Carlito then nails the Backcracker and revives the ref to steal the victory.
Winner-Carlito by Pinfall
After the match, Carlito and Master continue to beat on Show. Carlito nails Show with several chairshots all over the body. He hits Show right dead on in the head and busts him wide open! Masters then places a bloodied show in the Masterlock, when CHARLIE HAAS comes out for the save. Masters/Carlito exchange words with Haas in the ring as he revives the Big Show.
JR- Carlito and Chris Masters are a pair of pompous jackasses! Carlito stole that win from the Big Show and then beat the living hell out of him.
King- Nevertheless Carlito still advances in the tournament. But what was with Charlie Haas' return??? Why would he come to aid the Big Show?

HBK vs Umaga
Umaga goes right after HBK and nails him with several headbutts. Umaga is living up to his reputation as a powerful wrestler. Umaga whips HBK into the ropes and tosses him over his back as if HBK were a crusierweight. Umaga nails a sideslam for a 2 count. Umaga then whips HBK into the corner and nails him with backside. HBK slumps to floor, resting on the turnbuckle. Umaga is setting up to ram HBK's head with his lower backside. He charges HBK and misses! Umaga then takes a tumble to the ground and HBK leaps up and starts tuning up the band.
NO CHANCE IN HELL
Crowd boos loudly as Mr. McMahon appears at the top of the stage
Mr. McMahon is being escorted to ring by his son Shane. HBK is distracted for a moment by McMahon when Umaga charges at HBK. HBK ducks and nails a Sweet Chin Music. He goes up to the top rope for his patented Elbow drop when Shane nails him with a chair and the ref calls for the bell.
Winner- HBK by DQ
Shane continue to nail chairshots as Mr. McMahon enters the ring. Umaga recovers and nails HBK with his deadly Thumb spike. McMahon spits on an unconcious and grabs a microphone.
Mr. McMahon- Shawn Michaels, you think what you did to me last night is acceptable. You may have moved on in this tournament but, God damnit HBK, I am the Chairman! I told you that once you take on I, VINCENT KENNEDY MCMAHON, that you will indeed have No chance in HELL!
The McMahons, Umaga, and Estrada all raise their arms in celebration as an unconcious HBK lies in the ring

JR-Hello everybody, I'm Jim Ross, alongside Jerry "the King" Lawler. One week ago, Ric Flair vacated his WWE Title and the McMahons announced a 16 man tournament to declare a new champion. Last week, we saw Kane, Carlito, a returning Christian, and HBK advance to the quarterfinals. But HBK suffered a brutal attack at the hands of the McMahons and Umaga. King, tonight we have HHH, Edge, and John Cena all in action . What do you think will go down here tonight?
King- Well JR, I think these men pose a serious threat to win the tournament. They also are not announcing any of their opponents' tonight along with Shelton Benjamin, who on WWE. com stated that he could defeat anyone anytime. Also, Trish Stratus and Victoria meet for the right to face Mickie James at Backlash. Puppies! JR, Puppies!
JR- Keep your pants on King. We are immediatly getting to our first match of the evening! Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs ????
AIN'T NO STOPPIN ME NOW
Benjamin ****ily makes his way to the ring, holding his belt high. He grabs a mic.
Benjamin-Cut my music. When I heard about this tournament, I thought to myself, might as well add another belt to my collection. (snickers as the crowd boos). You people don't even respect a great athlete like myself. I am your champion. (major heat with that comment) Anyway, since I stole the show again at Wrestlemania but go screwed over by that fossil Flair, (crowd wooooos) I want to call out anyone who thinks they can beat me in this tournament. I don't care if its HHH, Cena, cause there ain't no stoppin me now.
IF YA SMELLLL, WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN!
The Rock appears in gear and ready to go. The crowd goes estactic
Rock-Finally, the Rock HAS COME BACK to MILWAUKEE!
Crowd starts a Rocky Chant
Rock- Shelton Benjamin, who do you think you are? Calling out people like you run the WWE or something.
Benjamin- Rock, I am the Inter
Rock- IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU ARE! (crowd gives major pop). The fact of the matter is, that the Rock is back and has his eyes on one thing, the WWE title. Shelton Benjamin, ya momma's boy, the Rock wants to be champ again, and is going to start off by whoopin your candy ass all over Milwaukee! (Crowd roars)
Rock drops his mic and runs to the ring, we have our first match
First Round WWE Championship Tournament Match
Shelton Benjamin vs The Rock
The Rock storms the ring, knocks the sunglasses right off of Benjamin's with some strong right hands. Rock grapples Benjamin and whips him into the corner and continues with the right hands, his last one knocking Benjamin to the mat. He goes to pick up Benjamin, but Benjamin rakes the eyes. Benjamin returns with some uppercuts of his own and hits the Rock with a clothesline. The match continues on with some great athletic moves pulled off by these superstars, such as the Rock powerslamming his way out of a sleeper hold and Benjamin flying over the ropes, hitting a crossbody on the Rock outside the ring. The action returns to the ring, where the Rock accidently hits Benjamin into the referee. Benjamin hits the rock with a suplex and grabs his chain. He wraps it around his fist and nails the rock with it head on. He revives the referee and covers the Rock. The ref counts slowly 1.....................2....................KICK OUT. The Rock kicked out and Benjamin is in disarray. Benjamin calls for the T-Bone and sets the Rock up but the Rock counters with elbows to the head. Benjamin releases his hold and goes to hit the Rock but the Rock ducks and hits the Rock Bottom and covers for the win!
Winner-The Rock, by Pinfall
The Rock climbs the side of the turnbuckle and holds his hand high as he celebrates his win. Shelton Benjamin leaves and in disbelief returns to the backstage area
JR-Oh My God King, the ROCK is back and he's moving on despite Benjamin's tantics. What a return!
King- I guess the Rock put Benjamin in his place, where's momma when you need her.
Backstage, Shelton Benjamin is being interviewed by Maria
Maria- Hey Shelton, how do you feel after being beat by the Rock. OMG do you believe he's back. You think you can get me his autograph?
Benjamin- No, I'm not getting you his autograph. I JUST GOT BEAT BY HIM. And you ask how I feel, how do you think I feel.
RVD- Whoa, Whoa, Shelton buddy relax. No need to be angry at Maria. She's just doing her job.
RVD walks up to Maria and Benjamin, crowd cheers
Maria- RVD, do you think you are ready for your match tonight against John Cena. (crowd boos at the mention of Cena)
RVD- Maria, Mr. Monday Night is going to dominate like he used to during his ECW days. John Cena's been trashing the fans lately and man, that's not cool. Shelton Benjamin, you should pay attention to see how a real wrestler gets the job done because tonight everyone is going to see a show by R-V-D.
RVD walks away, and Benjamin stands there with a look of disgust
Benjamin- Yeah, we'll see about that

RVD makes his way out to a major pop and heads to the ring.

Cena comes out to major heat. He just looks at the crowd and flips them off as he makes his way to ring.
First Round WWE Championship Tournament Match
Rob Van Dam vs John Cena
Cena and RVD lock up with Cena grabbing RVD in an arm lock. Cena continues to work on the arm of RVD when RVD rolled out of it and nailed a spinning kick to Cena. RVD whips Cena against the ropes and hits Cena with an arm drag carry for a 2 count. RVD puts Cena in a Head Scissors lock but Cena reaches the ropes. Cena fights off RVD and hits him with a series of lefts and rights. He whips RVD against the ropes and nails him with an inverted Powerbomb. Cena then calls for the 5 knuckle shuffle (crowd gives major heat) and hits it. Cover 1.......2.......kick out by RVD. Cena can't believe it and complains to the referee. RVD then rolls up Cena for a near fall. Cena then rakes the eyes of RVD and goes for the the F-U. RVD counters and nails Cena with a huge drop kick which pushes Cena into the ref and knocks him down. RVD leans on the ropes and hits Rolling Thunder. He jumps on the top rope and calls for the 5 Star Splash when Shelton Benjamin jumps out from the crowd and nails RVD with the IC title belt. Cena recovers and locks in the STFU to a knocked out RVD for the win.

Benjamin backs up the ramp smiling as a dazed RVD looks on in disbelief
JR- What the hell is Benjamin doing out here! He had no right to interfere in that match. RVD got screwed!
King- Looks like Shelton took those comments made by RVD earlier tonight to heart. And he just got revenge for them.
JR- We are not going to commercial folks, our next match here comes HHH.

First Round WWE Championship Tournament Match
Triple H vs Goldust
HHH and Goldust lock up and Goldust puts HHH into a headlock to start things off. HHH counters out of that and throws Goldust into the ropes and hits him with a clothesline. Triple H then nails Goldust with kneedrop for a two count. Triple H then places Goldust in a sleeper hold. Goldust is beginning to fade and appears that he has passed out. The referee lifts his arm once, twice, and Goldust has life. Goldust attempts to spin out of it and does. HHH comes at him and Goldust ducks and nails a big powerslam. 1......2....kick out by HHH. Goldust picks him up and calls for the Curtain Call, but HHH counters and nails the Pedigree! 1..2..3 HHH picks up the victory.

Backstage, we see Trish Stratus lacing up her boots, and Mickie James approaches
Mickie- Hey Trish, it's me Mickie, the WWE Women's Champion, I just wanted to wish you luck tonight. I'll make sure to call it....."right down the middle."

Mickie- Oops, I forgot to tell you, I'll be the Special Referee for your match against Victoria. (Blows Trish a kiss) Good Luck!

Mickie James' music hits as she sports a very sexy referee shirt, skipping to the ring. Trish Stratus makes her entrance, followed by Victoria.
King- Oh boy JR, look at all the PUPPIES!!!!!

Trish Stratus vs Victoria
Special Referee- Mickie James
Trish Stratus charges Victoria and they roll around the ring for a little bit as Mickie laughs at them. Victoria then grabs Trish's hair and slams her head first to the ground. Victoria picks up Trish and whips her into the ropes and nails her with a clothesline. Victoria covers and Mickie counts 2. Victoria then uses the ropes to choke Trish. Mickie counts to 5 and tells Victoria to break the hold.
JR- Wow it appears that this psychotic woman is calling the match fair.
Victoria backs up to the turnbuckle and goes to clothesline Trish again but Trish uses the Matrish and avoids Victoria. Trish then nails Victoria with a powerbomb but Mickie slowly makes the count and Victoria kicks out at two. Trish starts yelling at Mickie and it appears they are about to fight when Victoria nails Trish in the back. Victoria sets up and nails the Widow's Peak. She screams as she is about to cover Trish- "I told you I was going to destroy you, you little ****E!" Mickie James then screams " TRISH IS MINE TO DESTROY AHHHHHHH" and hits a Stratusfaction on Victoria. She pulls a limp Trish over Victoria and counts to three.

Mick Foley appears at the top of the stage and raises his arm to an huge pop. Edge is in disbelief as Mick runs to the ring and this match is underway.

Mick Foley vs Edge w/ Lita and Y2J
Edge and Mick exchange blows left and right. Edge forces Mick into the corner and nails some right hands and kicks him to the mat. Foley rolls to the side of the ring and Edge nails him with a baseball slide to the outside. Edge goes to the outside and goes to whip Foley into the ringpost but Foley reverses and Edge goes head first into the post. Foley grabs Edge and beats his head into the announce table. Foley then throws Edge into the Steel steps. He rolls Edge back into the ring and makes a cover 1......2....kick out by Edge. The match continues on back and forth as these two seem evenly matched. Edge goes up top for a missile dropkick and misses. Foley then throws Edge into the turnbuckle and nails him with a Splash. As Edge slumps to the floor, Foley pulls out Mr. Socko and calls for the Mandible Claw. Then Lita climbs into the ring and Foley nails her with Mr. Socko. Lita is choking as Foley applies the hold. Y2J run towards Foley and he nails him with Mr. Socko. Foley then throws Y2J and Lita both out of the ring. He turns around and is nailed with a SPEAR by Edge. Cover 1..2...3. Edge gets the victory.
Winner- Edge, by Pinfall
Afterwards, Y2J and Lita return to the ring and begin to stomp away. Edge knocks out the referee and goes under ring and grabs a barbed wired baseball bat and a bag. Lita and Y2J hold Mick and Edge nails him dead on with the Barbed Wire bat. Mick Foley is busted wide open. Edge motions to Lita to open the bag and Lita dumps out THUMBTACKS on the mat. Y2J and Edge set up Mick Foley for a double suplex onto the thumbtacks when....
IF YA SMELLLL, WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN!
The Rock runs to the ring to attempt to save Mick Foley. Edge charges at Rock but he connects with left and right hands and throws Edge over the ropes. Y2J hits the Rock in the back and attempts to bulldog him but the Rock pushes Y2J off of him. Y2J grabs the Barbed wired bat and goes to hit the Rock but misses and is hit with a Rock Bottom on the Thumbtacks. Y2J rolls out the ring screaming in pain and the Rock and Foley celebrate in the ring.
JR- The Rock and Mick Foley on the same page. Edge picks up the victory and attempts to destroy Foley. HHH, Cena, Rock and Edge all advance in the tournament. Quarterfinals are next week on RAW. Who will advance to the semifinals at Backlash!
