D1 - Sasha Banks versus Becky Lynch

Day 1 of the inaugral WrestleZone International Cup begins with tag team matches that pit Team U.S.A against Team R.O.W in randomly assigned matches. Who will gain the early advantage in the Cup and who will let their team down? Let the debate begin!

Boards are open for 1 day for discussion and then polling will begin in 24 hours. Polling lasts for 48 hours afterwards. The winning team gets the point. In the event of a draw, teams will half a point each.

After having a look at the record between the two women, I think this is a tough draw for Becky. I really like Becky but she has consistently played second fiddle to Sasha throughout her whole career. In fact, I think Becky has only beat Sasha once or twice in singles matches throughout her career whilst Sasha has a good few more than that. It is clear that the WWE believe in Sasha a little more to be a main event talent than they do Becky, which is a bit of a shame because they are both equally talented.

But the fact remains that Sasha has gotten the better of Becky in singles matches more often than Becky has gotten the better of Sasha. Sasha gets my vote for that reason alone.

I love both wrestlers but I'm going with Sasha here. More accomplishments. Better performances. We could always argue about who's better in the ring. But performances tell that it's Sasha.

I like both of them, but I have to give Sasha the edge. Whether it's been NXT or the main roster, Sasha Banks has simply been the bigger star with bigger matches, bigger moments and bigger wins. Becky will give her a tough match but the Boss ultimately takes it.

Sasha got the luck of the draw with this one. Recent history has shown Sasha to be > Becky in pretty much every way imaginable. Sasha has become more decorated, she's beaten Becky more times than vice versa, and has generally looked like a stronger competitor. Sasha is second only to Charlotte on the main roster. Third in the company if you count Asuka. Becky would be hard pressed to make the top 5.

All things considered, this was an easy match for the Boss.
