The Mamas and The Papas wins this one for me based off of how much I love "California Dreaming". Some people may not know this but one of the members of The Mamas and The Papas was in a childrens show way back called Puffenstuff. But The Mamas and The Papas have another one of the classics With "Monday Monday". These guys are awesome.
