Everyone Read This Right Now - Regarding Spoilers

Welcome to My (And Not Sly's) House
A lot of stuff has happened this week as far as shows that haven't aired yet. That being said, DO NOT POST SPOILERS EITHER IN THREAD TITLES OR OUTSIDE OF THE CAGE. This is incredibly rude as it's ruining shows for people that don't want them ruined. If you post something outside of areas other than the cage that spoils anything, you're banned for a week. I don't care if it's on the main page or not. There are no exceptions.

I do find this quite funny. What part of the Wrestlezone administration doesn't think that posting news stories like "Spoilers: Huge title change at SD Tapings" isn't actually a spoiler. You don't have to read it to know exactly whats happened, the title pretty much ruins it. Maybe if the forum rules overlapped onto those of the main site I'd be able to come on here without some fuckwit ruining TV shows for me.

I gotta agree. I didn't take too fondly to "Huge Title Change At SD! Tapings" being plastered over the top of the page. I know this is falls under Chris Cash and the main site guys, but it's not fun.

Little things like that shouldn't be to bad. it happens what, four times a year? that's not that bad. Australians don't get raw until the next day so every week we face having to see spoilers no matter how much we try to avoid it. (cage, Sigs, GSD) yet nothing can be done about that. people keep on posting what happens everywhere including the place it's not allowed to be mentioned. We get Smackdown before you but can't post about it until you guys watch it. I used to be shitty over it but I got over it.

The top little part can't be helped. It's something you'll have to get used too.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply ban spoilers altogether from the entire forums? No spoilers in the titles, or in the regular sections, but none in the Cage as well? I realize the Cage is a "no rules" section, but that's not totally true. There are a few rules in the Cage, albeit far less than anywhere else. Why not just eliminate spoilers from the Cage as well? Many of us go in there regularly and will end up seeing spoilers that we don't want to see. Events can still be discussed, under the relaxed rules setting of the Cage, but only after they air on TV.

The updates from the main page on top on the forum page, unfortunately that is unavoidable. For some reason, though, I rarely notice them and didn't notice the one regarding this week's SD until someone mentioned it here. I never visit the main page due to spoiler issues. Just ban spoilers altogether, then if people try to not look at the updates on top of the page, problem is solved as much as it possibly can be.

The main site gets traffic by posting things like spoilers. It is what helps make them money. What you see at the top of the forum is a feed from the main page, where ALL stories get put into the feed automatically. However, to the credit of the main site, they almost never put the actual spoiler in the title, but rather have you click on the link to read the story. So, in that, you have to choose to read the spoiler.

I don't like having spoilers anywhere, but the main site makes their money off people visiting their articles. Here on the forum, we have many posters who avoid the main page and spoilers for that very reason. So the main site caters to what their fans want, and the forum caters to what its fans want.

It's not perfect, but it's the best we can do to ensure that anyone who doesn't want to read spoilers doesn't have to accidentally.

The only rules in the Cage are the prohibition of posting anything illegal. And yes, pornography falls under that heading, as providing pornography to people under the age of 18 is against the law.

Why not just eliminate spoilers from the Cage as well?
Because the Cage has no rules, other than the posting of things which are illegal.

Many of us go in there regularly and will end up seeing spoilers that we don't want to see.
Then if it's a problem, I suggest you not visit the Cage. There is a GSD as well, in which you can have non-wrestling spam discussion without the fear of spoilers.

I notice the title of the particular story has been changed, nice to see feedback has been taken on board.

Why not make a spoiler forum and have with the thing of the cage where it doesn't show what the most recent thread title is?

This thread is by far necessary. I've seen more spoilers ever this week then any other week. Also, I have seen many other people hinting as to what happens. I can't stand spoilers UNLESS I personally know I won't be watching Smackdown and decide for myself to look for them.

Because people are idiots.
Exactly. Which means that they will post spoilers in the main forums, regardless of whether we have a spoiler forum or not. A spoiler forum doesn't stop people from posting spoilers in the main threads.

I guess the cage is kind of spoiler forum anyways.
It can be.

It's been worse. I remember when Edge won the title (I think it was Edge), and the WWE announced it on their web site by Wednesday. Talk about having stuff spoiled...

Yeah, I remember that. Edge won the World Heavyweight Championship by cashing in Money In The Bank on the Undertaker. I was watching ECW and on the bottom of the screen it said that Edge won the title. I was so pissed that it got spoiled for me that I didn't watch Smackdown for a week.

When do Australians get to watch WWE PPVs? Tuesday? If someone talks about the outcome of a WWE PPV in a spam or non spam section, its not a spoiler. I understand if Raw or Smackdown were to air earlier before it aired in the U.S, but PPVs are different. Thanks for the double red rep and trolling because you obviously don't know what the definition of a spoiler is. If the rules have changed to not speak of the outcome of a PPV until Tuesday, then why has everyone posted a review or talked about Christian's title reign Sunday night? I guess everyone posted spoilers, if that were true.

No because the rules on Spoilers state that it's when it's aired in the states.

No we get it live. I'm not talking about PPV's though Am I? I'm talking about Raw
. Thanks for the double red rep and trolling because you obviously don't know what the definition of a spoiler is.
I know what the definition of a spoiler is. do you? A spoiler is telling somebody how something ends if they haven't seen it. in this case I don't get to see raw until after Americans. So I avoid the wrestling sections and stay in the GSD and the Cage until I have. It gets ruined for me in there. no matter how hard I avoid it. (without staying off the forums all together.) and double rep? I replied to your rep about how it's not a spoiler if it's aired in America. Seriously, how wrong could you be? I didn't rep you twice for it. and If I did, then it wasn't set out to attack you.
If the rules have changed to not speak of the outcome of a PPV until Tuesday,
Again, one, I'm not talking about PPV's, and Two, The rule is No wrestling discussion in the GSD. How is it my fault if I go in there and find out spoilers about Raw?

Anyway I'm done posting in this thread. I sent you a PM reply there.
