If Dynamite was going up against most other competitors, it would be one of those choices where you'd have to forget his misgivings and just go with his potential in his prime.

Thankfully for my soul, I don't have to think that way and can easily picture Harley twisting Dynamite's limbs until he resembles a Plamen Dimitrov sculpture.

If Tom Billington wasn't already in a wheelchair, Harley might have put him in one. He was trained in grappling by the legendary Zbyszko brothers, two great catch wrestlers who were popular performers from the turn of the century up til the 20's, and was known as one of the toughest men in the industry. He would be most unimpressed by Billington's technical prowess. Impressive as he was, he'd be no match for Harley's great strength - he slammed Andre the Giant - speed, and endurance.

Race would break him in half.

There's no need to use hyperbole here. Dynamite Kid was a great technician, but he didn't really achieve anything in singles wrestling. Harley Race was a multiple time world champion and clearly a much bigger name. He'd win this at a canter.

Damn shame for someone who was such a huge influence in the business to go out in the first, but Dyno's track record and accomplishments dont come even vaugely the same region as Harley Race.

Dynamite Kid is one of those guys that you always hear people talking about when it came down to "potential" and what he could've been. That's all well and good, he was a great technician and he did win a number of titles in various promotions around the world. In the US, he's probably best remembered by most fans for his run as one half of the WWF Tag Team Champions with Davy Boy Smith back in the 80s.

Harley Race was a badass, a major star wherever he wrestled and, officially, a 7 time NWA World Heavyweight Champion. There's just no comparison really. You have unrealized potential vs. realized potential and it's hard to go against realized potential when it's Harley Race.
