Tag Tourney FAQs

Uncle Sam

Rear Naked Bloke
For the more easily confused among us.

What the fuck?
Please be more specific.

This question is an excuse for you to go over ground rules.
Regular non-spam rules apply. No spamming and no flaming are the most important ones. Look it up if you're confused. You'll find the rules dotted about the site - here and there, hither and fither, to and fro, back and forth.

Right. Sorry. So a tournament, huh?
Yep. There are rounds, regions, finals - all the good things you'd expect to find in a tournament.

Regions?
Uh-huh. Four of them to be exact. ECW, WWE, TNA and Mexico.

In ECW, every match is Extreme Rules unless otherwise specified.

In WWE, well, every match is your standard WWE rules. You watch WWE, right?

In TNA, matches take place in a six-sided ring.

In Mexico, um, the ring is slightly smaller and the wrestlers don't have health insurance? Yeah, that works. Mexico's a new region, y'see. Fuck WCW.

Didn't Shocky do towns as well?
Gone for two reasons. One, I'm a bit lazier than Shocky. Two, Kurt Angle having an advantage because the match is in Pittsburgh lead to some dodgy arguments.

How many teams?
64 in total. That's 44 regular teams from throughout history - who were picked by the staff and five separate battle royals - and 20 Deuce's Wild teams.

Deuce's... Wild?
They're teams with randomly paired wrestlers. There was a lot of arguments about whether to do all regular tag teams or all Deuce's Wild but instead I decided on an awkward compromise. Nobody wins!

Can I have a list of the teams then?

Uh-huh. How do I decide who to vote for?
Vote based on whatever criteria you like. Personally, I like the "shoot kayfabe" criteria on who would have won during their primes, based on their skill in kayfabe. Others just like the basic idea of picking whoever's better, and so on and so forth. Try to keep arguments relatively rational though.

Any gimmick matches?
In round three, when we're down to sixteen teams. I'll try to keep things interesting.

What's your favourite colour?
They call it "pebbles". It's somewhere between beige and brown, heaven and hell, living and dead, pleasure and pain.

Couldn't be bothered to put up any brackets, huh?
I'll put up some rudimentary brackets as soon as I have the time. I'm a busy man.
