ATLANTA -- A security officer says a popular professional wrestler she was assigned to protect assaulted her.

Now police said they are investigating.

The officer said World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Heath Slater thought she was pretty and tried to get her up to his room.

She said Slater put her in a chokehold started dragging her inside a downtown Atlanta hotel.

"When he grabbed me I immediately tried to grab his arms back," security officer Corinne Oliver said.

Oliver said it was the worst moment of her life. "And I was saying 'turn me a loose.' He wouldn't turn me loose," she said.

That's when she said the professional wrestler put her in a chokehold.

"I just started fighting with him, trying to get his arm from around my throat," Oliver said.

She said as she struggled to get away, Slater kept "begging me to go to his room with him," Oliver said.

Oliver said she managed to get away and was later able to identify her attacker as popular wrestler Heath Slater.

Oliver said her ordeal took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Atlanta during Wrestlemania last April.

Oliver was working for the security company Allied-Barton. She said it was her job to keep fans away from the wrestlers.

Oliver said Slater attacked her as she walked with him inside the hotel.

Pretty sickening if true.

I just watched this on the news here in Atl about a minute ago. You beat me to it. If this is true, Slater might just be getting that expected release of wishing him well on his future endeavors. Now, the report that just aired says that there is no footage of the incident. Is Vinny Mac buying them off? or is Slater possibly just lucky?

If this is true.. Slater is defiantly gone.

So I'm hoping this is just a false report of some bitch trying to garner money by making a B.S. story or exaggerating it.

I was just starting to like Slater too...

Slater = Future Endeavored.

I mean common the article called him a "popular wrestler" that was just so wrong in many ways. Heath isn't a top star. Heath doesn't have any charisma. He's gone. The WWE might have invested in him but since they're looking to release some wrestlers soon and Heath. A jobber to the stars. Did this that's it it's over for him the highlights of his career are probably just participating in a Money in the Bank ladder match and being apart of the original Nexus. Heath will be gone in 2 months time and I don't know if he'll be missed by anyone but his apparent buddy Wade Barrett. Who MIGHT be his only chance to get out of this mess.

Whooooa. Gonna go ahead and change the name of this thread, he is accused of this, he didnt DO it, necessarily, just yet.

That said, things like this tend to come up, and then go away. However, given how image wary they are in WWE now, and Slaters nothing status on the card, I could see them releasing him simply for the bad publicity (which would in and of itself would look bad...Releasing someone who is just ismply accused of something?)

It probably wont develop into anything legally for him, but I wouldnt be awfully suprised to see WWE release him either.

Touche. I thought the question mark at the end would provide more of a questioning tone, but I guess it's still a little bit on the implying side.

Why is this story just now coming out? It's not like Wrestlemania was yesterday, was it? I don't know of any woman on the planet that would not have went walked the 50ft to CNN headquarters to get on TV to tell the world what had just happened. My guess.....SHE hooked up with Slater and went to his room, then after he pulled the 'ol Hit It & Quit It and never called her. Then she's pissed and tries to get revenge!

Innocent until PROVEN guilty!

If it's true then Slater will be future endeavoured no doubt. WWE have been in the media for the right things lately with Punk Vs Cena storyline and I'm sure they don't want bad press again with one of their employees. Slater isn't a big star so I think WWE won't think twice about releasing him if it is in fact true. I hope it isn't true because I was starting to like Slater and not only will he be released but I won't like him any more because he's assaulted a woman.

I highly doubt this. As wrestlefan73 asked, why is this just now coming out? Any police officer would have reported this as soon as it happened. This was months ago. And this isn't the first time a celebrity (no matter what their status is) has been ACCUSED of something. And I believe it would be illegal for WWE to fire him because of bad publicity if he didn't even do it and this was a feaux story; it's not his fault (if this story is false).

AND if it really did happen, I believe that a police officer would have apprehended him. Called in back up as soon as it happened or something. They have handcuffs, guns, mace, batons and stuff all easily accessible. And unless there is video evidence (seeing as how there is most likely ANY physical evidence) this is just a he-said-she-said type case. And we all know how those turn out (Casey Anthony).

Seems very fake.. Lets say we was in her position.. and it just happened to us, We would go right to the police and report it ASAP. Not wait 5 months?! Maybe she wants some $$$ or maybe just attention? I Hope it's fake, even though Slater means nothing to me.

Slater couldnt drag me into any room, and I'm scrawnier than CM Punk. I really doubt this is true, and if it is he was probably really wasted or something. It doesnt sound like something a professional does, especially during Mania. I hope its not true, a woman assaulted and WWE gaining bad press, just sounds like another day for the news.

slater i dont even know any moves of this guy but i hope for his shake its fake but you never know and why would it take 5 months to this woman could have a post traumatic stress disorder  but i dont think so

Really how long ago was wrestlemania now? And she only just decides to report it. This can't be legit, I meant you would report it as soon as possible not in August. Sounds like someone will do anything for a bit of money. Plus the article called Slater popular which is by no means true.

If its fake the only thing i wonder is why Health? I mean he isnt really important atm and there are better people to go for...

I hope its fake but that one piece of info makes me unsure.

But if its real then i hope he gets put behind bars for awhile. no excuse for that kinda stuff.

You're a ******. Quite often, women who are attacked, assaulted, and/or raped delay reporting for days, weeks, months.. countless women NEVER report it. For you to say "this cant be legit because she immediately didnt go screaming to the police and file a report" is stupid. She worked as security for WWE. She couldve feared for her job. Couldve feared retaliation by fans. Couldve feared losing the extra income working security for sporting events brought in. Couldve feared noone believing her, or being painted as a greedy, money-hungry liar (much like you are now)

I dont know if it actually happened. Neither do you. Only Slater and this lady know for sure. Possibly only this lady, if Slater were drunk.

If it did happen, I hope he gets fired, sentenced, and goes to jail. If it didnt happen, I hope she loses her job and goes to jail. But to call her a liar just because she didnt immediately go file a report is wrong.

Doesn't sound legit to me, sounds like someone just trying to exploit the WWE because they are low on cash or some shit.
If it did happen, then good on the girl for reporting it and doing the right thing.
I wouldn't like to see Slater go though, he is a sweet performer and could be in the upper-mid card later this year

I don't buy it. How many times a year do you hear of celebrities getting accused of this shit? I'm guessing it's someone looking for a payday. As she said, "she recognized him from TV". I love how no one is pointing out that she looks old enough to be Slaters mother.

More importantly, how come everyone is so quick to judge Slater. Based on some of these posts it seems like people are saying "I always knew he was a sexual predator". None of us know Slater, and none of us know this woman.

Also, if you read the entire article it says a rep for Slater said he was with his fiance that night and nothing happened. If he has an alibi, then her story really goes down the drain.

It seems like people are actually implying that he's guilty because they don't like his wrestling. That's sick. I don't remember anyone calling for Stone Colds head when the porn star he was dating years back told police he beat and raped her. Granted, she later admitted it was all a lie.

The guy has been ACCUSED of something. That is about as far from guilty as possible. If the WWE does release him over an accusation, it will just show that they don't give a damn about standing up for their employees.

i was surprised by this if its true expect him to be fired sooner rather then later but until its proved to be true i would hope vince wouldnt fire slater hes a good talent and could be good for the midcard but this might end his wwe run before he ever got a singles career

Meh, I'd take this with a grain of salt, you never know with these accusations. This kind of stuff happens all the time, celebrities, athletes, all kinds of people get slapped with fake accusations. That being said, if it is true, then I'm disgusted by it. There's one negative regardless of the truth though; this is bad press for Slater and he's really in a bad position right now. He's an up and comer, this could sink his relatively young career and that would be a real shame, he has some good ability and he could be a very solid member of the roster some day.

I was thinking the same thing. If it takes that long to report any criminal activity, its fishy to me. If she would've gone right away she could have had physical damages, not now. There's no evidence unless there is video of it. People could be paid to be "eye witnesses" so that shouldn't work

I agree with this

This was at WM and now its getting revealed? -.-

I bet something like this wouldnt be held back so long. If she was so sure it was slater then she would of done this months ago. This seems fake to me.

he's not worth the bad publicity even if he's innocent, I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it ruin his career over nothing
