This show was awesome. The way its gone now is shit with dueling on motorcycles and shit but the good old days were awesome. Past the original is shit.So that means GX and 5D's are shit.THe original was cool, because they actually had a meaning not like the new ones were they duel every episode just for a filler for lots of episodes. The cards out now are still cool.I remember going out to a tournament and raping with my CyberDark deck.

Wow lol, I remember getting a paper route when I was like 12-13 to get cards. I was literaly so taken over by this game that in about a year I had well over 1000 cards. We had a local shop that sold pokemon cards and other cards along with yu-gi-oh. They had pokemon legue card duals every other week. When this got big they changed it to yu-gi-oh card tournies.

I spent hundred's there lol, my mom didn't care. I ended up getting 2nd in a huge day tournie they had there with people all over the area. They had the tipical kids and then like the 25-30 year old's that spent butt loads on it. I owned lol, I wish I still had the frickin cirtificate they gave me lol. I ended up with like 3 books of good cards and rare and special cards then like 4 tipical dual card decks.

It was pretty cool, the one card I had got sold at a x-mas auction they had. It was an 1st edition japanese dark magician girl, I got 190 dollars out of it. Then when it started changing, it all went down hill and the dudes that ran it basically fucked it all up and went to a magic card heavy shop and then went outta buisness. I ended up selling all my cards to a kid for a DS and 150 bucks. That was cool but really I could have gotten more for it.

If my name isn't enough to show you I'm quite a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! then I don't know what is.

Yu-Gi-Oh! was definitely a big thing for me as a kid. The anime & card game were very much a big part of my week with it being one of my main pass times.

These days I prefer to simply read the manga, which I honestly feel is better than the anime.

5D's is OK. But that is... you know... If they air it. Yu Gi Oh was great but sometimes the characters were WAAAY too cheesy.

Original YuGiOh was definately better than GX and 5D's.

I went and saw the movie twice so I could get a couple different promo cards and I still have all my cards. I have spent literally hundreds. I once spent about $150 on the booster packs which rereleased all the previous rare cards from previous sets. For the game it was worth it, got some great cards, Mirror Force FTW.

I played it last night actually, while I still have my decks I don't play it very much but my younger brother always wants me to play with him still so I usually break the deck out every now and then.

I still play. I go to tournaments every Saturday at my local mall. Everyone uses all that new syncro bull shit and I stay faithful to the old school players and run an Exodia deck.

I wish they would have made the card game a spinoff series and kept the original premise of Yugi passing judgment by playing all sorts of traditional games. It was way better when he was trapping dudes in mazes of fire, forcing a guy to go crazy and play around in leaves, or playing deadly laser tag.

How does an Exodia run in today's competitions? I know back in the day it was deadly but I would think it wouldn't be so much now, although since you run it, how does it go?

I have two decks. I have a toon deck which is mainly for fun because I was always a mark for toons. It's pretty good although it wouldn't last in competitions. My main is a 'deck destruction' deck.

I used to play a Machine Deck. Was pretty good actually.

Speaking of toons, how can anyone not like this man:

This.
The whole heart of the cards stuff was complete shit plus the rules were changed often but i could deal with that.

There are a lot of newish cards that make it run a lot faster. I have a 40 card deck and I can draw all the cards in 15 turns or less.

Fuck Yu-Gi-Oh; Play Magic!

The thing I don't like about Magic is that you have to keep buying cards of you're fucked. With Yugioh I have a deck consisting of mostly cards from 5-10 years ago and I can still make the finals in tournaments.

That's what we call Extended, brotha. But I kid, I see you caught my comment before my last second change of heart. There can be peace between our peoples. Especially since, like, didn't they stop running YuGiOh tournaments in North America a while ago?

COME TO THE DARKSIDE!

Haha indeed I did. Actually Konami still host Official Yugioh Tournaments every 4 months in major cities. I've never been to one but last weekend my buddy went to a big one in Columbus and got 17th out of over 500 people. It's still a big card game you just gotta find out where to play.

I also have a deck that makes your opponent run out of cards. It's very fun to use because people get so pissed off when i make them draw 10 cards in one turn and they have to discard so much.

THIS GUY

Yugioh is a cheap ripoff of magic, which didn't have the charm of the first series of Pokemon Cards and really just deserves to perish in a barn fire *Angryface*

We know it's a cheap rip off. That was the original idea. But that cheap rip off caught a life of it's own. Now it has the Pokemon effect. The show just won't fucking die ALREADY!
