WWE Countdown pet peeve

I understand getting the current wrestlers opinions on historic events and things, but if you pay attention, some of these people are full of shit. Some of it is downright laughable.

Case in point: Top Rivalries countdown, #10 Hogan vs. Piper.

In reference to the WWF "War to Settle the Score" event, CESARO says "it was so cool to see the WWF on MTV". Cesaro was 4 YEARS OLD at the time. He may have seen it, but at the age of 4 he obviously didn't know the difference between WWF being on MTV or any other channel for that matter.

This is certainly not the worst example, but its the latest one I heard. Its the overall vibe I get when watching this stuff, where it seems that the wrestlers say things that they are told to say or are just flat out lying about their recollections of whatever the topic is.

I think that the WWE wasn't expecting for someone to do their homework, go Google the birthdays of their wrestlers, then subsequently be called out for their wrestlers remembering something that they probably have never seen. When I watch Countdown I just let the results be what they are since I really do not think they are completely accurate.

For instance John Cena returning at the 2008 Royal Rumble is not the "most thunderous return" in my opinion. I think it should have been Shawn Michaels for returning after his back injury. Another example is that Mike Tyson gets the win for best celebrity involvement but it was Mr. T's involvement with WWE that helped get the company to explode in popularity with his two WrestleMania appearances. Again, most of the people who were around to watch those moments most likely no longer watch wrestling anymore and leaves us younger fans to vote on what we think is the biggest event in history. Not entirely a great idea but not necessarily a bad one either. My advice would to be just watch it and see where your number one lands. But seeing where its going when they air something along the lines of best "World Champion" in history we might get an answer like The Miz instead of more obvious choices like Flair, Triple H, Cena, Sting, etc., etc. Again, let the show play out and not worry so much about the little things.

No real original countdowns is my problem, all from old DVDs mainly. They need loads of new interviews done too. But main beef if lack of original content. That's my main beef with the network as a whole.
