Would Reigns have won if Lesnar wasn't the champ?

Have you thought about this?

What if Rollins or somebody else was the champ, would they have him win, knowing the backfire he would receive? Or do they just want Lesnar vs Reings?

And if they knew about that backlash, why didn't they give the belt to Rollins?

Why not have have Reigns come back the way he did, go after Rollins, which made perfect sense and then try to cost Rollins the title match, only to accidently Superman-punch Lesnar. Rollins take advantage (or Cena) and they could have their Lesnar vs Reigns at 'Mania and we could have a better Rumble match and winner..

But they failed to even protect their future golden boy. The only man being ever protected is Cena...

Well, obviously Reigns is the guy they're going to go with. Time will tell whether this was the right choice or not. Obviously they didn't learn anything from last year, or maybe they're thinking "Well, the fans wanted Reigns last year, so this year we'll give them what they want". Only now Vince must be tearing his hair out at this point since now he thinks he's giving the fans what they wanted, and once again, they throw it back in his face.

That just shows that fans are fickle.

That's because Cena actually is one of the few people worth protecting.

I know hindsight is always 20/20, but Lesnar was always walking into WM31 as the champ if Reigns was back from injury.

Lesnar is the only man to beat the Undertaker at WM. He squashed Cena at SummerSlam. From a kayfabe standpoint, you don't get a much bigger WM moment than beating Lesnar. If they really are going to run with Reigns as a major part of the WWE future, this is a great start.
