Tag Team Induction (Hall of Fame 2011)

So I'm thinking of all the talk about this upcoming induction class and the rumor it will be based around WCW. Usually there has been one tag team inducted annually so I got to thinking who has the best chance of getting the nod for this year's hall. (I tried not to make the short info spots for the teams repetative)

Ivan and Nikita Koloff
- The Koloff's had one reign that lasted 113 days. They are perhaps most known for their fued with the Road Warriors as well as their attempts to dethrone Ric Flair. Both men are heavily respected and achieved a lot of singles success as well with Ivan winning the NWA Florida Tag Team Titles 5 times, The NWA Georgia Tag Team belts 7 times, the NWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship 4 times, the NWA Television Championship and the WWWF World title. Nikita also held the NWA World Title as well as the United States Championship.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash & Scott Hall)
- Two of the most legendary men in the buisness. With 6 WCW Tag titles under their belts for a combined length of 475 days, these two dominated the tag scene since their arrival in 1996. Most know their solo accomplishments as well in WCW and the WWF/E. And with both of their departures from TNA it seems like now would be a better time than ever for them to be inducted. Whether the WWF front office liked it or not, these two men jumping to WCW changed the wrestling world.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott)
- Possibly the best brother combination in wrestling history, the Steiners dominated the WCW tag division for years with a total of 7 reigns that totaled 520 days. Although Scott had more success in the singles game both are known throughout the world as tag team specialists.

The Brainbusters (Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard)
- Two fixtures for the NWA, these two members of the Four Horsemen could hold their own alone or in tag team competition. Tully achieved more singles success (Most notably for holding the NWA United States Championship). Arn and Tully had two reigns as NWA Tag Team Champions and also had a decent amount of success in the WWF in the late eighties.

The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal)
- What do I really need to say? The overall top tag team in most peoples opinion, including mine.

Harlem Heat (Booker T & Stevie Ray)
- This is a wild card pick for me. I was a huge fan of the tag team and with their 10 WCW Tag Title reigns it was great to be a fan of them. We all know Stevie is the Marty Jannetty of the situation (I hate that saying but I feel as though I would be called out for not using it) but both were solid members of the WCW roster, especially Booker in the later years.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Gene Anderson and Ole Anderson)
- The first ever NWA Tag Team Champions had 7 reigns with an estimated length of close to 1,000 days. Both were old school and as tough as they got. Ole is perhaps more know due to his involvement in the Four Horsemen.

And basically I got tired of doing the short bios but these are the other teams I could see being inducted,

The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton)
- As popular as anyone else.

The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton)
- Jim Cornette was their manager, remember them now?

The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy, Jimmy Garvin and Michael "PS" Hayes)
- These three guys have a tremendous chance, especially if their fued with the Von Erich's in WCCW is taken into account.

The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs)
- Hate the say it because their probably the least gifted tag team on the list, but they held a lot of gold. Certainly if Hogan was in WWE this would have a high chance of happening.

Honorable Mention
Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood

A great tag team for the NWA. They only held the Tag belts for 31 days which was their only reign, but they were quite possibly the most popular tag team at the time.

Out of those choices you put, I will say The Outsiders. They pretty much created what was known as the nWo (4 LIFE!).

I'd like to see:
The Road Animals
The Outsiders
The Brainbusters
The Rockers
The Hart Foundation
Harlem Heat

Alot of these guys will be/have been inducted as single wrestlers but they were all memorable for there tag team runs which were very exciting

here who i think should get in tag teams and singles top 5!!
tag teams that should be going in.

1. rythm and blues : honky tonk man and greg valintine
2: the the rockers
3. the twin towers " boss man and hokeem
4. the road warriors aka LOD
5. team USA

singles:
1: macho man randy savage
2. HBK
3. undertaker
4 jake the sanke roberts
5. kevin nash

people that deserve but may never
1. the ultimite warrior
2. jake the snake roberts
3 DDP
4. sting
5. broak lesner

I have to agree with you on the majority of what you put on here. for your singles, I strongly believe that the undertaker should be in the hall of fame, however, i dont think they will induct him until after he retires. I do have to disagree with brock lesnar. I personally dont think he did much in the wwe to be inducted into the hall of fame. but for the most part, nice job!

Two teams that have been forgotten even though The Million Dollar Man is in the hall of fame the Tag team of the Mega Bucks and also the Mega Powers. Yes Hogan is in TNA but what these two teams did in the late 80's should still be remembered.

Just because Tag Teams are or were in TNA does not mean they also shouldn't be remembered. Team 3D also should get inducted.

I completely agree on 3D but its not going to happen as long as they are in TNA, which is why I excluded them. I only wanted logical and possible inductees. Megapowers, wont happen. Hogan is already inducted and it wouldnt make sense for Savage and Hogan to be inducted together considering they both deserve and should have been inducted already for their singles work.

Road Warriors. They should be in there first and foremost. They had an innovative tag style, were one of the first major teams that did the quick tag format on a regular basis. (I know other have done it, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that they did it, perfected it and had the biggest audience while doing it.) Tag champions on multiple occasions and made tag wrestling exciting.

The Outsiders. Formed one of the biggest and most dominate groups in wrestling history. Decent in the ring (as a team), great on the mic and had some solid feuds as well. They deserve to be inducted.

The Steiner Bros. Had a great gimmick, speed and power and they never really get the just due they deserve. Nonetheless, I think they have done more than enough to get a HOF nod.

The Dudley Boyz. Most decorated tag team in wrestling. Champions where ever they have gone. Helped ECW's otherwise up and down tag division. Helped make WWE tag teams matter along with Edge & Christian and The Hardy Boyz and they also made TNA a little interesting within the division as well.

Just a few of the teams that I can think of off the top of my head.

Road Warriors They are without a doubt the best tag team in the history of the buisness.

Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard Since this is a wcw themed Hall of Fame, you cant go without one of the NWA's most successfully tag team.

How about the Dudley Boyz, they've won more tag team championships than any other tag team. They're one of if not the greatest tag team of all time, I would love to see them inducted.

E&C, maybe a wild card but they still could be inducted. They were great and won numerous tag titles, although both Edge and Christian are still active wrestlers they could still be inducted as the team.

The Dudleyz wouldn't get in because they are still with TNA. My choice would be The Road Warriors, just for how they made tag team wrestling big.

If they are only going to induct 1 team then it will a tough choice, as there are a few worthy candidates.

The Steiners, Harlem Heat, Road Warriors, Outsiders. I think if they were going to pick one it will be either The Road Warriors or The Outsiders, probably the Warriors. So recognisable and more legendary as a duo than Hall & Nash, who were both singles wrestlers as well as a tag team. The Warriors came from a time where a tag team stayed together for years and there were specialist "TAG TEAM" wrestlers, rather than singles guys thrown together to make a team and fill a spot on the card,

I definately think Harlem Heat and The Steines are worthy of induction at some point, but I cant see it happening this year. Also, for the Outsiders, Hall is in a really bady way in hospital and Nash will probably be back in TNA by then, so Road Warriors for me.
