Your Dream Wrestlemania stage

Best in the World!
Over the course of the past few decades, we've seen wrestling companies like WWE and WCW push the boundaries of creativity when it came to desigining and building entrance sets or entire arena stages for their PPVs or special events.
WCW was famous for its over the top creativity wih sets of Halloween Havoc and a few other events. WWE on the other hand, used to design unique sets for every single PPV but stopped it due to budget cuts. But they give it all they've got during WrestleMania season. Last year's WM set cost them a whopping 5 million and it was definitely worth every cent spent.

This made me think about what would be my DREAM WRESTLEMANIA SET? The first image that came to my mind was the one I'll describe below in detail.

My dream WrestleMania arena set:
First of all, this would be a landmark WrestleMania like WM40 or WM50. The arena would be the same one we had last year because of its extra long entrance way which looks super cool.
Now just like we had a large pyramid structure behind the entrance stage at WrestleMania 26, here we'll have a huge mountain type structure made with great precision, and carved on the mountain would be the faces of the absolute best in the long, rich history of WM. I'll choose only he ones who have influenced the company in a major way and have carried entire eras on their backs.
The faces featured would be:
Hogan
Flair
Hart
Michaels
Austin
Rock
Cena
Maybe throw in Trish too for women's representation
And one more guy who will be THE FACE OF THE COMPANY over the next few years.

Now this looks like a long list of faces compared to he original Mount Rushmore, but they can cover a wide area behind the entrance way so as to accommodate all the faces. The mountain would cost a good amount but I believe that they can do this.
Another addition could be something they did at WrestleMania 22. They could hang photos of around 30-40 most influential and legendary superstars since the beginning on the topmost portions of the arena just like they did with the then current superstars in the 2006 edition.
Couple that with the long entranceway and a tagline of something like "Remember the legends", this would be a visual treat for a wresting fan.
The Mount Rushmore structure behind the entranceway alone would be remembered further as one of the best set designs WWE ever did.

Do you have any over the top, creative and interesting set designs for a WrestleMania? Please let us know.

Personally, I think the coolest WM set is one that mimics the look of the old Coliseum of Rome. Because I feel WWE is the closest to modern day gladiators (much more ethical, mind you, at least they get paid and choose to do it).

So, basically, what they had at WrestleMania IX was close. But, a major issue, was a of course the limited seating capacity for such a big event.

I would love to see a recreation of the grand Rome coliseum but it would be pretty hard to do because there are some great US stadiums out there but they all have their own look and they do no look like the coliseum and there would probably have to be a lot of work go into it to make it look that way.

But hey, maybe it can work. Las Vegas is getting a brand new stadium soon and maybe they can fit the interior to look more coliseum-like for a WM event there. They can certainly make the stage look as much like a coliseum entrance as possible and do what they can to the ring and possibly the seating and LED screens to give it that old-style look.

Personally, that would be my favorite idea.

The Los Angeles Coliseum would be exactly what you're looking for. They were actually gonna have WM7 there before they moved it to the LA Sports Arena. The place is huge too, could easily hold 100,000+. As a guy who grew up in LA it kills me that Mania has never been here

Wow, that is it! Looks fantastic. Wouldn't need all that much more work to complete the effect and still make it a WrestleMania event.

Well, they should go there for WM. They did it in San Jose area. They can do it in LA. Who cares about the time difference? The main events will be all later in the show anyway and they could start the main show maybe an hour later just to help everything along a little better.

Now, I'm all for this place as a future WM host.
