WWE Council of War

Ziggles has been my niggles since I first laid eyes upon him. I expect great things of him.

Or are they?

I don't know how much the additions of Del Rio and Mysterio are going to help. Del Rio may have to carry this match.

I expect Sheamus/Morrison to be the match of the night and Morrison to win.

I figured that this question belong in this thread since it deals with an old subject. So can anyone explained the situation with Bruiser Brody's death?

Brody was a journeyman, as in he'd go around the world, never staying in the same place for very long at all so he didn't wear out his welcome. One of his big places was Puerto Rico where he allegedly was thinking about buying into the company. Carlos Colon (Carlito and Primo's dad) owned the company and had a friend named Jose Gonzalez, more commonly known as Invader #1.

One night Gonzalez asked Brody to go into the shower to discuss business. Just about every wrestler in the locker room that night says that Gonzalez had a towel with a knife under it. Tony Atlas was in the shower and allegedly saw the whole thing. For some reason he wouldn't testify at the trial. Since there were no witnesses, Gonzalez claimed self-defense and was acquitted. All of that is pretty much the universally accepted story.

Now depending on who you want to believe, there were some very shady issues with this, such as the police/paramedics not being called for over an hour, subpoenas not being sent out until after the trial ended, and a pair of "security guards" coming into the operating room and telling the doctor to stop operating on Brody. I'm not sure I believe most of that aspect of it though.

Thanks, I was wondering why Gonzalez could still be in public after that. I'm amazed at how clear of a cover up it is yet still no convictions.

Um, fucking right you are.

Just realized. RVD really fucking odd. Like, the best horrible wrestler ever. Has put on some of my favorite / best / most terrible matches ever

He was a bit out there wasn't he. I remember a few good matches he had, but the majority of them were with great workers. And yet he was the best ECW had by miles and miles.

May as well join in too since I am an old crusty on the forum as well.

Steve Corino Vs. Dusty Rhodes Texas Bullrope Match, Thoughts?

That was on one of the worst PPVs I've ever seen and was somehow the match of the night. It's not bad, but I'm not a fan of bullrope matches for the most part.

the NOD was pretty fucking badass at their height.

Also, Ahmed Johnson / LOD entrance for the chicago street fight at WM 13 was pretty fuckin awesome
