Gone. For. Good.
So Sami Zayn earned a shot at The Miz's InterContinental Championship by defeating him at Raw and thus the title match at Extreme Rules is now a fatal four way match between The Miz (c), Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Cesaro.

I think that Cesaro needs to win this title off Miz. Owens and Zayn can continue their rivalry without the title and can go into the Money In The Bank ladder match at WWE Money In The Bank.

Cesaro has been awesome since his return and he deserves to win this title. Miz doesn't need this championship.

Cesaro can have a long InterContinental Title reign until Summerslam where he can put over a young talent i.e Baron Corbin or Apollo Crews.

Nevertheless, I am expecting a good match considering that these 4 guys are good enough at in-ring work.

Thoughts & Votes? :suspic:

I'm not really sure who walks out really. The Miz & Maryse have been pretty good as WWE's "power couple" while Owens, Cesaro and Zayn all have fan interest & investment.

I don't see Owens or Zayn capturing the title as I just see their singles feud continuing for a while. The title could be in the center of things, but I personally would only be into it if Zayn was the champ and managed to successfully hold Owens off in their future bouts. I'm not really one for hot potato reigns and I'd hate to see Owens win the strap for the 3rd time only to drop it to Zayn within a month or so.

Truth be told, the only reason I thought Miz was winning the title was to be a transitional champion until either Cesaro, Owens or Zayn took it from him. I could see Miz retaining the title as, this time, being Intercontinental Champion seems to be actually doing something for his career.

Cesaro, in my opinion, probably "needs" the title more than any of them at this point in time because a lot of fans just flat out want to see Cesaro get a strong singles push. Many fans have been wanting it to happen for a long time and crowd interest in Cesaro is still there even after he's been subjected to highly questionable booking because Vince McMahon just doesn't see "it" in him.

If there is a new champ crowned, I'd want to see them hold it past SummerSlam. To be honest, if Cesaro wins, I wouldn't mind see him go down the road of doing a John Cena US Open Challenge with the Intercontinental Championship; he could call it the Intercontinental Invitational or something along those lines.

In some ways The Miz is underrated, but when you see him this match you really notice how much of a pedestrian, WWE paint by numbers talent.

Can Zayn keep losing? Nah, he wins it.

I think Miz walks out as the champ and hope Cesaro gets an even bigger push like winning a tournament for wwe title. Miz was always a solid midcard guy, he's quite good as the IC champ.

Agreed I liked The Miz title run in 2011 but looking at him now with the likes of Cesaro, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, and the guys at NXT, the Miz really looks inferior as far as talent level is concerned. He might be better in the mic than most people but it's not enough to make him stand out.

I feel like Miz is pretty underated in the ring. I've said this in a past thread, but I personally enjoyed his matches with Jericho and Styles than I did Jericho vs Styles(the ones before their Wrestlemania match).

- Owens has held the IC title twice and did nothing with it. So I'm not too interested in seeing him as champ again.
- Zayn is fairly new and don't need it.
- Miz winning the IC championship has reinvented his character in a way and the addition of Maryse only has made it better. I would enjoy Miz retaining but...
-Cesaro needs this win most of all. He gets booked as a threat but he never wins.

My vote is for Cesaro, but I wouldn't object to seeing Miz continue his IC reign.

This one is kind of hard to call really. The Miz with Maryse as IC Champion is generating some good heat, I'm not The Miz's biggest supporter but you have to give him props. He's great on the mic, has a decent gimmick and entrance, and his match with Cesaro wasn't too bad.

Cesaro, his reactions from the fans haven't dwindled. He's tweaked his gimmick with a bond entrance and his ring work is always top notch. Could you imagine WWE giving Cesaro a 45-60 minute match for once? He'd bring the house down with anyone. Fans have been waiting for a big Cesaro win for a long time. Personally, I'm in -The Cesaro Section- and want this man to be the new I.C champion.

K.O, my favorite wrestler on the roster. What's not to love about K.O? The guy is a great heel, in ring smack talker/taunter and overall has the potential to steal any show on any given night. K.O's feud with Sami has been entertaining and it's deeply rooted. K.O is the man who's been the most vocal about regaining the I.C title and really has the most momentum going into the match. So a K.O victory is also a strong possibility. He could be Intercontinental Champion AND Money in the Bank winner at the same time this year.

Sami Zayn. Sami vs Nakamura is hands down the best match of the year so far. He followed that up with a show stealing match with K.O at the last PPV. The fact that he's in a such deeply rooted feud with K.O might knock both out of the picture so it could continue....but it would be a little more interesting if Sami had his first title win at Extreme Rules to rub in K.Os face (story wise) to drive K.O nuts. So it's very possible Sami wins his first title at Extreme Rules.

I would honestly be fine with any of the four coming out on top and expect a good match regardless of the result.
It kind of bugs me because I don't mind Miz as champion.
I don't want Sami to lose another match.
I love seeing Kevin Owens with the belt.
Then there is Cesaro who really deserves something to go right for him.
I'm sure it'll play out just fine down the road though.

Yeah, Thats a great idea. I too thought about it before Payback but the thing that made this angle almost impossible is that WWE doesn't look to be so high on Cesaro to give him a Cena-esque angle.

But if WWE is high enough on Cesaro then InterContinental Invitational can be a great thing to happen on Raw weekly. John Cena's US Open Challenge was great enough to make me tune into Raw just to see who his opponent is. Just think of it, Cesaro defending his InterContinental Championship every week against different opponents.

WWE can even bring some well-known wrestlers from different countries just for an one-off appearance just like NxT did with Thunder Liger.

Well I won't be. Reasons are below.

Thats almost a sure thing to happen. Cesaro, Zayn and Owens are just great in-ring workers and Miz is an underrated in-ring worker too.

I agree wholely. Miz is such a great heel that we love to hate. He and Kevin Owens are great ol' traditional heels.

I too don't want so. But he can easily be protected and still lose this match without getting pinned or submitted. If the match would have been Zayn Vs. Owens, I would have surely wanted Zayn to win. But here he can lose.

Same here. But now Owens is in midst of a rivalry with Zayn which doesn't need a title. Plus I would want a MITB victory for Owens instead of 3rd IC Title reign.

The Bolded Part answers it all. He deserves the victory. And He needs the victory the most out of all 4 guys.

It should be a good match. Although I think the odds are stacked against The Miz. I think The Miz will cheat to win against Cesaro again, while Owens and Zayn beat the hell out of each other, leading to final showdowns between Cesaro/Miz and Zayn/Owens at Battleground. I think Miz, Cesaro, Zayn, Owens will be four of the seven guys competing for the MITB Briefcase.

Well I wouldn't want the InterContinental Champion to be present in the Money In The Bank Ladder match. I don't think that Owens or Zayn would win the title off Miz. So the possible winners could be Miz or Cesaro.

If Miz wins, then I am okay with Cesaro being in the MITB match. But if Cesaro wins, he can defend the title against Miz in a rematch at MITB PPV.

7 participants that I would want in the MITB ladder match are:

1. Kevin Owens
2. Sami Zayn (for obvious reasons)
3. Dean Ambrose
4. Chris Jericho
5. Baron Corbin
6. Apollo Crews
7. Randy Orton/Bray Wyatt.

Let Owens win. But if not Owens, you could use Zayn to screw Owens again. Jericho just as veteran would be good. If Randy is fit for MITB, we could get Corbin Vs. Randy for Summerslam as Corbin alleges Randy for his MITB loss.

Then let either Ambrose or Wyatt win.

The IC Champion should have inspirations to win the WWE WHC which would be a good reason why he should be in the match.

With Orton, Cena and Rollins returning soon, likely to have high profile matches on this MITB card, might as well reward the guys who've been grinding while they've been injured by putting them in the MITB match. Because once these guys return, atleast two of them will be in the title picture for a while.

Let Owens/Zayn, Miz/Cesaro elevate the Battleground card. WWE finally put on a good Payback card. Let's see if they can finally do a good Battleground one.

As expected, all 4 guys delivered brilliantly in this fatal four way match.

I would have loved a Cesaro win but a sneaky heel win by Miz was good enough for me.

Besides the finish, The whole match was freakin' great. For me, It is one of the Match Of The Year Candidate for 2016.

Miz isn't as sound as the other 3 at in-ring work but he upped his game very well. Zayn beating the hell out of Owens and thus losing the match showed the depth of Owens-Zayn rivalry.

Pretty unsure about Miz's challenger for Money In The Bank PPV.
