WWE Hall of Fame Question

Pre-Show Stalwart
I was wondering if guys like Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Mark Henry, The Miz, etc. retired today would they make the Hall of Fame?

Daniel Bryan - 4x World Champion, 1x IC Champion, 1x US Champion, 1x Tag Team Champion, 2011 MITB Winner

Sheamus - 3x World Champion, 1x IC Champion, 2x US Champion, 2010 KOTR, 2012 RR Winner

Mark Henry - 1x World Champion, 1x ECW Champion, 1x European Champion. Mainly because his longevity?

The Miz - 1x World Champion, 4x IC Champion, 2x US Champion, 6x Tag Team Champion, 2010 MITB Winner

Kofi Kingston - 4x IC Champion, 3x US Champion, 3x Tag Team Champion

Dolph Ziggler - 2x World Champion, 4x IC Champion, 1x US Champion, 1x Tag Team Champion, 2012 MITB Winner

An very questionable one since he is already retired from the WWE:

Alberto Del Rio - 4x World Champion, 2011 MITB Winner, 2011 Royal Rumble Winner

I mentioned these guys in particular because they are decorated champions (except Henry), but I find highly questionable if they retired today they will make HOF. I would like to hear your opinion about this topic.

The short answer is maybe for all of them. All of the above have made a bigger impact than koko b ware.

The realality is that induction into the hof seems to depend as much on the terms a wrestler left on and there ability to create a buzz for the ceremony and weekend as a whole as the wrestlers body of work.

For that reason I would say adr is a long shot. None of the rest would surprise me.

Sheamus and Ziggler: When they actually DO retire, I think they both could very well end up being HOFers. But if they retired TODAY I would say No.

Kingston: in 10-15 years when the WWE is still trying to do their annual "minority inductee", they may come to Kofi.

Bryan and Henry: Locks

The Miz: This one is interesting. Initially it was hard for me to imagine him as a HOFer, (just as it was hard for me to imagine him as WWE Champion). But it's not totally inconceivable. He is such a "company man" and I just get the feeling that the Office would do this for him.

Mark Henry is a guarantee, Bryan is a lock as well, but I think it would take a little longer for him to get the nod. Ziggler, Sheamus, and even Kofi are ones that I think will go in, but they will be the minor inductions on a ballot with someone like Cena or Orton as a headliner.

Del Rio is a harder case to make, but stranger things have happened, and time heals all wounds. So I think he could go in at some point down the line.

Miz is someone that doesn't get the credit he deserves. He is a guy that works extremely hard, does whatever is asked of him, and is a great ambassador and spokesman for WWE. He definitely will get in the Hall of Fame in my opinion, because he does so much for the company, despite the criticism he receives.

In the end though, everyone on this list is more credible than some of the guys that have been inducted to this point. And I mean no disrespect to these guys but Koko B Ware and Rikishi do not scream Hall of Fame to me

I'm not sure why people are still having these HoF debates. As long as someone was decent and still on good terms, they'll get in.

Most Hall Of Fames (including the Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame) of course involve a voting process and and require the inductees to meet certain standards/critieria in order to even be considered. Getting into the WWE HOF however is more of a matter of WWE wanting someone in, being on good terms with them, and that person or (if they are deceased) their family, agreeing to it.

Due to that and the fact that some of the wrestlers already in the WWE HOF have less accomplishments (despite the predetermined nature) I think that all of your options are highly possible to probable.
