Which Superstars have never wrestled for WWE? WWWF/WWF.

All I can think of is...

1. Sting
2. Abdullah the Butcher
3. Vampiro
4. Nikita Koloff
5. The Great Muta
6. Masahiro Chono
7. Jushin Thunder Liger
8. Magnum TA
9. Nick Bockwinkel
10. Abyss?

Anyone else? When I say Superstar I mean a wrestler that would sell out arena's in there respected area.
(Example: Abdullah was huge in Japan, Vampiro huge in AAA, Sting huge in WCW/NWA/TNA etc not non-superstars like the Norman Smiley or La Parka etc as an example.)

Who else can be added here?

The most famous one!!!

NICE find

I don't believe Allen Jones AKA "The Phenominal" A.J Styles ever formally signed a contract with WWE. Although he did wrestle on WWF Jakked and in a tryout match. He never formally signed though, not even developmental.

Samoa Joe, on the other hand, signed with UPW, a former WWE developmental affiliate, and wrestled on jakked while apart of that company.

But as for people who have never stepped foot inside a WWE ring, the two most famous that come to mind are Sting and Kenta Kobashi. Also I don't believe Nikitta Koloff ever did, but I'm not very well-versed in his history.

In the OP it says wrestlers to have never wrestled in WWE.

But in this case AJ DID wrestle for WWE vs The Hurricane in 2002.

Perhaps the one that sticks out the most to me is Keiji Mutoh. Now, before anybody goes posting vids of Muta-Hogan, from the early-90's, you can stop right now. That was not Muta working for WWE, that was Hogan (and others) working a NJPW card, at the Tokyo Dome. Muta has never, and it's looking likely that he never will, accepted a paycheck issued on a WWE account.

Also, I'm thinking Dave Sullivan, Big Reese from the Flock, and Lodi never did as well...

I wasn't sure wether we were going by if they signed contracts or just made an appearance. I said in my post that Styles wrestled on Jakked. I gues it depends on what you are going by. If you wanna go by if they signed contracts, then Styles never did. But if you want to go by appearances wrestling for them, regardless of being under contract, then Styles did appear, and with factual proof.

Also, who ever would've thought, seeing that match back then, that people like Styles or Joe would be as big as they are now. Or Danielson, for that matter, as he wrestled against Cena on Velocity once. For that matter, who can imagine seeing Cena and Danielson wrestling on Velocity (if it were still around) today? Sorry, I know it's off topic, but this is a spam section and just something to think about.

I feel like the only "superstar" never to wrestle for WWF/E is Sting. All these other guys might have been big somewhere less but not in the US.

Obviously if your a superstar somewhere than you ARE a superstar.. you can't deny there credit to what you believe to be fact.

Sting is the most thought in the US, but they are other areas in the planet that Wrestling is just as big than it is in the USA.

Personally I think Vampiro can come into any orgainization and he will be a star..

Hell Rey Mysterio did it right? Mil Mascareras before him, Abdullah the Butcher too, Bruiser Brody was almost eclusively wrestled in JAPAN.. even though he was american. He would work a few months in the US but wrestled the majority of his career over there. And if you ask any old school wrestling fan and wrestler Bruiser Brody was one of the top 5 most popular wrestlers ever in his time. Same goes for Abdullah the butcher, sure he wrestled for the NWA, ECW, and WCW but he was amost exclusive to japan as well. They were HUGE over there and a lot of American wrestlers go there to find work because they have a large fan base over there that rivals that of USA and Mexico.

To me nationality or region mean dick. Its about how talented you are and how you work that gets you over.. just because you're not in the USA does not mean that your not a superstar.

then again all this is just my opinion and not a personal attack I read this type of stuff in other areas. Just thought to voice my opinion on it.

Ironically enough, Antonio Inoki never wrestled in the WWE/F even though he's being inducted into their HOF. Little interesting, no? He competed against their stars, but not under the WWWF/WWF/WWE banner.

I don't recall A.J. Styles being on WWE...

This was covered a page back.
