I was going to be in the tournament no matter what, so perhaps I have no say. I can see the point of champions being in, and a part if is disappointed that taking part in this tournament means I may not get all the best the fed has to offer.
Having said that, it really seems a compliment from creative that they feel they can do this, and build just as compelling a tournament as ever. Even with people I would have loved to face out, I can still see plenty of matches that can give me fits. I think because all the mid card was tied in TSA/Strikeforce, we forgot how good James Howard and GM can be on their own, and haven't recognized how good David Whitman and DC are.

I don't think returning characters necessarily need a sample RP. I returned with a new gimmick and didn't need one.
Then again, I got away with not needing a new app at all.
But you still need an app.

I have an idea that I would love to see. I was going to offer it up to Falks but figure he can pilfer and maybe we get discussion on it.
The three mid card champs enter the tournament and all their matches are for the championship. Alternatively, their matches are for a shot at them, so if they get knocked out and their opponent doesnt get to the final then we have opponents for the PPV.
To be honest I assume there's a much better reason for it though.
