Yoshihiro Tajiri Confirmed For Next NYC TNA Tapings

Former ECW and WWE star Yoshihiro Tajiri is rumored to coming to TNA for their next Television tapings in New York City. Tajiri has been working with Wrestle-1 since he shut down his promotion Wrestling New Classic. Many of his WNC contracted talents such as Akira, El Hijo De Pantera, Yusude Kodama and more have begun appearing at Wrestle-1 shows.

Would make a ton of sense in cross-over appeal, especially as the build to BFG begins/continues, with BFG in Tokyo this year.

The real question I have is how you bring him in — X Division? Some other feud? Sanada seems to be getting quite a bit of focus lately, so I'm not sure he'd fit there.

I was a HUGE mark for Tajiri back in ECW, and was super glad that WWE handled him rather well, given their history of NOT doing so with foreign talent. Would be cool to see him back on US TV, I'd check out TNA for it.

It does make sense. Tajiri's company is basically dead so he joined up with Mutoh (or Great Muta)

Tajiri will always have a home here. I'm not sure Sanada is the way to go. Mutoh already beat Sanada in Japan. Just let Tajiri kick the X-Division around. Plus, NYC loves Tajiri even more than the average wrestling fan.

I haven't seen Tajiri wrestle since his WWE days, but he'll add nostalgia to the division, hopefully he turns out to be a good signing.

Tajiri is a great add on the part of TNA. I think TNA latching onto the ECW contingent is smart. It gives them more history to tie themselves into. Tajiri can still work. Seeing him in the X-Division also would freshen things up even more. He's also capable of doing the backstage skits. He was funny as hell with Regal in WWE

Tajiri was a freaking beast. daniel bryans feet and legs have nothing on Tajiri. id love to see him back in a ring. id probably try to catch TNA as long as he didnt get stuck with stupid gimmick. Maybe an assasion type thing would be good, kinda like a hired gun but working for nobody but himself. maybe a mouth piece unless his english has gotten better. I love the BUZZsaw and the tarantula.

Definitely a good signing for TNA. Tajiri is still a really good worker and would fit in very well with the rest of the TNA roster. With the ex-ECW guys like Dreamer, Bully and Rhino getting a bit of focus at the moment, Tajiri being on the card will appeal to those fans, and with BFG being held in Japan this year, then having a Japanese talent or 2 on the card is a positive thing too.

Tajiri is always entertaining in the ring, casual fans will recognise him from his days in WWE and ECW and he can still go. No negatives to this signing for me. I look forward to seeing the Buzzsaw kick again in TNA! I've not seen iMPACT for a few weeks, but with Rhino and now Tajiri back I wil definitely tune in.

As someone who has not watched Impact Wrestling in over a year I would think that signing Tajiri to a joint contract like Sanada is nothing but great news. TNA has been given a lot of crap this year and they need something like this as a boost. Tajiri could boost the X Division of TNA. Tajiri could feud with other big names of the company. He can be very versatile. If he really is going to be at the tapings that lead up to BFG will be great. As a (former) fan of the TNA product I think the immediate future of the company looks to be very positive.
