You don't want it with me.
Well, the Cigar Lounge remains live and kicking. This week, we even got an appearance from Lord Sidious. Sidious made his name in the wrestling sections. He is a very polarizing poster, and while he may never be homecoming king, polarizing is good for the boards. He creates discussion.
Polarizing is important nowhere more that the Lounge. It drives the discussion, and mature adults can play that game and still be friends. X and I have agreed on two things, global warming and our hatred of Menstrual Blood, the poster, not the actual blood. But we are friends forever, and the Lounge doesn't change that. Sidious is the kind of poster that can bring that kind of measured dissension to new heights. Welcome to the Lounge.

Speaking of polarizing, Senator Ted Kennedy passed away this week. WHile many call him the liberal lion, he did a great job of crossing the aisle to work on the American's With Disabilities Act, civil rights, immigration, and too many more to mention over his nearly five decades in the Senate. Come pay your respects here.

A thread that started with the idea of talking about the power grab that may be going on right now turned into a great debate about the principles of government and the perception of the parties. I think I did some great work, and I know that X and KB did. Come look and see how far apart the parties are, and see if we can bridge the gap.

Come discuss your love or hate of America. Keep it clean though.

NSL wants to talk about the size of your penis.

There is an intense ethical debate getting ready to start. Can we justify killing? Is murder always murder? What, if any, excuses are there for some violent crimes?

Milkyway, a respected poster around these parts, made a foray into the Lounge this week, asking what methods we could prescribe to fix any problems in America. Come talk about Ronald Reagan, see me shed my right wing fascist reputation and proclaim my respect and man-crush on Bill Clinton.

All this and more is available in The Lounge.
Now, onto a popular feature from the newsletter.
This weeks featured posters are Xfearbefore and FTS. Yes, me. By popular demand, the people have mandated that we be featured. All the threads that we have starred in this week are mentioned above, but our best work is in here.

We agree on nothing. We argue like we're married. But, as opposed to last year at this time, we keep it civil and we keep the conversation going. No one expects the 2,000 word monstrosities we post, but reading a few of those might get your mind moving. Plus, we get tunnel vision, and some out of the box thought might improve the section. I am honored that the voters selected us, and I am honored to be paired with a man of such integrity. Thank you X for helping make the Cigar Lounge the best Non-Wrestling Section on the boards.
