"entertainment era"? Huh? I thought the era was "realism" because thats what Punk stated, "This is the realism era". And think its true and it is because Faces are getting booed and Heels are getting cheered. Most people know that the reason why Heels are heels are because they are good at making people hate them. They can easily turn into a face and still have people love them. Mean while the face, can only play one character and most of the time, they CAN'T WRESTLE, so thats why they have to play a 1 dimensional character. What I'm trying to say is that Heels are talented while faces aren't and the audiences are starting to see that now, they're not cheering for good guys now just because they're good guys like back in the classic era. Unlike the attitude era, people now don't like you if you're not good at wrestling, for attitude era as long as you're a bad ass and hit people with chairs and break tables, you're good. Now you have to be skilled in the ring and perform each and every night without botching. For example, Cody Rhodes, Ziggler, Punk *when he was a heel*, and orton*when he was a heel*, although they may not be that great of shape and that great on the mic *besides punk*, they still have the ring ability and people love that. WWE now also doesn't hide any behind the scene storylines anymore, they let us know that Sin Cara was suspended, Evan and truth are suspended due to violation of wellness , WWE stars are released, Kharma's pregnancy, and twitter. They even have a news column for wwe now updating the universe about outside the ropes. So this has to be the era of "REALISM" where entertainment is entertainment but nothing can be hidden from the media.
