Your Favorite One-Liner

Everyone has at least one one-liner that they keep close in their heart, deep down hoping that they may efficiently use it someday. That one-liner that always stuck out to you, and just the thought of it either brings a laugh or sense of epicness. That one-liner that you anxiously await every time you see the movie. For me, it's this one, straight from the king of one-liners, Arnold Schwarzenneger.

I think we have differing opinions on what the term one liner means. When I think one liner, I think of a stand up comedian who uses one liner jokes. But I get what you mean. I can't post the clip, but in The Ringer there's a scene when one of the disabled guys shouts "When the fuck did we get ice cream?!" that always cracks me up. Not the best movie, as South Park did a better job in a 22 minute episode with Cartman doing the same shit as a B story. Also in Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay when Kumar says "Fuck You Donuts are awesome!"

I love the one liner from the grandpa in "The Sweetest Thing." The Peter and his brother keep talking to their Grandpa about getting married. the Grandpa talks bout some hot chick he hooked it up with back in 1940 something. Then Peter says "Ah..I bet you miss grandma." Then grandpa says "Ahh...fuck grandma" Then all through out the movie...at random times, certain people in Peter's family comment on the wedding, and the grandpa goes "Ahh...fuck grandma"

A movie that's filled with cheesy cool one liners has gotta be the cult classic "Army of Darkness"

Dan Marino should die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.

Never saw it coming. One of the funniest lines ever for three reasons - 1) who it was delivered by, 2) who it was about, and 3) how it was delivered. A 60-year old woman baking cookies stating that the #1 QB in football should die of a harsh STI? Brilliant work.

That's one of the all time great one-liners films of all time, by the way:

It's not so much of what he says, but that delivery by Tom Hanks is just absolutely tremendous. It's perhaps the greatest delivery of any line in the history of film. His voice, expression on his face, and the disgust of which he has for a young woman shedding some tears on a baseball field... it's just all hysterical, and it'll never, ever get old, no matter how many times I see the clip or hear the soundbite.

If you're going the Tom Hanks route, I love the quote in League of Their Own after he says the classic 'There's no crying in baseball...' then the ump talks him down and walks away, Tom goes "Did I ever tell you that you look like a penis with a little hat on?" and the look on the ump's face is priceless!!

As much as I LOVE "Ready to Rumble" there are SOOO many lines in there that I've heard people quote, especially my husband and his friends,
"I will rule you Diamond Dallas Page!"
"DDP, you know what the diamond symbol upside down is,a giant pu$$y!!"
"Sting!!Sting...hit me next!!"
and so on and more...
