The Juggernaut
Cloaked in bright, shiny metallic red and with raw power that outweighs nearly all, comes a beast with a connection Professor Charles Xaviers past, a record in the War in Korea and a personality thats unsure if its good or evil.
Debuting in X-Men #12, Cain Marko was introduced as Charles Xavier's stepbrother. He went on a rampage throughout Xavier's mansion as we learned about the characters background. A soldier in the Korean War, Marko discovered the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak in a cave, transforming into the mighty Juggernaut.
For many years, Marko was paired with Black Tom Cassidy, brother of long-running X-Man Banshee. With a team of brains and brawn, the diabolical pair wreaked havoc throughout the Marvel Universe before ultimately it was Marko who broke the partnership, realising how Cassidy had manipulated him over the years.
Since his separation from Black Tom, Markos done a lot of soul searching and while hes often been manipulated by external forces into doing evil, hes done his bit for good too, working with the X-Men, Excalibur and The Thunderbolts. But just who is Cain Marko? Well truth be told, hes the Juggernaut, bitch!
Powers:
Extreme Strength: When we talk about some of the most powerful characters in comics, were talking about the Juggernaut. Powered by the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, Cain Marko has the power to stand toe-to-toe with the Hulk and evenm fracture the Earths tectonic plates.
Incredibly Durability: Not many have withstood the blows of Mjölnir, hammer of the mighty Thor, but the Juggernaut has. Complete with his own mystical shield, the Juggernaut is powerful enough to absorb even the hardest blows with or without the shield. On top of this, the Juggernaut doesnt tire hence the name; The Unstoppable Juggernaut.
Abilities:
Army Training: While not exactly one for under-cover missions at the moment, a pre-Juggernaut Cain Marko did serve in the Korean War and as such he is fully trained in the ways of the United States army, arguably the most formidable army on the planet.
Assets:
Body Armour: The Juggernaut is mystically empowered and unable to feel blows dealt to him as they have no effect. This is amplified by the armour coating his body. In particular, the Juggernauts helmet is capable of blocking psychic attacks that dare attempt to invade the behemoths mind.
