Okay, this may be taken by another "Dream match thread" by some of you, but for me, it's more realistic then ever. Wreslemania 32 will be in his hometown of Houston, TX. He's said in some podcasts that he would do a match if it was a good one, he was ready, and he was well payed. What would be the match you would want to see SCSA work, why, and do you think he should have one more match?

Personally, I have a few that I would like to see. One is going to get lots of complaining, but here it goes.

1) Stone Cold Steve Austin VS. CM Punk
2) Stone Cold Steve Austin VS. The Undertaker
3) Stone Cold Steve Austin VS. Brock Lesnar
4) Stone Cold Steve Austin VS. John Cena
5) Stone Cold Steve Austin VS. Randy Orton

CM Punk may get his hot head cooled off by WM 32, and if he's offered the main event of WM 32, he may just accept, it's all about if WWE wants to offer him that or not, and if he cools himself down and gets passion for WWE again. Undertaker fully depends on if he can. Brock Lesnar is fully possible, if he extends his WWE contract past WM 31. Cena, I'm going to be afraid of a burial, so Cena looks like the 'best ever'. Now Randy Orton, for this to be good Orton has to go back to being a complete heel, the heel he was in 2009 when he was destroying John Cena and Triple H week in and week out, this is a dream match, but only if Orton is used right.

Which out of those would be your favorite dream match? Or do you have a completely different one?

Here we go again! The annual "Austin: One More Match" thread.

Let me suggest this. SCSA fight in his next match:- NO ONE!

Austin has a stuffed neck. One bump and he can be paralysed.

Why would Austin want to come back? He is wealthy, he can do what he likes, he has a Legends contract for life, he can show up on "Raw" , reel off his catchphrases, and he will make millions. Why would he want to wrestle again, when he has nothing left to prove, and could spend life in a wheelchair? Why, just so some snotty-nosed fans, who can't move on from the Attitude Era, can be pleased.

Austin should stop trolling you. He can't wrestle again, and doesn't WANT to wrestle again, EVER! It can't happen, and it won't happen. Time to move on.

The only way I can see him having a match is in a multi-man tag-team match where others carry the load, he came in, gave a Stunner, a stomp against the ropes, and tag out, so his fans can shoot their load for a few seconds. Other than that, he will never EVER wrestle again.

Please lock this thread, since the OP is delusional and is bringing up a boring subject where I have stated, time and again, what reality is, and not indulging fantasies of others.

Okay, one, nice raging on the forums. Second, it's called a dream match for a reason. He MAY wrestle, didn't say he WOULD. Lastly, how do you know for sure what SCSA can do, do you have direct access to his medical records?

Austin has said numerous times now that his neck is healthy to get back in the ring if he wanted to. Austin stated some odd years ago that if he wanted to he could go full time for 2 years, that was what he felt he had in him. Further more, the last I've seen of Austin really talking about coming back and him giving any depth to the conversation was him saying if he came back he'd want a couple of months to build into something at wrestlemania. Basically making it sound like he'd want to do something similar to The Rock where The Rock had a couple month stint.

I don't know why on earth people keep spouting this non sense that Austin is one bump away from ending up in a wheel chair. He has claimed he could go if he so desired, this isn't Hogan we're talking about so I think I'll believe Austin on this.

Why would he come back? You've listed fairly valid reasons why he wouldn't need to come back, but left out the main reason he would come back: simply because he wanted to. I don't doubt Austin would like to come back, but Austin is smart and I don't think he sees there being anything truly worth while for him to do in the WWE upon a return. Austin started opening up more and more to a match with CM Punk.. and then Austin publicly stated some things like punk needing more aggression and perhaps Punk wouldn't be the opponent for him. Basically Austin stopped liking what he saw out of Punk and soured on the idea.

I think if WWE can build a big star out of Roman Reigns in the next couple of years a Roman Reigns vs Austin match could be on the table..or anyone really... if WWE can make a star out of them? And Austin likes their work? and the price is right? Austin will wrestle. He's done everything but flat out say this.

Most likely he won't wrestle again, but you're once again wrong saying he can't wrestle, stop it already.

...YOU have stated time and time again "reality"? Sorry but I don't think too many people give two fucks what jack-off #37 has to say on the subject. I'll take Austin's word that he could go if he wanted to over yours any day of the week.

Anyway.. I voted for Brock Lesnar. If Austin was able to come back and still had it.. or if they both wrestled in their prime.. it'd be one hell of a match.

If Austin COULD wrestle, and WANTS to, then why doesn't he?

WWE could have had Austin fight Cena at WM28 and WM29, and it might have been a bigger match- the top guy in the Attitude Era vs the top guy in the PG Era.

Also, if Austin could have done another five years, then why didn't he come back. He could have shaken things up, instead of having Cena on top all this time. Hell, Austin could have done the occassional match.

If Austin could wrestle again, and wanted to, he would have by now. It is ten years since he retired, and he has never stepped in the ring for a match. So, why hasn't he? He would have a raft of fresh opponents, he has been away long enough to matter, and he could even come back on a part-time schedule.

In fact, under your reasoning, WWE would be derelict to not approach SCSA to wrestle at WM31. He was in the ring with the Rock and Hogan, why not have had Austin have a match at WM30?

Besides, I have heard Austin, on "Tough Enough" and in interviews say that he doesn't need or want to come back to the ring. So, I don't know where you heard he did. Maybe it was from your own wishful thinking.

Time to move on, I think.

The top 2 answers for me is CM Punk and John Cena in that order. Punk for the obvious clash of personalities and Cena for that big money match that would probably be billed as another "Once in a Lifetime" type of match. I'd love to see him in the ring because I was probably one of the few in the world who missed out on the majority of the Attitude Era and if he's healthy enough to bring it like he did back then, I'm all for it.

If Austin COULD wrestle, and WANTS to, then why doesn't he?

I believe he's good for at least one more run, don't necessarily think that he could go multiple years even with a part time schedule. But, if he only has one run left in him, both Austin and the WWE will be looking for the best sencario with the biggest payout. My money would be at AT&T Stadium for WrestleMania 32.

WWE could have had Austin fight Cena at WM28 and WM29, and it might have been a bigger match- the top guy in the Attitude Era vs the top guy in the PG Era.

In my opinion, no way could Austin V Cena have been better than Rock V Cena at WM 28. Cena and Rock had some pretty real heat against each other their first go round and I believe this was the match that more people would rather have if you were to poll the general public back then.

Besides, I have heard Austin, on "Tough Enough" and in interviews say that he doesn't need or want to come back to the ring. So, I don't know where you heard he did. Maybe it was from your own wishful thinking.

He's said on his recent podcasts and interviews that he "reserves the right" to wrestle again if he wants to. He doesn't foresee himself wrestling in this coming Mania but for WM 32, especially if it's in Dallas, Texas, I wouldn't put it past Stone Cold to lace up the boots one more time.

Since Punk is not coming back probably ever, I voted for Randy Orton, The Viper, The Viper vs The Texas Rattlesnake, this story sells itself because everybody more or less has compared Randy Orton to Stone Cold but also Orton did use to be a Legend Killer after all and Austin is a Hall of Famer, a legend in his own right, and Orton I have no doubt he would be able to carry Austin the whole match but also he would make Austin look good too

Maybe they should have Austin v Punk in a "Walkout" match. The last wrestler to walk off wins (since both these guys are masterclasses in walking off when they don't get their own way).

Or maybe they could fight in a "Crybaby" match, for the same reason.

Brock has defeated the Streak, he's beaten the Champ John Cena. He's a monster, so obviously the hero to save "us" all and stop the monster is the greatest WWE superstar ever; Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The biggest monster/villain in the history of the WWE vs the greatest hero in the WWE (regardless if he's an anti-hero).

But the logical answer is CM Punk. Most want it and Austin wouldn't mind stepping in the ring with Punk SHOULD the story be good and everything else goes the way Austin wants (don't take that the wrong way btw.)
Doesn't look like it'll happen since Punk seems to "retire" from the WWE.

From a realistic standpoint, Austin is out of shape, badly. Plus the only reason he never came back to wrestle is because he's happy with the way his career ended. And he doesn't wanna risk coming back and ruining his legacy.

Come on mate, while this thread is done a lot, it's still a valid discussion, and new options come up almost every year. I've seen this a lot too and understand what you mean but there's no need to shit all over the thread.

It's always interesting to discuss "what might be" and that accounts for at least 50% of threads on the forum. As unlikely as another Austin match might be, some people still find it fun to go "who would he face, if he could?"

I admit that this rings somewhat true and made me laugh.

Anyway, that aside, I'm going to mention an other candidate I've got lined up for this sort of occurence. Ask me a year ago, I would have said CM Punk, no question. But now he's gone, he won't return any time soon, and I have a different idea.

You could put Austin against some other big megastar name, or you could get a newer guy involved like Dean Ambrose. This match would be money. Think about it: he's intense, over AF, unhinged, and has a danger element to him. You turn Ambrose into the heel who's determined to prove himself "better" than Stone Cold. There would be many cans of whoop-ass being opened up here. There would be promo slanging matches. The match would ultimately be this intense brawl.

Obviously Austin is kinda old now & I personally think it's talk to keep people hyped when he says he could go again, so I don't expect this to actually happen, but it's my "in an ideal world" kind of thing.
