Multi time champion... award winning television host... ratings extrodinare... spotlight enthusiast? These and about a pocket sized Websters dictionary full of other title's could best describe the new WZCW World Heavyweight Champion Showtime David Cougar. From the big screen to the cover of your TV guide and just about everything in-between in the world of entertainment, Showtime has been everywhere and done just about everything there is to do in this industry. In a WZCW magazine exclusive, we sit down with the wrestling and TV star and get some insight into what he's accomplished in the buisness, what advice he has for the next generations of stars he helped path the way for, and what the future holds for the biggest star in WZCW.

----------------------------------------------------

Leon Kensworth: Hello Showtime. Thank you for making time in your busy schedule for this interview.

Showtime Cougar: My pleasure Leon. Of course you're taking me a little out of my usual median of communicating through video media and into print. Never do you see or hear about me in print.

LK: You do realize that most forms of televised media is usually described and posted on the web.

SC: Ha... isn't that rich. You mean there are people out there that only read about me?

LK: There are probably some people out there. They may even be reading this magazine right now.

SC: Oh yeah, well to the fans out there reading about me right now, get a T.V. Or better yet buy a ticket to the next live event. I look far better in person than words can describe me.

LK: Showtime, if I may cut in with a question to get the ball rolling in this interview: you have just won every single title in WZCW. Of all your title wins, which is the most memorable to you?

SC: Leon you are a funny guy if this is dead serious your first question. Without question winning the WZCW World Heavyweight Title I have right here was the more memorable, the toughest, the greatest, the most significant title win of my career. Not to discredit all my other title wins, each very memorable in their own rights. This is the most presitigus title in WZCW and winning it solidifies my name up there with the greats, Everest, Titus, Ty Burna. Showtime in now the best in WZCW and I plan to be the best for a long time.

LK: Steven Kurtesy had a very successful run as champion before being defeated by you at Ascension 50. What are your thoughts on your opponent and is a return match in the books for the future?

SC: Leon, Steven Kurteys showed the world that he belonged at the top of WZCW when he defeated Ty Burna at Kingdom Come. Not too many people can say they defeated Ty Burna, so to not only do that, but successfully defend the WZCW Title on top of that, you gotta have respect for someone like that and Kurtesy has earned that respect from me. I haven’t spoken to Kurtesy since our match at Ascension 50. He’s got something of a rematch in the 6 pac challenge at Redemption verse myself, Barbosa, and three others, but if Kurtesy wants to step into the circle again one on one after I walk out as champion I’ll be more than happy to give the professor a few more minutes in the spotlight.

LK: It’s been a long road for you to get to this title. Your history in WZCW is well documented, but the story of Showtime begins in a small city in Canada called Winnipeg, and quickly picks up after a move to Hollywood, California with your father. How do you think your time there has affected who you today?

SC: Well I think the most important thing it taught me act and behave in front of a camera. You can hardly go anywhere in Hollywood without there being a camera in front of you or a mic in your face. That’s why I have such confidence when I step into that ring or talk to the millions watching at home. In that ring, on that stage, I am in character and I understand the role that I am in and I play it well. Not every experience I had in Hollywood was beneficial though. My father was difficult man to deal with and some of his poorer attributes were passed on down to me. He was very good at making quick friends, but the second he could get something out of them, he’d take it and screw them over. I guess that kind of rubbed off on me a little.

LK: You’ve butt heads with many WZCW wrestlers in the past and have been in some of the most memorable feuds in WZCW history. The battles that you and the current WZCW owner Ty Burna have had are legendary. Aside from that feud though, what stands out as the next biggest feud in your career?

SC: Well Leon like you said, I’ve been in countless battles and have fought many different wrestlers. There’s a lot of great matches and feuds to pick from. The best of three series I had with Vengeance for the EurAsian Title. The middle card title matches I had with Drake in 2009 were the start of something back then and it looks like it may be picking up steam again. Hell I recall having some physical matches with a man they called Karnage. Two feuds that do stand out though. Big Dave. Huge match we had at Kingdom Come a few years back and then a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match the following PPV. Yeah I beat him at Lethal Lottery later in the year, but I always feel like I never got the best of him in the ring. I would love to add one more match to that rivalry, but who knows if that’ll ever happen again. And the other, Austin Reynolds who else. He and I lit up the mic’s for weeks with our promos. Solid work and our Iron Man match was one of the best matches of the year. Another wrestler I’d like to step into the ring one more time before it’s all said and done.

LK: And before it is lights out for The Show who are some opponents you’d like to get into the ring with a feud against?

SC: One name I do want to face one on one is Barbosa. The guy has been an absolute beast since his arrival and thus presents an ultimate challenge. One I would relish facing. Steven Holmes likewise has been an absolute terror of late in WZCW and has World Championship material written all over him. Seriously, next time look at his ring gear. It says it on them. (Snickers) Serious though, the man has great mat skills. Rush, Sam Smith, Triple X, Ace Stevens, all these guys terrific wrestlers, terrific on the mic, you know if I had to pick my list of challengers that I would successfully defend against, these are among the wrestlers I would welcome into my spotlight.

LK: You have been with WZCW for three years now and have won about every single title or major accomplishment attainable here. In a few days you are about to defend the WZCW Title in a 6 Pac Challenger against Steven Kurtesy, Barbosa, and 3 opponents not yet determined. What left is there for Showtime David Cougar and how much longer will the spotlight be shining on WZCW?

SC: The spotlight will always be shining on WZCW. Make no mistake Leon, when I retire the work that I have done and put into WZCW will leave the spotlight shining on it for years and years to follow that will be carried by the future in this business. As for when the boots will hang up and champagne corks will pop, there is still so much left that I would like to accomplish. Obviously holding onto this belt a little longer is one of them. I don’t have unrealistic dreams that I will break the reign of Ty Burna, but I do plan on successfully defending this belt more than just once. As stated, there are still many wrestlers that I would still like to face in the ring and I feel that I can still perform at the highest level needed.

LK: Your former associate John Constantine recently won the King for a Day contract. Any fear that he may cash it in at Redemption?

SC: John and I travelled lots together back in the day. I'm proud of John for finally breaking through and winning a big match. It's been a long time coming for him. I know he'll use it at the most opportune time and I just hope that I will be ready. I don't have time to worry about when it happens because then I'll propably end up losing it before he cashes in. I just have to stay focus and prepare for each match like I'll have another one right after.

LK: Any strategy or predictions you wish to share regarding you match at Redemption?

SC: Strategy, there isn't much strategizing you can do when you only know half the opponents that you are facing. I know one will be Steven Kurtesy. He was a tough opponent and I know coming off the heels of our match and a loss to his arch rival Steven Holmes, Kurtesy will be looking to step his game up a little more. And Barbosa is one dangerous customer, and may have realized his full potential after defeating Ty Burna. The fact is though, I have beaten Kurtesy and I have kept Barbosa off his game for months. And the other three challnegers, they will all have competed prior to the match, and therefore be exhausted. I'll be the freshest and sharpest one out there, and that should propel me to victory.

LK: Thank you for taking the time to sit down and do this Showtime.

SC: Thank you for having me Leon.

Oh hello everyone once again to another edition of the Insider's Report with the most beautiful male on the planet, the "Smart" Mark, Mr. Lemming. It's good to be back from my vacation that I recently took. I mean, with Ty Burna in charge and the entire company being in a complete state of Chaos, I gathered up all my leave I had and took a nice long break. With only a few days to go for the PPV where Ty could potentially lose everything, I think I certainly did well in coming back at this time... although as soon as I landed off the plane, one of his cronies decided to escort me to a video shoot where Steven Kurtesy, Sandy Deserts and I did a commercial for the magazine and now I'm at home typing this up.

Anyway, on with the program: As predicted, WZCW plunging into Chaos from Ty gaining control of the entire company, causing... well, Chaos for everyone to the point where not even employee contracts were safe. We've had a multitude of situations that have occurred recently that some people may be confused or pondering about. This is where I come in.

The Firing of Big Dave

This one was pretty big news as Ty worked his magic on the fly: Big Dave had been battling Steven Holmes in a feud that worked through to Kingdom Come where Dave won the blow-off match. During that time, however, Dave succumbed to an awful beat-down that caused Dave's face to be mangled. It was pretty horrific to see that happen but considering Ty had half-ownership of the company, I can't say I'm surprised that this was allowed. Dave took on a mask and everything was well until he wrestled Titus a few weeks later and his mask wasn't secured properly, accidentally being ripped off by the legend. What Ty did next was completely out of line as he suspended Dave, forcing him to achieve menial tasks like commentary and refereeing matches so he could still earn a pay-check. This followed by Dave being fired from Ty because he did not meet the standards set. Despite that this is a huge legal and health/safety issue that should require a full investigation over Ty's business ethics, the situation on the surface was handled wasn't supposed to be handled this way. I know for a fact that Dave requested to have time off to heal his wounds but he was denied that on several occasions by Ty, forcing him to still compete knowing full well that Dave's mask was not technically one designed for wrestling. So in essence, Dave getting fired may not be a bad thing after all: he is getting the time off he needs to recover and should Ty lose everything, I'm sure WZCW will then open the doors for a Big Dave return. Speaking of which:

Where Are They Now?

Vance Bateman:
When Ty won, Bateman lost his job and he hasn't been seen for a long while. That's because the former General Manager of Ascension has been on an extended vacation, visiting all the countries and places he's yet to go to... with all expenses paid by WZCW. When Team WZCW lost, Vance immediately used the time he had left to pull some strings to make sure he received all the benefits he gained since starting in WZCW and disappeared from sight. It's not that Vance doesn't care about WZCW, its just that he has the time off to explore the world so he took it. If I remember correctly, his vacation finished a week ago so he'd probably be spending quality time with the family. I expect him to return for Redemption as a fan.

Chuck Myles:
For a few weeks prior to Kingdom Come, Myles was under the authority of Ty Burna as his personal lackey for the business aspects of WZCW and eventually became interim GM of Aftershock. When the full rights went straight to Ty, Aftershock wasn't used for a while thus rendering Myles useless by Ty and he removed him from the company. I haven't spoken to Chuck since he got made "redundant" so I would assume that he has also taken this time to relax as he intended when he first sold Meltdown. If I see him around, I'll let you guys know on my Twitter account.

Everest:
Now here is an interesting one: Everest has not left the company at all. Let me quickly explain something - one of the positive things to come out of Ty being head of the company was that he installed a scanner where all personnel had to swipe their personal cards, logging them into the building that WZCW was currently hosting a show at so Ty could keep records and change the cards on the fly. Everest has not missed a show since the new systems were installed, including the most recent episodes of MD, AS & AF. However, whenever someone tried to look for him, he was never found and nobody could ever get into contact with him. Somehow, Everest has been sneaking past security and then disappears like a ghost. I don't know where he is but I have a theory.

Eurasian Championship Controversy

We all know what happened here: Black Dragon was signed to the company as an "under-the-table" negotiation done by former boss Vance Bateman. When Ty took control, Black Dragon technically no longer worked for the company and was not obligated to compete. It took Ty a while to realise this and he then sought after getting the one thing that he cared about the Dragon: the Eurasian title. Somehow, Ty found it and brought it back to the company where Rush is now considered the champion, even though Black Dragon has the belt and never lost it. So for those that like to keep record, both men can be called the champion but that's a debate for another day. Ty refuses to resign Black Dragon and the only way that Dragon may have a chance of competing once more is if he defeats Rush at Redemption by showing up for the Open Challenge, despite Dragon isn't legally allowed to compete in that match. I'm not sure if Dragon will show up because he could be walking into a trap but with Ty no longer having support with the Apostles, Rush may find himself actually competing.

The one thing that has confused many people was that how did Black Dragon enter the building? I can tell you that ever since Ty took the belt, the security increased dramatically and anyone trying to enter without a swipe card would have a difficult time. All the fans were checked to make sure he couldn't access the building as a fan as well... so how did he get in? As I was speaking early, I had a theory on the ghost Everest: Black Dragon could have acquired the card from Everest and accessed the building that way, explaining how Dragon entered the building so easily and why Everest was never seen despite him logging in all the time. I don't know if that's true but that's my theory.

------------------------------------------------------------

All Stars 2

As you may have saw from the ending of Aftershock, the All Stars 2 event has been confirmed to take place after Redemption where any superstar around the world is allowed to compete on a one night only basis... some may even get signed to WZCW contract should they impress. The event has been scheduled to occur on the 12 of August (where wrestlers who are wishing to compete will have to submit their RP's by the 8th). At this time, we only have one application which has been accepted and that is a current WZCW employee. Who it is, we won't tell until their application goes public around with the rest of the applications.

For those of you will to apply, please head to the backstage area and you will see where to apply. There are a few restrictions though:

Restrictions:

One character per person
  • If you wish, you can choose to apply as a tag team having control of both characters
  • On the last day of sign-ups, pending on the amount of people joining, you may post a second character.
  • If you would like to post a second character, leave a quoted comment at the bottom of your app asking for the request. First come, first serve.

You can use anyone
  • You can use your current fed character
  • If you wish to use a fed character that is not yours, you can ask permission from the user.
  • If it's a NPC character, you must ask my (specific) permission.
  • Do not use characters that the WWE, TNA, etc. already have (i.e. no John Cena's, AJ Styles)

Apart from these, everyone is free to go completely nuts with their characters. For good measure, I'll post a link below for the thread:

If you would like to be help out in a bigger capacity, please contact FalKon via PM about becoming a one night creative member. It's not a first come, first serve basis as I will be picking those who I feel I am confident in to do the job so don't feel rejected if you don't get a response back from me.

1: "Showtime" Cougar - World Heavyweight Champion (1)
Dolph-ziggler-2.jpg

Show continues to keep the top spot as with his victory over the WZCW Owner Ty Burna where he defended his World Championship, even if the referee was a little biased during the match.

2: John Constantine - King For a Day (2)
Triple-H-Smiling-in-Coat-Pent.jpg

Constantine keeps his streak going and his spot strong with his victory in tag team competition this week, taking down former rival Sam Smith and Mick Overlast. He'll need all the momentum he can get when facing Steven Holmes at Redemption.

3: Triple X - Elite X Champion (3)
kb3qq8.png

Can this guy be stopped? Triple X has been racking up win after win with this week being no exception as he wins his tag match alongside Constantine. He rounds up the top 3 men that retain their spots for the week.

4: Alex Bowen (NEW)
50.jpg

With the Apostles dispersing, Alex Bowen is now featured on the lists as an individual not as a group. However, he still retains a solid spot on the list with his victory against Brad Bomb, as well as his current winning streak that kept the Apostles afloat originally on the list.

5: Matt Tastic (5)
2896400672_2bf93c94ec.jpg

Tastic recovered this week as the former 4-time Mayhem champion took down the original Mayhem competitor and living legend Steamboat Ricky in singles competition.

6: Steven Holmes (7)
23356.jpg

A big victory for Holmes this week as he takes down former World champion and ally Steven Kurtesy in singles competition. He is primed and ready to take on Constantine in his Falls Count Anywhere match.

7: Drake Callahan (6)
aries.jpg

Despite Callahan defeated his opponent, the Masked Gentleman, this week in singles competition, Callahan drops one spot on the list due to Holmes' victory over Kurtesy pushing Holmes past Callahan. Watch out for another conspiracy theory to be in the works.

8: Ace Stevens - Mayhem Champion (9)
220px-DominoWWE@Commons.jpg

The Mayhem champion successfully defended his title this week against Relay winner Derek Jacobs and because of it, continues moving up the ladder.

9: Steven Kurtesy (8)
83d61_kurtangle300.jpg

After suffering another loss this week to Steven Holmes, the professor drops one more spot this week. Should Kurtesy lose once more, he could suffer a huge drop in the list.

10: Strikeforce - World Tag Team Champions (11)
The champs gain one spot this week with Mikey Stormrage picking up the victory over Saboteur, despite the controversial fashion.

11: Saboteur/Saxton (10)
The challengers drop one spot this week due to being unable to secure a proper pinfall victory against either one of the tag champs this week although both men look strong heading into the PPV.

12: Barbosa (12)
Another spot retainer comes in the form of Barbosa whose match this week involved him on the winning and losing side simultaneously, no matter what the outcome.

13: Titus (NEW)
The legend cracks the F-15 lists this week as he secured a victory over Austin Reynolds in singles competition, as well as netting him a shot at the World title once more.

14: Celeste Crimson (NEW)
The Russian submission Queen sees the light of the lists again as she won her tag team match against the Apostles this week, gaining some momentum heading into the PPV.

15: Chris K.O. (NEW)
The White Knight of WZCW gains the final spot of the lists this week due to the break-up of the Apostles and winning the match against his former brothers, knocking Ty off the list just as he did moments before Ascension went off the air.

One of the most unprecedented achievements in WZCW history was finally completed on Ascension 50 when "Showtime" Cougar finally won the World Heavyweight Championship, gaining the one title that he has never held and it got me thinking: that was a long time for Show to capture the title since his arrival; I wonder how many other superstars there are on the roster right now that have been around for a long time (or have been around for a while) and did not get the opportunity to hold the title? It didn't take long for me to get a list down of the greatest competitors we've had and compare with the WZCW title history, easily allowing me to find a top 5 list... which, oddly enough, is in reverse alphabetical order as we count down from 5 to 1.

The 5 Greatest Competitors to Never Hold a World Championship:

Disclaimer: each column that I will be producing for this magazine has undergone extensive review and research to make a plausible and fair conclusion, mixed with my own experiences watching as a fan. If you have any queries or opinions, you can send them to me and I will be sure to get back to you during the next issue detailing how incorrect you are.

5. Gordito

tazz1.jpg

A blast from the past: we're going to have a few more of these.

The infamous Dirty One could be considered one of the fastest rising superstars that WZCW has ever seen, starting off at the bottom ranks as a curtain jerker and blazing through the Mayhem division to find himself getting a World Championship opportunity. Although he did not win any titles in the process, his hard-work in the ring and overall toughness got him noticed by many, especially when he took down multiple main event names such as Constantine and Phoenix in the Gold Rush tournament to earn a shot at the then-immortal Ty Burna who had only begun his title reing. Despite the first loss, he got the attention of the Master of Chaos and offered to be a mentor of sorts and was riding a high at that point of his career. He then found himself in another title match against Ty but with Barbosa in the mix, a rival to both men. Gordito would remain in the main-event scene for quite some time before slowly working his way down the ranks and taking time off away from the company.

Gordito did come back for a second run with the company and although he was featured in many high-profile feuds such as the Apostles vs. WZCW war, Gordito was unable to reach that peak in his career and thus never got the World title. A solid effort by the dirty one.

4. Celeste Crimson

400px-Celeste_Bonin_display_image.jpg

Celeste comes as an interesting piece of work when it comes to this subject: Crimson was apart of the very first roster when WZCW launched in 2007 and is still a member of the roster from this very day, competing at a very high level in the company... although half of that time for Celeste was spent away from the company, coming back at different points in time. However, throughout her entire time in WZCW, Celeste Crimson's first championship opportunity came when she was a contender against Black Dragon's Eurasian Championship at the 4th Lethal Lottery event. For an excellent competitor like Celeste to be around this long and only getting her very first title match 4 or 5 years later seems like something was amiss... but since this is a list about World title opportunities, let's get back on subject.

The only times that Celeste has ever had the opportunity of attempting to fight for the World title was during the numerous Lethal Lottery events she competed in where one of those times was due to Crimson coming in as a surprise attraction (during a time where she was inactive). With all of this behind her, Celeste now has a proper chance at finding her way into the World Championship match at Redemption as she sets to face off against S.H.I.T... so Celeste could potentially be taken off the lists quite quickly.

3. Carmen Bratchny

tito_ortiz000x0400x4171.jpe

For those of you who are going to blast me for putting this man in here, let me clarify one thing: the World championship that Carmen won was not an officially recognised championship by WZCW or the wrestling world. The title he won was a creation that Steamboat Ricky brought in and was considered a fake title, despite their match at Kingdom Come II recognising it as an actual title defense. If it's not on the records, it doesn't exist... although they had one hell of a contest that night.

Other than this minor detail, Carmen had been fighting at a grade A level for quite some time, especially in the latter half of his career where he made his most notable stand during the 2nd Lethal Lottery event, lasting the longest time that anyone had ever seen: a record that was not beaten until the 4th Lethal Lottery (which was due to the 10 man number increase, resulting in the match becoming longer and therefore possible times lasting longer). He survived from almost the start of the match right until near the end, putting up a fight of his life. If Carmen stuck around a while longer and continued to work and train, he would have undoubtedly become a World Champion.

2. Blade

Bret+Hart-05.jpg

One of the more controversial and "love to hate, hate to love" superstars of WZCW makes his way at number 2 for this list.

When Blade stepped foot into that squared circle, you know you were going to be up for a wrestling match. This guy had it all: the technical prowess, an expert in submissions and a high intelligence in the psychological department, doing everything he can to stay one step in front of the opponent no matter what the cost... he even had the cocky attitude and self-nursing ego to go with it. The one thing that separated Blade from the rest of the pack was that he backed up his words with results. We're talking about a man who was able to beat the best in the business when most people who were ranked above Blade couldn't defeat those who were at the top of their game. He beat World champions, former and current, in non-title contest yet every time he had the opportunity to grab the brass ring, Blade jumped a few inches short.

He managed to win the Eurasian championship and as most of the former champions have done, he held onto that title for a very long time and defended it against the best the company had to put forward. He even coordinated his own band of misfits and put on some of the best feuds you'll ever see in a WZCW ring. Blade has truly been a successful wrestler and will one day become a legend but unfortunately, he has yet to call himself a former World champion.

1. Austin Reynolds

aj-styles-07.png

Lucky... or unlucky... number one on the list is the Ratings Winner and one of the best and arrogant competitors around, Austin Reynolds.

Reynolds has been around for as long as men like Blade, instantly getting himself recognised in the company as one of those men to watch out for. Reynolds was very cocky to start out with and annoyed many fans with his unforgiving attitude. As he rose within the ranks, he proved to the fans that he was the real deal and soon became an Elite X champion... and a long-reigning champion at that. Along with this title reign, Austin has achieved much success in the rivalry department having 5 star classics alongside Showtime, Constantine and Ty Burna... even having Ty openly admitting that Reynolds was his hardest foe through his journey as the World Champion. Reynolds has had multiple opportunities at the title and got a couple of matches in return, putting on excellent performances but was never able to win the big one. Reynolds recently took a break from singles competition and began competing as a tag team, forming one of the best tag teams in recent memory and being one of the first teams to defend the title on more than one occasion and tying for 1st as longest reigning tag team champion.

Despite Reynolds may have his quarrels with former partner Ricky Runn, he is a competitor that will truly always be main event quality and sometime down the line, Reynolds will have his day in the spotlight and become a World champion.

---------------------------------------------------

That's my article for this week and honestly, there are a lot of honourable mentions that I could have saluted to... such as Doug Crashin. I'm kidding of course but I can let you know that Doug Crashin will be one of the top 5 wrestlers in my next list and I think you guys know what I'm talking about... catch you next time.

Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another special interview for WZCW Magazine. This is Becky Serra interviewing the ever-entertaining Matt Tastic.

Becky: Hello Matt and thank you for coming.

Matt: The pleasure is all mine, Becks.

Becky: So at this point you can be considered one of the long-standing veterans in WZCW. You're going into your 3rd Redemption PPV. Did you expect to be where you are now over 2 years ago?

Matt: I'll be honest. I expected to be close by. Maybe not in the World title picture like I am, but still high on the card. I can gladly say, I surpassed my expectations on that regard.

Becky: And how do you stay in shape? I noticed that over the last few weeks you've gained more weight, are more toned and even let your hair grow out.

Matt: If there's one characteristic that sticks out the most about me in the 2 plus years I've been here, it's how I constantly change. From a full body suit to trunks and a mask, to no mask and now. I pride myself on constantly changing my image whenever I start to decline and that's probably why the moniker of "The Super Saiyan of Pro Wrestling" came around. New levels, new depths and so on.

Becky:
Glad to hear it. What are your thoughts on the current state of the company? Ty Burna in charge, Big Dave and Everest are gone. Do you think the company is in any trouble?

Matt: I'm going to answer that with a big blunt no. There's the old "inmates running the asylum" saying somewhere in here, but quite frankly the numbers can show that Ty Burna has done good for this company. On the outside he seems like a lunatic, but he does indeed have that businessman mentality underneath it all. It is sad to see Everest and Big Dave go but that's a cycle that pro wrestling always goes through. When I started, Corey Payne, Vengeance, Titus, Steamboat Ricky and Carmen Bratchy and many more left. Them doing so allowed Ty, Showtime, Blade, myself and others to go up on the cards. Now guys like S.H.I.T. and James King are getting that chance along with Constantine, Holmes and others . It shows there's always progress even when it seems we are losing.

Becky: OK. And from a fan perspective, who do you respect the most in this company?

Matt: Respect? I've grown to respect lots of guys in the time I've been here. Though to be honest, I've always been a mark for The Cougarman, Showtime. He's always a blast to watch, no matter the role. I'm always entertained by what he does.

Becky: Would you like a future one on one feud with him?

Matt: It's funny. I've been here for a good while, but I haven't really feuded with many people. Titus, Gordito and The Crashin Movement are probably the most that stand out. But yeah, I've love a chance to work with Showtime. Everest was another guy I was interested in working with, but I guess that's on hold. Celeste and of course Ty Burna himself are also names I'd love to work with. I don't know, after Sunday those chances might increase.

Becky: Is there anyone in the company you see has something special? And what match are you looking forward to the most?

Matt: Derek Jacobs has caught my eye. That guy has the looks and the work ethic. I hope he continues to grow and even become Mayhem Champion. As for what match I'm looking forward to, the Stairway to Mayhem. It bugs me that those two keep yapping about being "King" of Mayhem. Funny, I've beaten both guys, hold the record for the most reigns at four and was at one point the longest reigning champion. They're competing to be #2. But it's still a very unique concept and I look forward to the match itself.

Becky: Out of WZCW and in to the average day now, what do you do in your time off?

Matt: A standard of mine is to go out walking every day. So it's kinda natural to spot me just loitering when WZCW is in town. When I'm home I do the same. Walk to the store, walk to the bank, walk... Well everywhere. Now is when I started an actual workout besides my standard in-ring practice. It's mostly deadlifts with dumbells to keep myself in shape. Add constant meat for proteins and voila, I'm all ripped.

Becky: The results definably show. One final question though. What's your status with Alisha?

Matt: Wow. I've known Alisha since we were kids. We started dating some time after I started here. To this point, she's awesome and always there to support me. Though a ring and wedding bells might be off for a good while. Even she says my main focus is here in The 'Z. But some day I'll be ready to settle down. For now, I'd say a potential World title win seems a tad more important. And our relationship still needs development.

Becky: Wow. I'm glad to hear you have those priorities in check. Thank you for your time, Matt. And good luck at Redemption.

Matt: Nah, thank you.

Rep the other guys for their work.

This magazine would have been longer but I don't have the time to add all the information that I wanted to include... life has been hectic recently.
