Rear Naked Bloke
The teams willing to fuck and kill their grandparents to get into the tournament are:

1. Doug Somers & Buddy Rose
2. World's Greatest Tag Team - Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin
3. Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty
4. APA - Bradshaw and Farooq
5. The - I shit you not - Holy Demon Army - Toshiaki K-Ka-Kawada & Akira Taue

WGTT and APA take this, the battle royal of alphabet soup. Here you have two of the three main styles of wrestling represented here: power and technical skill (the third is speed if you were curious). These teams either worked well together or fought well together. You have two technical guys and two former world champions. How do you go wrong?

At least the Bashams weren't 400lb men that got over because they wore a thong and danced. I hate comedy gimmicks and this is no exception.

APA. They were a great tag team in their day. They were just unlucky their tag team days overlapped with Hardy's, Dudley's and E+C.

Ignorance of Japan is no excuse to deny the greatness of the Holy Demon Army. More AJPW Unified World Tag Team Championships than any other team, and the record individual reign held by Toshiaki Kawada. Some of the greatest matches of all time, with nine (count 'em - nine) 5 star matches as a tag team, greatest among them a series of perhaps the greatest tag team encounters in history, the Holy Demon Army vs Mitsuhara Misawa and Kenta Kobashi. Add bouts with the Miracle Violence Connection of Terry Gordy and Steve Williams, matches with Stan Hansen and Giant Baba, matches against Jun Akiyama partnered with Misawa and Kobashi. They have produced some of Japan's and the world's greatest tag bouts, not to mention both men being outstanding singles wrestlers and Triple Crown Champions themselves, with one on Akira Taue's part and, oh yeah, tied for the record five for Toshiaki Kawada, who also holds the second longest reign in the Triple Crown Championship.

The rest of this battle royale is midcarders and shit. The Holy Demon Army puts everyone else here to shame, and voting against them is a travesty of justice in the highest order.

How in the world is a shit team like APA that stood in the shadow of all the other great teams of their day beating possibly the greatest tag team in history?

I would have voted for Rikishi and Scotty if APA weren't on the list. But I loved the APA and I was sad when I saw them lose on Smackdown and Heyman fired Farooq. And I marked out like a little girl when they returned for one night only on the Raw before the tribute to the troops (I think it was last year) so I vote them.
