Anybody else watching this religiously?

I'm a huge Neil Gaiman fan, and American Gods may be my favorite story of his. I think the season premiere was fantastic. Near perfect cast, exceptional dialogue, and they gave us just enough for a first episode to keep us invested without giving the whole thing away.

I know a minor gripe online is the updated Technical Boy character. In the book he's a fat, greasy, basement-dwelling neckbeard of a guy who is the God of the Internet. American Gods came out in 2001 though, and the net wasn't as huge as it is now 16 years later. I love that he's a fuckboy rich asshole that's toking on synthetic frogskins and shit.

Not too big on the intro just yet. Yeah it's weird and that's Gaiman's aesthetic, but eh. Then again the Game of Thrones intro grew on me, so this is a very minor gripe.

Bout to watch & as I know nothing of the source material, it should be interesting. I was hooked from the premise and cast announcement though. Will get back to ya with some thoughts.

So, that was a pretty good start. Main characters are interesting, great feeling of mystery & the visuals are wonderful. Really liking the casting choices & Ian is again a gem. Looking forward to seeing where this all goes & its enough so far to get me to grab the book.
