WWE reportedly interested in The Briscoe's

According to a report on the main page the WWE are interesting in signing Ring Of Honor duo The Briscoe's.

Jay Briscoe is the current ROH World Heavyweight Champion.

How do you all feel about this if true? I'm of the opinion that it'll be a great move for both parties. The WWE is in need of some fresh new tag teams. The Briscoe's would bring a chaotic style that is currently lacking.

Also in a another report the WWE are looking to negotiate with several ROH talents once their contracts expire later this year. The feeling is that some current NXT stars will move up to them win roster to make room for these talents.

Along with the Briscoe's who else would you want to see signed? Personally the current ROH stars, this is purely my own two cents, that are on the radar are Adam Cole, The Young Bucks, ACH and Moose. The surprising pick out of those is Moose but he has a lot going for him. He has good size and athleticism despite being inexperienced.

I thought there were concerns about concussions? I don't care for what happened on twitter with the homophobic remarks but all that aside they'd be great for the WWE Tag Division. Would love to see it happen.

I think WWE needs to start funding RoH and supplying them with talents from time to time to help promote their shows, because I think its bullshit on WWE's part that they love to act like their the only game in town, and how they create stars, but virtually everything good they have going for them at the moment came through RoH. That said, I'd be happy to see them in WWE.

I think that would be awesome and immediate thoughts are new members of the Wyatts. But, are they too volatile for the WWE and if they are toned down considerably doesn't it comprimise what is so great about dem boys? From a fan perspective and someone who has watched them in ROH since the doors opened I love the idea. The "Man Up" shirts would fly off the shelves but again the problem would be; would they let the Briscoes be The Briscoes?

a briscoes vs enzo and big cass feud is a license to print money, at least on the mic. I'd pay good money to listen to Cass and Enzo clown Mark Briscoe. Of course they'd have to change their names.

This is exactly what I thought when I first heard the rumor - they would be pretty awesome with Bray!

There is just one BIG problem with the Briscoes coming to WWE, if it ever happens - the very stuff that makes them the Briscoes is what the WWE will want to change about them.

If you take them and then take away the rebel flags, controversial promos but instead they are scripted, & hardcore matches what is left?! That is the very essence of what makes the Briscoes the Briscoes - they are the ANTI-Pg Era!!

If WWE would allow them to come and be themselves instead of changing everything about them then it could be great for both sides - if they won't let that happen then they just need to leave each other alone! That is why Daniel Bryan is such a success - he isn't the little clean shaven cookie cutter guy they tried to mold him into Be, he has gotten back to a lot of what made Bryan Danielson so popular! Learn to let guys be unique or just leave them alone!

The Briscoes are a great team in ring of honor, but I worry their current personas couldn't be used in WWE. If they can't use their current personas then they may not offer entertainment of the same quality.
Tough question because of that. They are attitude era wrestlers stuck in a PG era, my guess is if they sign they'll be made into bland redneck tough guys and they'll have a mediocre run with a couple title runs.
Only smarks will know them when they arrive and a pg gimmick won't get them over as well as their hardcore has. I'd like to see them their but I wouldn't expect great success.

They would never be allowed to use their style and gimmick in the WWE, they would have to be dumbed down and that kills why people like them. It might work on NXT but not the main roster. If they're all about the money then they'll go but I thought they enjoyed the easy schedule and working near home. Vince will just change them from a hardcore team to a goofy team like he did with the Sheepherders. I prefer them to stay in ROH and keep away from the trainwreck called the WWE but that's their decision.

I think they would do well in WWE. They are already over the top personalities, which WWE could use. The would have to watch their language and not bleed, but I think they've gotten used to this to an extant with Sinclair. Aside from that and some moves that would be banned, there's nothing in their style that would be a problem.

As for other wrestlers, there are a lot that would do very well in WWE, but my top choice is Adam Cole. I have said this for a couple of years now, but if WWE signs him and uses him to his fullest potential, and if he can avoid any career ending injuries, Cole is a future WWE World champ. there's not a doubt in my mind that he's talented enough, both in the ring and on the mic. He also has a great look. I can't wait until he's signed. Thoguh until then, I'm just anticipating his ROH return. I hope he's back in time for the NJPW shows.

I think if anyone's interested, it's primarily Triple H and his guys in NXT rather than Vince McMahon and his on the main roster. Several years back, when Big Johnny had Triple H's current position, The Briscoes had a try out and, if I'm not mistaken, they weren't hired because they didn't project the sort of image WWE wanted. In essence, Vince didn't like their look and neither did Big Johnny.

Based on what I've read over the past few years, Triple H is someone listens to the opinions of other people around him n terms of finding wrestling talent. He doesn't believe he knows more or always knows better than everyone else and doesn't surround himself with parroting yes men as we've see Vince do with guys like Big Johnny. In my opinion, because Triple H has surrounded himself with wrestling guys rather than corporate suck up because Triple H himself doesn't consider wrestling to be some sort of dirty word, he looks for other qualities more important in the eyes of fans than how pretty a wrestler is.

I think the Briscoes could do exceptionally well in NXT, but all bets are off when it comes to the main roster because up there, Vince McMahon makes the final call on what's what and what isn't. That used to be a good thing once upon a time, but, in my opinion, he's becoming more and more out of touch with modern wrestling audiences.
