WWE letting there talent mingle with TNA now?

Pre-Show Stalwart
Now as I was going through the headlines on the main site I saw something rather peciular. On one of the recent UWF shows both WWE and TNA wrestlers appeared on the card together

"Team Sgt. Slaughter (Dustin Rhodes, The Steiners and Team Macktion) defeated Team JBL (LAX, Steve Corino, Elix Skipper and CW Anderson) in a War Games style match at the UWF show in Richmond, VA last night. The captains got involved in the match when Slaughter put the Cobra Clutch on JBL for the win. Other notable results from the show: D-Lo Brown d. Abyss, AJ Styles won an 8 Man Battle Royal, Joey Matthews d. AJ Styles. Ron Simmons, Senshi, Daffney and Gail Kim also appeared at the show"
And on their website the 3 main people promoted are the WWE talent. Now i know that none of these guys are main talent but I thought the WWE usually forbid their wrestlers from practically being on the same card as TNA wrestlers let alone in teh same match. Is this something new or because none are active wrestlers (well until Ron returned last week on Heat) are the rules different?

This is a valid point. WWE usually pulls thier talent from shows that also features TNA talent. The only thing I can think of, is that WWE wants to send out feelers to TNA talent, as seeing as so many of them are expressing unhapiness in TNA. Just today we learned that two major tag teams, LAX and the Motor City Machine Guns, as well as Sonjay Dutt, wish to leave TNA.
WWE is not stupid. They know that TNA has much more talent than them at the moment. They also know that most of the talent who are unhappy there are the tag teams and X-Division guys. I'm sure that we've all noticed that the main event guys have been monopolizing the titles in TNA, as well as the screen time. Hell, Kurt Angle shows up like five times a night. And with the new Women's Division debuting, that will take more time away from them. The way I see it, WWE is planning a major shake up in their tag team and cruiserweight divisions. And TNA is the perfect place to start. Can you imagine Londrick vs. the Motor City Machine Guns? sweet. I'm very interested to see how this plays out.

Actually some WWE employees has the right to make appearances wherever they please. You see Jerry Lawler making appearances on non-WWE organizations here and there. The entire no-compete clause mostly applies to current WWE talent that has a strong working schedule which it's quite obvious other names including Ricky Steamboat, Sgt Slaughter and Jerry Lawler doesn't follow the same regulation.

I mean hell, does anyone remember when TNA and the WWE were both trying to sign Matt Hardy back in 2005 and the WWE gave Matt Hardy permission to appear on one of TNA's PPV's but TNA lost interest in Matt Hardy or even using him due to the fact he was/is a contracted WWE talent?

Just because some people wants to see World Championship Wrestling coming back from the dead through TNA to haunt Vince McMahon doesn't mean it's reality. TNA is nowhere near competition level to the WWE nor will they ever. WWE truly doesn't fear TNA nor is there any reason for them to fear Florida's promotion. What Eric Bischoff did back in the 90's was genius, but that was Eric and WCW which Dixie Carter and TNA proves to be nowhere near the word creative when it comes to Eric Bischoff's book (figure of speech, not that it was stated in his Controversy book).

too bad we couldnt see this kind of interaction on tv since the world is about money and ratings. i think it would kick ass if both companys intermingled, it would bring out the best in TNA and WWE.

yea like the guy said wwe is not afraid of tna when the wwe feels that tna is getting to be a problem they will squash them like they did wcw.wwe is the first to know when tna wrestlers are not happy because they r the first to sign them, for example {the naturals}.wwe is scouting tna's talent hardcore.By sending people like sgt.slaughter, ron simmons to the mixed shows.they know that those people have influence over younger wrestlers.wwe is smart for doing that they can easily influence tna talent.

What i think is that wwe and tna should work together instead of against each other. it would be the best thing for wrestling. enough with this wwe vs tna shit, this is not monday night wars or anything like that. so IMO there is no need for this wwe vs tna talk anymore on the forums or anywhere else.

Although they can appear I was under the impression that the WWE had a high degree of contol over them. As often the WWE pulls talent if they even sniff TNA on the smae card let alone being involved in the same match (admittedly as Team captians but you knew they would get involved anyhow)
Although I think the scenario of the WWE scouting is possible i think all involved would be crazy to jump theri instead of Japan or Mexico. do you really want to go into a diviosn where you can dominate the !OTHER TEAM or be a crusiweight where the champ is a comedy midget. I would hate to see what would become of them then. I really hope TNA does stay commited and gives these guys more with a secoind hour. I mean with 2 hours you can have 2 matches with main eventers, one tag team, 2 mid card matches and and X division (lets hope the Womens champ quickly signs with WWE with belt and walks on to Raw and throws the belt in the garbage)
