On January 1st 2016 a shock came to the wrestling world, Mick Foley announced on twitter that he has signed a TV deal with WGN America that will broadcast a 2 hour prime time wrestling show every Saturday night called CWE War Zone Wrestling. The majority of episodes will be pre taped inside 2300 Arena and it will be nicknamed "The War Zone" the arena is said to be decorated with superb production quality.
CWE will have a part time national touring schedule and will air special live episodes every now and then as well as PPVs. Mick Foley announced that the new wrestling promotion will have full support by WGN America and will receive financial backing from them as well as a few private investors.
Mick Foley has also signed a deal with Amazon that will see special exclusive CWE shows air on Amazon Prime as part of a sponsorship deal.​

CWE War Zone Wrestling WGN America Press Conference
Warner Bros. Executive and President of WGN America Matt Cherniss expressed his excitement in starting up another wrestling promotion that he feels will provide a true alternative to the WWE. He believes the show will provide good ratings for the channel and teased that their are several major names that are likely to sign with the promotion.

Mick Foley announces the debut date of the show will be March 11th, towards the end of the show while Foley promotes the premier episode ..... something happens....

CHUCK NORRIS!, Chuck Norris comes on stage and takes the microphone away from Mick Foley, he announces that he is an investor in the promotion and that he will be the Co- Executive of CWE on television. Chuck Norris promises their will be no monkey business in CWE and that all matches will be fair and square.​

Announced for CWE

Major news today as Mick Foley announced on twitter that major wrestling stars CM Punk and Christian Cage have both signed major exclusive wrestling deals with CWE. Dana White dropped CM Punk from the UFC roster much to the pleasure of MMA fans as Dana was worried about a possible hijacking at the show of Punks debut with the trend #HijackUFC trending very well on twitter. Christian Cage was granted his release from WWE after he was unhappy with his pay on he and Edges show on the WWE Network and the treatment of his retirement from in ring action. Christian Cage expressed his interest in wrestling again and was given positive opinions from doctors that he could still wrestle. Christian wrestled a number of independent events before getting the call from Mick Foley. Mick Foley offered Christian a very generous offer and Christian happily signed.​

Rampage Jackson Is Coming To CWE!

Massive news announced today as it was revealed by Mick Foley on twitter that Rampage Jackson has signed a exclusive full time wrestling deal with CWE, the deal is said to be very lucrative from insider reports. Rampage Jackson has just recently retired from MMA competition and has just been inducted into the UFC HOF. Rampage Jackson has been very open about his passion for pro wrestling and his desire to one day wrestle. Rampage Jackson has been taking pro wrestling training lessons with the Wild Samoan Training Center for a number of months now and is said to be performing very well and is able to wrestle at anytime.

CWE signs arena deals with Old Warner Brothers studio in Hollywood, Universal Studios Orlando and Manhattan Center in New York that will see CWE use these venues on a semi regular bases during touring schedules. Insider reports say that a major PPV is set to be held in MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.​

SLAMEGEDDON IS COMING TO LAS VEGAS!

Major news surrounding a possible CWE PPV in Vegas was made official today from CWE as a promotional video was uploaded on Youtube to hype the future super PPV event which will be named 'Slamegeddon' that will take place July 3rd at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The famous venue has been headlined by many icons such as Mike Tyson, Ronda Rousey and Jay Z. Mick Foley saids that CWE will make an impact their with the debut of the new annual super PPV 'Slamegeddon' and is set to feature many high profile dream matches as well as many high profile celebrity appearances.​
