Who doesn't want some of my rod?

I liked the original show. But I stopped following it after Yugi's duel with Pegasus in the tournament. Never saw the Battle City series and beyond.

I remember being so obsessed with the game as a kid. I spent a lo of money on cards only to end up losing them. I ended up actually stumbling onto them while cleaning out my room last week. Nostalgia. Gotta love it.

A lot of the really old cards are worth a lot. If you have the original Blue Eyes it's worth 100 bucks or even more. Don't throw away the cards that you do have left.

I still play in local tournies here. I feel bad because I usually end up coming 1st or 2nd if someone actually has a good deck.I use my awesome CyberDark+Armed Dragon deck.So if i have armed dragon lvl 3 on the field and cyberdark(any of the three that are lvl 4)in my hand.Next turn i can special summon Armed Dragon lvl 5 and the cyberdark monster with 2000 atk.pretty nice combo

Speaking of combos, I have one which is like near impossible to pull off but it's in my "for fun" Toon World deck.

Toon Goblin Attack Force, equiped with Megamorph, Mage Power and 3 other random S/T cards. Only works when your LP are lower due to Megamorph (Which is great due to the 1000 LP effect from TW. 2300 x 2, 4600 plus 2500 from the 5 S/T cards is 7100 direct damage.

I'd never use my Toon World deck in serious tournaments though.

I'd prefer if they made an online game of it. Their was an online platform a friend and I played in where you could construct your own deck from every avaliable card and play each other. Twas awesome.

Pokemon just needs an MMO.

 Man, this was the shit back in the day. Spent hours and hours playing.
Annoyed the hell out of my parents too.
I've still got a spell caster deck, a zombie deck, and a toon deck gathering dust in the closet. I miss the days where you could walk down the street with it in your hand and not get laughed at. XD

Forgot about the Abridged series. That was funny. For those who dont know Yugioh the abridged series or YTAS is basically Yugioh but a funnier version.definately worth checking out.

@Xemnas yea I know. Its like telling people you still play pokemon when your 15.(i dont since i find it boring but i'm using that as a example)I remember getting over 1000 cards and creating stupid decks.

I honestly think the worst thing that happened to this besides the stupid cartoons nowadays are the amounts of competiveness(is that even a word??anyways)in this game. There are decks that are made for basically anything now its stupid.

Wow, I have not played Yu-Gi-Oh in years, when I was young, I used to thrive to be different, I had an Insect deck! Shit as shit, but I actually won a tournament with it once! My claim to fame!

In these days a good insect deck can rape people.

And if it was shit as shit?wouldnt it just be shit?or would it be a double shit?

I don't know where you've been but plant decks pretty much took over where insects left off. I haven't seen an insect deck used in years.

I liked the Abridged series a bit. Makes more sense for that "king of games" title.

I liked the "spin-off series" more since I grew up with it and found a few cards interesting and whatnot. I HATED the long gap during the Duelist Kingdom tournament when it took FOREVER for 'em to continue with the new episodes. "Why didn't Sugoroku's body decompose after a year of not having been saved!" I thought as a kid.

I hated how they changed the rules to real-life rules. Made more sense anyway. Battle City Tournament was the shit in my eyes!

I tried re-inventing that whole gimmick of a deck whatever (ya know, a monster separate acting as a leader or master or whatever -- that if destroyed costs you the duel), but it sucked since I was the only one doing so and had only so many cards I just bullshitted my way to victory. Ya know, when they were stuck in that cyberworld? Not the first time, though I liked the whole RPG-ish thing of the first time.

I LOVED the whole Orichalkos thing they came up with. Maybe just the music when it came up, but damn, that was pretty fuckin' darker than Pegasus stealing souls with the Eye! And it dealt with fuckin' Atlantis!...sorta.

I stopped watching halfway through the final match for that part of the "season" for some reason. Watched two episodes of the final season, and maybe even the ending, but I don't remember very well.

Never watched that Academy series. Seemed kinda lame and the basis of going to school for whaaaaaaaaaaaaat seemed just as lame.

I kinda find 5Ds okay, but I haven't been able to catch it anymore after only watching a few episodes a few years back and watching more a few months ago -- then for some stupid reason Cartoon Network took it off the morning timeslot and didn't get to watch it before heading to school. I don't like the whole motorcycle thing cuz there was one duel where I though "damn, just how big is that building where they're dueling?!" Even though Yusei's character was just as cheesy as the ones before, it was heartwarming how he talked to that one guy who was a double-team dueling specialist about his little fiasco.

kthnxbai (too bad this isn't in non-spam)

Plants,Insects whats the difference?thats basically the same as bug and poison in pokemon.

And Roach i know what you mean.I had a mean Guardian Deck based of Raphael's from the Orichalcos.I also liked how they had those dragon cards and they became human.
