Monday Night Raw – April 8th 2013

King: “Welcome to Monday Night Raw! The crowd are packed into a sold out Madison Square Garden, home of tonight’s Monday Night Raw and we couldn’t ask for more! This show is packed tonight; we have got so much to talk about! Joining me is Michael Cole and JBL, your regular Raw commentary team!”

JBL: “Thanks King, this show is meatier than a Big Mac!”

Cole: “Coming up tonight we’ve got celebrations, from John Cena and more controversially, CM Punk! After he defeated The Undertaker, he tweeted that he will give him a Funeral that nobody will forget! And John Cena has promised to give us all a WWE Championship celebration after he defeated The Rock!”

King: “Not to mention, I’m sure there’ll be some gloating from Big E Langston and Dolph Ziggler after they defeated Team Hell No last night to become the new Tag Champions!”

JBL: “Those guys are the team of the future King and you know it!

Cole: “That was certainly impressive John, but I think nothing was more impressive than seeing Ryback lift up Mark Henry onto his shoulders and hit him with a HUGE Shellshock! Ryback didn’t deserve the beating that Mark Henry laid upon him after the match, I’m sure that Big Hungry will have something to say about that tonight.”

*Here To Show The World*

Dolph Zigglers music hits and instantly, the crowd begin to boo. It’s not just Ziggler that makes his way out onto the stage though, as Big E Langston & AJ Lee join him as they stand at the top of the ramp. The two men on either side of AJ, they hold their newly won Tag Titles up in the air, Dolph also holding up his Money In The Bank briefcase with it. Dolph & AJ share a kiss as the three then begin to walk down to the ring. AJ sits on the middle rope, as the two men enter the ring either side of her. She joins them in the ring, entering between the top and middle rope. She grabs the microphone and grins.

AJ: “I told you that we could do it! Ziggy & Big E, the NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIOOONS!”

She holds the microphone up to Dolph’s face.

Ziggler: “All of you doubted us, but from the moment we stepped into the ring with Team Hell No, me and Big E Langston knew that we’d be leaving it with the Tag Team Championship belts around our waists, and look at us now!”

The crowd boo as the two men hold up their titles again. AJ moves the microphone away from Dolph and over to Big E.

Langston: “The time of destruction has begun. From here on, the most dominant Tag Team in the history of the WWE will begin their reign.”

AJ: “You see, with the…muscles of Big E, and the… technical brilliance of Ziggy, I don’t see any reason for these two to ever lose their titles. In fact, we know that they’re never going to lose, so why should they even bother defending them?!”

*Veil of Fire*

Daniel Bryan’s music hits, which can only mean one thing! Out come Team Hell No onto the stage as the crowd go crazy. Bryan starts waving his arms shouting “NO!” as they come down to the ring. Bryan & Kane both have mics as they slide under the bottom rope to confront the new Tag Champs.

Bryan: “You’re not gonna defend your titles?! I think that you’ll find we have a rematch and I have a plan! We’re gonna cash in that rematch…TONIGHT!”

Kane: “Wait, tonight?”

Bryan: “Yes!”

The crowd start to chant “YES! YES! YES!” as Bryan crosses his arms and nods, happily.

Kane: “Ok, we want our rematch and we want it tonight! We’re going to take those Tag Titles back and bring them back to where they belong, with Team Hell No!”

Ziggler: “Oh really? I think you’ll find that last night, we beat you. I think it’s pretty likely that it’s gonna happen again!”

*3 Man Band*

Out on the stage comes the 3-Man Band – Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre & Jinder Mahal. The crowd are booing them as they begin to strut down the ramp, Slater with a mic in hand.

Slater: “Woah woah woah, you clowns think you can win back the Tag Titles? Call me stupid, but I think you’ll find the new Tag Team Champions are standing right in front of you, and that’s 3MB, the THREE MAN BAND BABBYYYYYYY!”

Bryan: “You’re stupid.”

The crowd cheer for Bryan’s remarks, but as they do, music starts to blare out of the speakers again.

*Special Ops*

From up in the crowd, we can see Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns come out through curtains. Ambrose has a mic and the three men stand at the top of the stairs.

Ambrose: “All of you are pathetic. When it comes to the Tag Titles, there is only one group of people that deserve to hold them. Those people are the undefeated, most dominant group of men in the WWE today… The Shield.”

The crowd boo viciously as all the men in the ring, along with 3MB on the outside stare tentatively at Ambrose.

“You see, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, they want to challenge for the Tag Titles and bring them home to The Shield. Obviously, you’re too cowardly to accept the challenge; you know we could take all three of your teams down in an instant.

Much to the crowd’s surprise, MORE music blares out of the speakers.

*Voices*

Randy Orton comes out onto the stage and stands still, as Sheamus comes out to join him. The crowd erupt into the loudest cheers we’ve heard so far tonight. The music cuts as Orton and Sheamus stare up into the crowd.

Orton: “You all want a shot at the tag titles? I think you’ll find that myself and Sheamus would like one of those as well.”

Ambrose: “Oh really? Think back to last night Randy, where we left you and Sheamus, along with Big Show laying on the mat as we beat you. And you want a shot at the Tag Titles? You must be as deluded as everyone sitting here in this arena.”

Orton: “Myself and Sheamus would battle through every single one of these teams to get to you and then, we’d beat you down into the ground along with it.”

?: “EXCUUUUSE ME!”

The crowd boo as out onto the stage, next to Orton & Sheamus, comes Vickie Guerrero.

Vickie: “I SAID EXCUSE ME!”

The crowd continue to boo Vickie, who decides to carry on talking over all the noise.

Vickie: “I’ve been watching you all backstage and all I can say is you all obviously want the same thing. Team Hell No, you will get your Tag Title rematch tonight!”

Bryan & Kane look happy as they’ve got the result they wanted. Bryan holds out a hand for a high five, but Kane just looks at him confusedly.

Vickie: “However, there’s going to be a few additions to your match. Say… another 3? The Tag Titles will be defended tonight, in a Gauntlet Match! Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston will defend the titles against Team Hell No, 3MB, Randy Orton and Sheamus and The Shield!”

Ziggler and Langston, along with AJ all look disgusted as they shout down the ramp to Vickie. The camera cuts to Orton & Sheamus, who look happy about the decision that was made. Ambrose, along with his Shield cohorts, grins, as does every member of 3MB. Team Hell No look conflicted, as they begin to leave the ring.

King: “Wow, did you hear that?! A five team Gauntlet match tonight for the Tag Titles!”

Cole: “That match will be off the scale King, I can guarantee you that. We’re going to take a quick commercial break now, but up next is our first match of the evening, Antonio Cesaro goes up against Chris Jericho!”

*Commercial Break*

King: “Welcome back to Raw! We’ve got what’s set to be a great match up next, where Antonio Cesaro is facing off against Chris Jericho!”

Cole: “Cesaro has already made his way to the ring during the commercials; he couldn’t wait to start this match!”

The entire arena blacks out as everyone knows what’s coming. Thousands of heads turn towards the entrance ramp as suddenly, the light-up jacket appears.

*Break the Walls Down*

The lights come back on and Chris Jericho is on the stage. He spins around on one foot & punches the air as he begins to walk down the ramp.

Chimel: “Making his way to the ring, from Calgary, Alberta…”Y2J” CHRIS JERICHO!”

Jericho finishes his walk before sliding under the ring and pointing at the US Title that’s around Cesaro’s waist.

Cole: “Jericho looks great tonight, fresh from his win over Fandango!”

JBL: “Fandango should be getting this title shot, not Jericho! What’s he done to deserve it lately? Nothing.”

King: “Um… beat Fandango?”

The referee is standing in the ring and he holds the title belt, reminding us what is at stake here in this big match. The bell rings and at last, the match is underway.

Jericho and Cesaro circle around the ring, arms stretched out in front of themselves. The two lock up as Cesaro plants a knee into the stomach of Jericho. Jericho bends over and early on, Cesaro comes off of the ropes and charges towards a winded Jericho. Y2J springs back to life though just in time and with the aid of his back, manages to lift the champ over, letting him drop to the mat! Cesaro calls out in pain as Jericho punches the air yet again. Picking the Swiss superstar off of the mat, Jericho delivers his own knee to the stomach of Cesaro, before Irish whipping him into the corner. Jericho runs almost alongside Antonio to the corner, but stops before he makes contact. A couple of knife-edge chops his Cesaro clean in the chest as he bends over in pain. Jericho makes his way over to the opposite turnbuckle and starts to run. As he gets closer to Cesaro he jumps, hitting him with a beautiful dropkick to the face! Cesaro drops to the floor instantly and Jericho grabs him, dragging him into the centre of the ring. He goes for the cover;
1…KICKOUT!

Jericho jumps straight back onto his feet and goes to pick up Cesaro by the head, only to be met with a launched forearm to the face! Jericho holds his own head now in pain as Cesaro grabs it, placing it under his arm, throwing Jericho backwards in a forceful snap suplex. Cesaro grabs the leg of Y2J, turning him over in the process so that his face is touching the mat. The champ lifts the leg up and drives the knee into the mat twice as Jericho calls out in pain. Cesaro does it once more for good measure as he then raises his arms high, while the crowd boo him. Cesaro rests at the turnbuckles while he waits for Jericho to get up. Chris slowly starts to get to his feet, but he has no time to rest as Cesaro begins to run at Jericho with a clothesline. But Cesaro doesn’t connect as Y2J’s head ducks it! Cesaro turns around, but his legs are grabbed and he’s flicked to the floor as Jericho flips himself over into a pin! 1…2...KICKOUT!
Still nothing for Jericho who gets back up onto his feet again, this time with his head in his hands as Cesaro looks tired on the mat. Jericho runs at the ropes, looking for one of his signature moves! He jumps and looks for a Lionsault off of the middle ropes, but Cesaro moves! Jericho eats the canvas as Cesaro cracks his neck twice. He grabs Jericho and puts one arm over his back and the other between his legs. He starts to lift Jericho, but Y2J manages to push off with his legs and force Cesaro to lift him too far! Jericho goes over the top of the US Champ and looks to pull down his legs into a pin, but Cesaro has other ideas. He drops down seated onto the chest of Jericho, looking for a strange, but unique pin of his own! 1…2…KICKOUT!

Cesaro doesn’t look happy as Jericho still has some fight left in him in this match. Cesaro decides to go to the outside and pick up a chair. He knows that if he attacks Jericho with it he’ll be disqualified but he won’t lose his title. He slides back in under the ring and goes to smash the chair over Jericho’s head, but for the second time in the match, Jericho ducks! Cesaro again, who should’ve learned from his lessons the first time, turns around, but gets hit with a dropkick to the knees from Jericho. Antonio’s knees give way and he drops down, his head falling into the chair in the process! The crowd cheer for the genius of Y2J as he decides that he’s going to go for the Lionsault! Running at the ropes and jumping, this time he lands perfectly on Cesaro! He goes for a pin… but changes his mind! Jericho puts his hands to his mouth and calls out “Walls!” Jericho is looking for his finisher, but all of a sudden;

*ChaChaLaLa*

The music of Fandango hits, as he comes running down to ringside, his dancer walking slowly down behind him. Jericho takes the fighting stance as he prepares for the attack from Fandango, but before he can make it to the ring, the dancing Superstar stops running, playing tricks on Jericho. Jericho stares him down as he begins to laugh and points behind Jericho. Jericho turns, slowly, only to be met with a kick to the stomach! Cesaro whips Jericho to the ropes and as he comes back towards Antonio, Jericho gets lifted into the air by the bare hands and hit with a huge European Uppercut as he lands! Cesaro shouts out as the crowd boo him like mad. He picks Jericho up again, looking for The Neutralizer! Cesaro has Jericho lifted… he drops Jericho on his face! Cesaro looks to retain his title with this pin, 1…2...3!

Chimel: “Your winner, the United States Champion…Antonio Cesaro!”

King: “Wow, Cesaro won! But he wouldn’t have done it if it wasn’t for the assistance he got from Fandango!”

Cole: “That was just downright dirty! I don’t know if Fandango wanted to help Cesaro or just distract Jericho, but he’s done both in one manoeuvre here!”

JBL: “Like I said earlier on, that’s my boy! Fandango’s a damn genius! The guy’s just like me, only with quicker feet!”

Cesaro makes his way out of the ring and up the entrance ramp with his title belt as Fandango enters the ring and begins to pound away on Jericho. He grabs the microphone from somebody at ringside.

Fandango: “I’ve told you before, it’s…”

He changes his mind and turns around, deciding to go towards the turnbuckle instead. Fandango jumps up onto the top rope and signals for his leg drop finisher. He jumps… but Jericho manages to roll out of the way! Fandango jumps back up, but he turns around and gets hit with a huge Codebreaker!

The crowd go crazy as Jericho looks around smiling, before picking up the lone microphone that’s on the mat.

Jericho: “And I’m gonna tell you now, it’s… Chriiiis. Jerrrichoooo!”

The crowd go mad again as Jericho mimics Fandango in the middle of the ring, swaying his hips from side to side. He looks down at Fandango, still lying in pain.

Jericho: “Hey, Fandango! How about we go at it again? Say, next week on Raw? But this time, we up the ante a little bit and we make it a Falls Count Anywhere match?!”

The crowd erupt at Jericho’s idea. Jericho picks up Fandango and throws him over the top rope and he crashes to the outside. Fandango starts to get to his feet, but before he has time to even stand up straight, Jericho dives to the outside on top of him! Jericho gets up from the dive and pins Fandango, counting a 1…2…3 along with the crowd in attendance. Jericho springs up and raises his arms in celebration.

King: “How about that?! I think we may have just had an announcement there! A Falls Count Anywhere match next week on Raw, Jericho vs Fandango!”

JBL: “This time it’s gonna go to Fandango, I can feel it in my bones!”

The camera cuts backstage where we see Justin Roberts standing, microphone in hand.

Roberts: “Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m joined by the man that defeated Mark Henry at Wrestlemania last night, that is Ryback! Ryback, last night you lifted Mark Henry on top of your shoulder and hit him with a huge Shellshock, picking up your first Pay Per View win in your career, what do you have to say about that?”

Ryback: “Justin, last night was the greatest night of my life. Beating Mark Henry wasn’t as easy as I might have made it look, but lifting him on my shoulders and dropping him to the mat was the greatest feeling I’ve ever experienced. But after the match, Henry decided to take out some of that anger on me. Let me tell you Mark, thinking that it’s appropriate to attack me after you’ve already lost is completely wrong. You could have taken your loss like a man, but instead, you took it like a coward and a pathetic human being. Keep watching out for me Mark, because one day, you’re gonna feel Shellshock.”

The camera cuts back into the arena and to the announce table.

Cole: “This night is just getting better if you ask me King!”

King: “Yeah, but will Ryback be able to ever get his revenge on Mark Henry?”

JBL: “We’re gonna cut to another commercial break now, but when we come back, John Cena is out to celebrate his WWE Championship win, then we’ve got that huge Tag Team Gauntlet match!!”

*Commercial Break*

The camera’s cut back to the arena where fans are relatively quiet due to there being no action in the ring, apart from two men setting up a black carpet on the mat, which they’ve just finished. As they make their way back to ringside, music begins to play from the speakers.

*My Time Is Now*

The music gets into full swing and the crowd start to go crazy, with both cheers and boos. All of a sudden, John Cena appears on the stage! He has the WWE Championship around his waist and as he stands on the stage, he looks to the camera at the side, shouting “I did it!” Cena salutes, running down the ring & sliding underneath the bottom rope. He takes the belt from around his waist, holding it in the air as the mixed reaction continues. Cena takes a microphone from ringside and begins to talk to the crowd.

Cena: “I did it!”

Cena pauses as the crowd mainly now cheer for him and he starts smiling.

Cena: “Just over a year ago, I lost in the main event of Wrestlemania 28 to The Rock and a year later, I’ll admit, I didn’t think that I could beat him, especially in a match for the WWE Title. But last night, I proved everyone that ever thought I couldn’t beat The Rock wrong. I proved you guys wrong, I proved everyone in the back wrong, I proved The Rock wrong but most of all, I proved myself wrong. I went into that match thinking that there wasn’t any chance in hell, but after that final Attitude Adjustment, the match was over and the WWE Championship was mine! When we were finished, The Rock finally realised everything that I had been battling for the past year and he held my hand up in victory. My divorce, my constant losses, not to mention my negative receptions all amounted to something that I just couldn’t handle and when The Rock realised that I’d battled all of that to finally become the WWE Champion, that was the reason that he held my hand up in victory. I stand in front of you a better man. A man that has a reason to carry on fighting in the WWE, and that reason is the WWE Championship. This belt was held by CM Punk recently for over a year and they man that last night defeated The Undertaker proved that if you don’t lose it, you become the man. So that’s what I’m gonna do now. From now until the extremely distant future, I will be your WWE Champion.”

*If Ya Smell*

The Rock’s music hits through the speakers and out onto the stage comes the former WWE Champion, The Rock. He stands on the stage only, with the microphone in his hand.

Cena: “Rocky. Let me guess, you’ve given me all the respect you can give me, but you want me to give you your rematch?”

Rock: “John Cena. The new WWE Champion everyone, thinks that I’ve come out here just so I can have my rematch. John Cena, the new WWE Champion, last night, you proved to the millions…”

”AND MILLIONS!” the crowd shout in response

Rock: “Why you should hold that title around your waist. You beat me last night and a rematch would be something that would blow the roof off of this place, I can’t deny that and neither can you, but I haven’t come out here for a rematch. In fact, I never want that rematch. I don’t ever want to face you again John and there’s nothing personal behind that. Not only do I not want to ever face you, I never want to face anyone. The reason that I’m out here is an important one and there’s nowhere better to let you hear it than Madison Square Garden. The boots are being hung up and from here on, The Rock isn’t wrestling anymore, not even for that WWE Championship. Being beaten by you made me realise, it’s not about me anymore, it’s about you. It’s about John Cena and the new era. What point is there in bringing back the old to take over, when all that truly matters are the younger, more exciting superstars? Take this as The Rock’s retirement, but don’t take it lightly. If you see me back here, I sure as hell won’t be fighting anybody in that ring. I might punch you in the face if I don’t like you, but we won’t be fighting for a three count.”

The crowd start to chant “Rocky! Rocky!” as he smiles on the ramp and raises one arm in the air.

Rock: “John, don’t you forget this, because you were the one that made me realise this. But don’t take it the wrong way, it’s the greatest thing that I could’ve done and there’s only one thing that I have left to say… IF YOU SMEEEELL, WHAT THE ROCK! IS! COOKING!”

The Rock’s music plays as John Cena walks out of the ring and up towards The Rock. He stands directly in front of Rocky and holds out his arm, shaking the hand of Rock as the crowd cheer like crazy. Cena raises Rocky’s arm on the ramp as they both head out to the back together.

Cole: “Wow”

King: “That seems like it for The Rock. I’m shocked Cole, I don’t know what to say”

The screen cuts to commercial as the crowd are still cheering for The Rock & John Cena.

*Commercial Break*

Coming back from the break, we see a replay of Rock & Cena holding their arms up in the air as the crowd cheer again for seeing it on the screen.

Cole: “I still can’t believe this. The Rock has retired everybody and the WWE Universe is in complete shock.”

King: “I can’t blame them Cole! We haven’t witnessed something this shocking in a very long time.”

JBL: “So he’s gone, who cares?! Good riddance, we’ve got a Tag Title match to call!”

King: “Keep it down! But you’re right; we’ve got a Tag Team Gauntlet match coming up right now! Let’s just run over the rules quickly.”

Cole: “Well, there are 5 teams in this match and two will be in the ring to start with, randomly picked. When one of the first teams gets a pinfall, another team will come down to the ring until there’s only one team left in the ring! The last team standing will be our Tag Team Champions!”

*Voices*

Randy Orton and Sheamus are the first team down to the ring and the first team randomly selected to start the match. The two men come out as the crowd go crazy for them and they slowly walk to the ring in unison.

Chimel: This is a Gauntlet match for the WWE Tag Team Championships! The last team in the ring will be the Champions! Introducing first, the team of Randy Orton and Sheamus!

Both men walk up opposite sets of steel steps. The two men go over the top ropes and wait in the ring to see who their opponents will be.

*Three Man Band*

3MB’s music hits and out comes Drew McIntyre & Heath Slater, the two men that have been picked to take part in the Tag Title match.

Chimel: Making their way to the ring, the team of Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre, The THREE MAN BAND!

They run down to the ring and slide under the ropes before jumping up and staring down their opponents. The referee calls for the bell, not having any titles to rise before the match starts, as this epic title match begins.

Slater and Sheamus tell their partners they’re going to start the match, but McIntyre decides to stay in the ring, as he plays air guitar to taunt Sheamus and Orton. Slater starts to join in with his team mate. The two men try to taunt the super team who start to get more and more annoyed. McIntyre and Slater move ever closer to their opponents, who watch the band, almost not blinking. Eventually, the Three Man Band twosome push both Orton and Sheamus and they fall back towards the ropes. Slater laughs at Sheamus and McIntyre attempts to charge Orton, but as they do, Sheamus bounces back with a Brogue Kick and Orton hits the running Scot with an RKO! McIntyre goes rolling out of the ring as Sheamus drops down and pins Heath Slater,
1…2…3!

Chimel: The Three-Man Band has been eliminated!

The first team are already eliminated just minutes into this Tag Title match. Orton and Sheamus re-group as they wait to hear the music of their next opponents.

*Big Epic Thing*

The next team out is Team Hell No as both Kane and Daniel Bryan run down to the ring, Bryan sliding under the bottom rope and Kane using the stairs. The two men rally the crowd as Bryan starts against Sheamus. Bryan goes for the legs of Sheamus, trying to take the big man down early, but Sheamus narrowly avoids the tackle. As Bryan starts to get back up to his feet, the Irishman hits him with a few forearms to the skull, as Bryan falls back to the mat, in his own corner. Kane leans over to Bryan and tags himself in, even if slightly to Bryan’s dismay. Kane comes into the ring as Sheamus tags in Orton for his first bit of action in this film. Kane grabs the arm of Randy straight away and whips him towards the turnbuckle. Orton hits one of the two empty corners as Kane runs right at him, only to have Orton move at the last second! Kane hits the pads in the corner and Orton hits Kane with some measured punches to the skull, as Kane starts to sink in the corner to the mat. Randy plants a couple of boots to the Big Red Machine before dragging him into the middle of the ring for a pin, 1…KICKOUT!

Kane breaks out of the pin almost immediately as Orton gets up, tagging in his partner Sheamus. Sheamus moves along the apron, watching Kane begin to get to his feet. As Kane starts to bring himself back round, Sheamus launches himself over the top rope, hitting a flying shoulder block! Sheamus stands up and grabs the arm of Kane to lift him back up to his level. Just as Kane starts to rise, his free arm grabs the throat of Sheamus, much to the surprise and joy of the crowd, who start cheering. Kane stands up fully, looking to put an end to this, but no! Sheamus boots Kane in the gut, who immediately releases the grip as Sheamus whips Kane towards the ropes. The Celtic Warrior waits for Kane to come back towards him and as he does, lifts Kane with one arm and drops him onto his bent knee, hitting his signature Backbreaker. Sheamus moves himself into a corner and starts to pound his fist on his chest, calling out “BROGUE!” The fans all join in and as Kane starts to get to his feet, Sheamus charges with the Brogue Kick…but misses! Kane ducks the kick and as Sheamus turns around, Kane grabs the throat again, not wasting any time, hitting a huge Chokeslam! Kane looks for the pin, but Daniel Bryan calls out from their corner, wanting some action. Almost hesitantly, Kane tags in his partner, who climbs to the top rope. The crowd start to chant “YES!” as Bryan waves his arms calling out “NO!” He stares at Sheamus and dives…but gets hit with a huge RKO from the top rope! Randy Orton made his own sneaky way into the ring to take out Bryan and the crowd begin to boo him! Orton turns around and hits Kane with a forearm, dropping him off of the apron as he then goes down for the pin! 1…2…3!

Chimel: Team Hell No has been eliminated!

Team Hell No has been eliminated, Orton and Sheamus have now taken out two teams, as they await the third.

*Special Ops*

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns can just about be seen coming out through the crowd as usual, without Ambrose. They start making their way down the steps to the ring, Rollins using his usual flip over the barricade to showboat. The two men stand on opposite sides of the apron, as Orton and Sheamus stare down Rollins and Reigns respectively. As quick as they can, the two members of Shield get into the ring and start to beat on Sheamus and Orton. Reigns get the upper hand on Sheamus, throwing him over the top rope, and then moving on to help Rollins with Orton. The two men beat down Orton and kick him out of the ring as they stand in the ring. The Shield stands tall as Rollins moves to the apron, with Reigns waiting for his opponents to recover. Eventually, Orton and Sheamus get back up, with Sheamus standing on the apron, Orton taking the action in the ring. As Orton moves closer to Roman, he gets booted in the gut and blasted over the back with successive forearms from the biggest member of The Shield. Orton is laying on the mat and Reigns drops a big elbow onto Orton. Reigns moves over and tags in Seth Rollins, who jumps over the top rope, runs towards the ropes and hits a running elbow drop on Orton! Rollins goes to for a pin, 1…2, KICKOUT!

Rollins gets back up and starts to lay his boots into Randy on the mat, as he then turns around and calls out to the crowd. He goes to turn back and make a move on Orton, but he’s already up! A running clothesline drops Rollins, who springs back up, only to get hit with another! Orton whips an aggressive Seth Rollins into the ropes and as he comes back at Orton, he gets thrown over with a huge powerslam! Orton moves around Rollins (who lays on the mat), stomping on both of his legs, his arms and his head. Orton tags in his partner Sheamus, who comes in through the ropes, moving in to pick Rollins up from the mat. Sheamus lifts up Rollins, bringing him up onto his shoulders, moving to the corner. Sheamus is looking to hit him with Pale Justice! Sheamus starts to run, but Rollins manages to drop off the shoulders of Sheamus, who just about manages to stop in his tracks before hitting the turnbuckles. Upon turning round, Rollins hits him with a huge dropkick and Sheamus drops back into the corner, seated on the mat. Rollins backs up into the corner and charges, jumping and hitting Sheamus in the head with a perfectly executed Enziguiri. Rollins drags Sheamus into the centre and looks to pin him! 1…2.KICKOUT!

Rollins tags in Reigns again and Reigns gets straight to the attack, blasting Sheamus with mounted punches to his head. Reigns spears Orton off of the apron and he goes crashing to the outside! Sheamus is woozy and getting to his feet as Reigns lifts him onto his shoulder and hits a massive Samoan Drop! Rollins meanwhile is walking around the apron, closer to Orton, who starts to bring himself to stand up. Before he has any chance to compose himself, Rollins runs straight at Orton, leaping off the apron and hitting a huge knee into the skull of the Viper. Back in the ring, Sheamus starts to counter Reigns’ attacks, as the referee moves to the outside to check on the condition of Randy Orton. Taking advantage of the referee not paying attention, Rollins mounts the top rope, looking to dive down on Sheamus. He jumps… but gets caught and the move is reversed into the Irish Curse Backbreaker! Sheamus calls out “BROGUE!” for the second time in this gauntlet, as the illegal man Rollins stands up. Sheamus hits Rollins in the head with a devastating Brogue Kick, but as he turns around, he gets hit with a spear from Roman Reigns, the legal man! Reigns goes for the pin as Rollins rolls out to the floor and the referee makes his way back to the ring. 1…2…3!

Chimel: Randy Orton and Sheamus have been eliminated!

In a shock to the crowd, Sheamus and Orton have been eliminated! Rollins is still out on the floor, but Reigns shouts out to the crowd “BELIEVE IN THE SHIELD!” as the crowd boo them incessantly. There’s only one other team to come out, the Tag Champions, Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston.

*Here to Show the World*

The crowd boo Ziggler and Langston as they make their way out to the ring. However, as the two men start to make their way to the ring, Reigns takes everyone by surprise by charging the two men on the ramp! He clotheslines Langston to the ground and takes over Ziggler, kicking him in the gut and throwing him off of the top of the ramp. As the two men haven’t made their way into the ring yet, they cannot be counted out, so Reigns takes full advantage of this before Rollins comes down to join in. The two men plant boots into Ziggler, who is in a lot of pain on the concrete. Reigns makes his way back down to the ring as he CAN be counted out, as Rollins jumps back onto the ramp, leaping to attack Big E Langston, but he gets caught in mid-air! Langston, in the heat of the moment, charges into the metal barricade, planting Rollins in the crowd, causing a lot of damage! Langston runs down the ramp and into the ring as the two big men on each team will now face off while their partners stay out in pain. Reigns makes the first move, hitting Big E with a forearm that seems to have no effect. Langston comes straight back with an epic clothesline that knocks Reign to the ground early! The physical effect of having already faced the team of Orton and Sheamus is obviously playing on Roman Reigns, who uses the ropes to get back to his feet. Langston goes to whip Reigns into the corner, but Reigns uses brute force to stop him, whipping Langston into the corner! Reigns charges towards Ziggler’s partner, hitting a shoulder block, followed by a clothesline! Reigns pins Langston as hits the floor, 1...KICKOUT!

There was no way that Langston could be put away that early by Reigns, who doesn’t look happy at all. Reigns is in the corner, looking to end this one and capture The Shield’s first title gold since they debuted. Langston is a little bit groggy as he gets up, Reigns goes for a spear, but he misses! Reigns ends up hitting the turnbuckle post, as Langston starts to get back to his feet after diving to avoid the spear. He pulls Roman out of the corner, and stands him up against the turnbuckle pads. He pulls apart the protective vest Reigns has on, before delivering a beastly chop that the entire crowd can hear, as they call out “Woo!” The crowd still aren’t sure whether or not to cheer Langston as he delivers two more chops to the chest of Roman Reigns. Back out by the ramp, both men are still down, with medics attending to Seth Rollins, who may have sustained some injuries. In the ring, we’ve missed a little bit of action as now; both men are trading punches directly in the centre of the ring. There’s solid boo’s for both men, although the odd person cheers Big E Langston. Why not? Langston punches Reigns square in the forehead and he moves back, using the ropes for leverage to hit a clothesline on the big man! Reigns mounts Langston, just like he did to Orton earlier on and starts to pound away at Big E, who is defenceless. Reigns jumps back up eventually and pounds his own chest, signalling that this is the end. Langston is using the ropes to help himself up, as the referee checks on his condition. Reigns positions himself perfectly and goes for the spear... but hits the referee! Langston pulled the referee in front of him just in time to avoid being hit with a spear for the second time! This time, it was at the cost of the referee. Reigns doesn’t know what to do as Langston starts to beat down Reigns, he’s not going to lose the tag titles tonight. Outside by the ramp, Dolph Ziggler is starting to come around. He starts to walk down the ramp slowly, but before he gets to ringside, a man from the crowd, dressed in jeans, a hoodie and a head bandana attacks him as he leaps over the barricade! Irish whipping Ziggler into the barricade, the man turns out to be Dean Ambrose, the third member of The Shield! He grabs Ziggler, planting his head into the steel steps twice! Langston catches this out of the corner of his eye as he leaves Reigns alone, moving towards the ropes. He shakes the referee to wake him up, in hope of getting Shield disqualified and getting the easy win, but Ambrose stops his attack and hops back over the barricade, running to the top of the steps. The referee is starting to wake up and shockingly, Seth Rollins is up as well, making his way over to an already downed Ziggler. He just about manages to hit a running knee to Dolph’s head as Langston doesn’t know what to think. Langston doesn’t have long to think as he puts his hands on his head and turns around, only to be hit with a MASSIVE SPEAR FROM REIGNS! Reigns goes for the cover as the referee’s ready to call the count, 1…2…3! Rollins and Reigns are the new Tag Champs for The Shield!!
Chimel: “Ladies and Gentlemen, your winners and NEW Tag Team Champions, Shield Members, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns!”

The crowd boo as Dolph Ziggler looks shocked on the outside. Langston goes to check on Dolph, before lifting him onto his shoulder and carrying him out to the back. Ambrose is delighted up on the steps, as Reigns and Rollins hold up their newly gained Tag Titles in the air. They both then make their ways over the barricade, Reigns alone, Rollins joining Ambrose. Once more, the two new Champions hold their titles high in the air, before disappearing through the curtains.

JBL: “I knew they would do it! The Shield now holds the Tag Team Championships!”

King: “I can’t believe it! What a match that was, that was crazy!”

Cole: “Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston are going to want their rematch, but they’re going to want it on fairer grounds. I can’t wait to see how they react to this loss; they’ve only held the titles for 24 hours! We’re going to a quick commercial break now, but we’ll be back with more action right after this!”

*Commercial Break*

The camera’s come back, but we’re not in the arena, we’re backstage with Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston.

Ziggler: “Did you see that?! How were they allowed to get away with that?”

Langston: “Don’t you worry, when The Shield face us in our rematch, they won’t remember winning the titles, as I’ll break both of them as we win them back.”

Ziggler: “We need to plan this Big E; we need to make sure that when we get our rematch, we know that we’re going to win it right away! That’s why we’re going to invoke our rematch clause at Extreme Rules! Not only are we going to invoke it, we’re going to make it…a Tornado Tag Team Match!”

Langston folds his arms and nods, obviously thinking it’s a good idea. The camera’s cut back to the announce team at ringside.

Cole: “Wow, and we have our first official match set for Extreme Rules! The Shield is going to have to defend the titles against Ziggy and Big E in a Tornado Tag Match! Those matches can cause all kinds of trouble, but it means that all four men can be in the ring at once!”

King: “John, Cole, I’ve just been informed that there’s some form of argument developing backstage between the Raw and Smackdown GM’s, we’re going to try and get a Camera on this right now!”

The cameraman’s running around backstage, trying to find out where Booker T and Vickie Guererro are. We can hear the voices in the distance and eventually, the camera manages to enter the GM’s room. Booker T and Vickie Guerrero are both shouting at each other, but nobody knows why.

Booker T: “Vickie, what gave you any right to make that match?!”

Vickie: “This is my show Booker; I can do whatever I like!”

Booker T: With my superstars?”

Vickie: “Like I said Booker, it’s my show; I can do whatever I want to do… ON MY SHOW!”

Booker T: “Vickie, you cannot just start taking Smackdown superstars and put them into matches I’ve not even given you any consent for! What if someone gets injured?”

Vickie: “Urgh, don’t you start on me Booker. I’m the General Manager of Raw and unlucky for you, but what I say goes!”

Brad Maddox and Teddy Long are standing behind their respective managers, giving looks of boredom to each other, as all of a sudden there’s a knock on the door. A voice can be heard before the person moves into sight.

“Well now then, why are we all complaining? I can hear you all down the hallway!”

The man moves into focus on camera and it turns out to be Hall of Famer Mick Foley. In the arena the crowd are cheering for Mick as he stands in the middle of Vickie and Booker.

Foley: “I guess that neither of you are fit to be the General Manager of Raw or Smackdown, seeing as you can’t even have a civil conversation. Maybe, there should be someone better to take over BOTH of your jobs. Say…a certain Class of 2013 Hall of Famer?”

The crowd are cheering like crazy in the arena, but Booker & Vickie do not look happy with what Mick Foley just said.

Vickie: “Ha, Mick, you couldn’t do the job that Booker and I do so well. Sorry, the job that I do so well. I can’t say the same for him.”

Foley: “I think you must forget that I’m the former GM of Raw myself. So, I’m pretty sure that it wouldn’t be too difficult to take over Raw AND Smackdown.”

? “Now now Mick, I’m sure you could do a better job as well!”

Mick turns his head to see somebody walking in the room, as Booker & Vickie look shocked at who’s just walked in. The man is Vince McMahon, owner of the WWE.

Vince: “I wasn’t even meant to be doing anything tonight, but if you guys can’t keep your traps shut, someone’s going to have to shut them for you! What’s the problem?!”

Booker: “Look Vince, you’ve gotta tell Vickie that she can’t just take my superstars from Smackdown and put them in matches without asking me!”

Vickie: “Don’t tell me what I can’t do Booker, its MY SHOW!”

Vince: “So, it seems we’re having some problems with the GM’s. Nothing new, everyone ends up busting up in the back before long. Mick, you think that you can do a better job than these two?”

Mick: “I don’t think, I know it.”

Vince: “Well, I have got the perfect idea! We have five more episodes of Raw before Extreme Rules, so here’s exactly what’s going to happen. At Extreme Rules, Team Mick Foley will take on Team Vickie and Booker, in a 5 on 5 Tag Elimination match! Every week, each team will reveal one member, taking us all the way to Extreme Rules. You guys better do some scouting, next week on Raw, you reveal your first member!”

Vickie: “And what’s the point in all of this Vince?”

Vince: “If you and Booker win, you get to keep your GM Jobs. If Team Foley wins, then Mick Foley will be the new General Manager of BOTH Raw and Smackdown!”

Vickie and Booker are outraged and start talking at once to Vince, who ignores them as he walks out of the room, the crowd cheering him from the arena. Vickie and Booker stare at Foley, who simply smiles at them.

Foley: “Bang Bang!”

The camera cuts back to the announce table yet again.

Cole: “Wow, our second match announcement for Extreme Rules! Another Tag Match, this time a 5 on 5 match where the General Manager position is on the line!”

JBL: “Vickie and Booker are the best GM’s in a long time, they’re gonna put together one helluva team to take on Foley!”

*Crank It Up*

The crowd start to boo as Big Show comes out onto the stage. Raising his fist and shouting out as the crowd boo him even more; he starts to walk down the ramp.

Chimel: “The following match is a three on one handicap match! Making his way to the ring, from Tampa, Florida… Big Show!”

Big Show approaches the ring, walking up the stairs, stepping over the ropes to make his way into the ring.

*La Vittoria E Mia*

Santino Marella comes out to the stage and the crowd start to cheer.

Chimel: “And his first opponent, from Italy… Santino Marella!”

Santino power walks down ramp, high-fiving a few superstars as he gets closer to the ring. Santino slides under the ropes and gets into the ring before getting up on the middle rope in the corner, raising his arms as the crowd cheers.

Santino jumps back down from the ropes and turns around, only to be hit with a massive KO Punch! Big Show has ended this before the referee has even rung the bell!

Cole: “Oh my god! Did you see that punch to Marella? He must be out cold!”

King: “That looked vicious.”

Big Show picks Santino up from the floor, almost lifeless and hits him right in the jaw with another KO Punch! Santino hits the ground hard as the referee looks at him, calling over the medic. Big Show points over at Tony Chimel, calling for a microphone. One gets passed to him and he doesn’t look happy as he moves to the centre of the ring.

Show: “Last night at Wrestlemania was complete bull! I could’ve beaten The Shield on my own if I wanted to, but Orton and Sheamus ruined the entire match. Orton gets pinned and the whole team goes down. This week, on Friday night, I want a match against Orton and Sheamus. Booker T, this goes out to you. Make that match happen, or I will make yours and everyone in the WWE’s life a living hell.”

Show drops the microphone as the crowd boo him loudly. He kicks Santino, who is still being treated by medics and steps over the ropes to the apron. Dropping off of the apron, Show walks to the back, looking extremely angry.

JBL: “Big Show’s gonna beat the life out of Orton and Sheamus next week! It looks like we’ve got one brawl on our hands!”

Cole: “That match is going to be absolutely crazy and I can guarantee you that someone’s going to end up getting hurt, those guys have brute strength on their side!”

We cut backstage, where John Cena is talking to Raw General Manager Vickie Guerrero. He has his newly claimed WWE Championship over his shoulder.

John: “Vickie, now that The Rock’s retired, what are you going to do about a Number One contender to my WWE Championship?”

Vickie: “John, it’s my job to make sure that there’s a contender to your title, and I’m good at my job. So obviously, you’ll have a contender by Extreme Rules! Who do you think I am, Booker T?”

John: “Umm… what did you just say? Look, what’s going to happen with my Belt? That’s all I want to know.”

Vickie: “Seeing as the next Pay Per View is Extreme Rules, we’re going to hold an Eight-Man “Extreme” Tournament, for the Number One Contendership to the WWE Title!”

John: “Wow, sounds interesting and for once Vickie, you’ve had a good idea!”

Vickie: “Excuse me? I always have good ideas. Now, if you would meet me out on the stage, we can make this a formal announcement.”

Vickie leaves her office as John looks confused.

John: “Formal announcement? I dunno what’s got into her.”

The camera’s start to fade as we head into another commercial break.

*Commercial Break*

Back from commercial and Vickie Guerrero is on the stage with a microphone in hand. John Cena is standing opposite her, without a microphone, but with his WWE Title belt.

Vickie: “Ladies and Gentlemen, I have an announcement! As The Rock has retired, we need to find a new Number One contender to the WWE Championship. I’ve decided that, because we’re on the way to the Extreme Rules Pay Per View, I’m going to hold a “Number One Contenders Extreme Tournament”.”

Surprisingly, the crowd cheers for Vickie’s announcement.

Vickie: “Over the next five weeks, we’re going to have an eight man tournament! The four “Quarter-Final” matches will take place over the next two weeks and they will all be No Disqualification matches!”

The crowd cheer, because they know that they’re going to see some violence over the next few weeks.

Vickie: “Then, the two “Semi-Final” matches will take place over two weeks, one match per week, and they will both be Table Matches!”

The crowd cheers again, starting up a “WE WANT TABLES!” chant.

Vickie: “On the fifth week, it will be our final match! That match will be… A LADDER MATCH! The winner will have to climb to the top and grab the Extreme Rules contract, and they will be the Number One contender to the WWE Championship!”

Cena nods, the crowd go crazy and Vickie looks proud of herself.

Vickie: “Now, to finally reveal who the superstars are that will be competing in this Tournament!”

Vickie Guerrero points to the Titantron so that everyone knows where to look. An image of each person will appear as she says their name.

Vickie: “Ryback!”

The crowd cheer as the name’s announced and as they see his image pop up on the Titantron.

Vickie: “Mark Henry!”

Those cheers quickly turn into boos as Mark Henry’s image appears on the Tron.

Vickie: “Sheamus!”

Cheers again as Sheamus can be seen on the big screen.

Vickie: “Randy Orton!”

The cheers grow to be louder again as Randy Orton’s face can be seen.

Vickie: “The Miz!”

The crowd are indifferent here, some cheers and some boos for The Miz as his image is on the Jumbo Screen.

Vickie: “Daniel Bryan!”

The crowd start to cheer “YES! YES! YES!” as Daniel Bryan’s wonderful Goatface can be seen on the Tron.

Vickie: “Shield Member, Dean Ambrose!”

The crowd boo viciously as Ambrose’s photo is shown on the screen with the “Shield” logo beneath it.

Vickie: “And finally… CM Punk!”

The crowd boo even louder than they did for Ambrose as the man who beat Undertaker’s image appears on the Titantron.

Vickie: “These eight men will all take part in the Tournament over the next five weeks! Thank you!”

Vickie makes her way backstage as John Cena follows, his title over his shoulder.

King: “That is a huge announcement! The Rock retires, so we’re having an “Extreme” tournament! Eight men, seven matches, three different stipulations! This is going to be huge!”

JBL: “Right now, my pick has to be Dean Ambrose. He’s got The Shield on his side and even though we’ve not seen him in singles competition, this guy could surprise us!”

Cole: “For me, Ryback seems like the sensible option! He beat Mark Henry last night at Wrestlemania and the guy’s a powerhouse!”

*Just Don’t Care Anymore*

The crowd boo as Wade Barrett walks out onto the stage, his freshly retained Intercontinental Championship around his waist.

Chimel: “The following is a Triple Threat Match and it is for the Intercontinental Championship! Introducing first, from Manchester, England…the Intercontinental Champion, Wade Barrett!”

Barrett walks down to the ring looking smug as he walks up the steps to get in the ring, before holding up his title and roaring as the crowd boo him.

Cole: “We should inform you that last night, The Miz suffered an injury in his match against Wade Barrett and so isn’t at Raw tonight, he could be out for a few weeks!”

*Hallelujah Symphony*

The crowd boo again as out comes Damien Sandow to the ramp, surprisingly, without a microphone. He slowly starts to walk to the ring.

Chimel: “Introducing the first challenger, from Palo Alto, California…Damien Sandow!”

Sandow walks down to the ring, sliding under the bottom rope. He stands up, removing his long robe as the crowd continue to boo him. His music stops playing and no music starts to indicate the next challenger in this triple threat. All of a sudden, Tony Chimel rings in.

Chimel: “Now, introducing the second challenger, making his return to Monday Night Raw… Christian!”

The crowd go crazy as all of a sudden, music starts to blast out through the speakers.

*Just Close Your Eyes*

As Chimel said, Christian has returned! He makes his way out onto the entrance ramp and salutes his fans, before running down the ramp, sliding under the ropes and jumping up! He poses in the corner (for the benefit of those with flash photography), before getting ready to start this match. The referee calls for the bell and this title match is underway!
All three men are watching carefully between each other, as Barrett and Sandow catch each others glare, before turning to look at Christian. They begin to advance towards the returning superstar, but Christian kicks Sandow in the gut! Sandow bends over in pain as Christian starts to hit Barrett with a couple of forearms. Christian is really into this already as he runs to the ropes, looking to come off towards Barrett! Unfortunately for Christian, Barrett manages to avoid the attack and a hidden Sandow manages to kick Christian square in the head with a great dropkick! Barrett immediately hits an elbow to a downed Christian, followed with the exact same move from Sandow! The Brit and the self-proclaimed “Savior of the Masses” seem to be working to put Christian away here. Barrett picks Christian up from the floor and grabs him by the head, throwing him over the top rope to the outside! Sandow follows Christian to the outside, wanting to take advantage of this quickly. He picks up Christian and looks to want to whip him into the steps! He grabs Christian’s arm and goes for the whip…but in mid-motion, Christian reverses it and Sandow goes right into the steel steps and hard! Christian slides back into the ring, but feels the boot from Barrett right away, as Barrett stomps away without a care on the back and chest of Christian, before dropping another elbow. Barrett heads to the top rope, knowing that if he can drop a more devastating elbow, he can end this early! He jumps from the top rope, landing on Christian with a brutal elbow drop! Barrett looks for the pin, 1…2…BREAK UP! Sandow managed to break up the pin before the count of 3, but Barrett doesn’t look happy at all. He grabs the head of Sandow, before delivering a headbutt to him! Sandow falls back to the mat, but Christian rolls up Barrett from behind, looking for the win! 1…2…KICKOUT!

Barrett manages to kick out just before Christian can capture the IC Title, on his return. Christian is standing as Sandow is down in the corner and Barrett is just making his way back to his feet. Christian hits a couple of kicks to the legs of Barrett, before hitting him with a dropkick of his own! Sandow is up this time and runs at Christian, delivering a clothesline. Christian is down in the middle of the ring, so Sandow looks for an elbow drop, hitting Christian with the “Elbow of Disdain” as Sandow lies on Christian for a second, smiling. Barrett is up now, pulling Sandow off of Christian, going for a punch, but Sandow ducks and as Wade turns around; his arms are grabbed by Damien Sandow, who hits Barrett with his finisher, the Terminus! Barrett drops to the floor hard and Sandow looks for a pin of his own, 1…2..KICKOUT!

As Barrett rolls over to the side, Sandow gets up and moves over to Christian, bringing him up to his level. Sandow grabs the arms of Christian and starts to spin him around for another Terminus! Christian though has no ring rust, as he takes the arms of Sandow, moves him around a bit and hits him with the Killswitch! Christian stands back up, looking for the win and to become the new Intercontinental Champion! Just before he can bend down though, Barrett grabs his arm to turn him around and face him. He pulls Christian towards him and hits the Bullhammer elbow, right into the face! Christian drops to the mat hard and Barrett goes down for the pin, 1…2…3!! The IC Champion retains in this one!

Chimel: “Your winner and still the Intercontinental Champion…Wade Barrett!!”

Barrett grabs his title and walks straight out without having his arm raised, as Christian looks disheartened in the ring.

Cole: “What a great match and how awesome is it to see Christian back in the WWE?”

King: “You can say that again Cole, I’m shocked to see Christian back, but even more shocked to see Wade Barrett retain in that triple threat! That’s three different people he’s retained his title against in two nights!!”

Cole: “We have to take one final commercial break of the night, but when we get back, CM Punk has promised to throw The Undertaker a funeral after his huge Wrestlemania loss last night!”

*Commercial Break*

We’re instantly back from commercial break and the arena goes all dark. The only lights are provided by people’s cameras and phones flashing. All of a sudden, The Undertaker’s music starts to play. The crowd start to cheer, as Druids come out onto the stage, with a coffin between them. The lights start to come back, as they carry the coffin down to ringside. The crowd aren’t sure what’s happening anymore, as Undertaker’s music begins to play. Suddenly, on the screen appears a black background with the numbers 20-1 on it. The crowd begin to boo as they realise its CM Punk signalling his win over The Undertaker last night. Suddenly, music hits.

*Cult of Personality*

CM Punk comes out to the stage, without Paul Heyman tonight. He kneels down at the top of the ramp, as he uses The Undertaker’s cut-throat taunt, as he stares down the coffin. The crowd boo him louder than they’ve booed anybody tonight as Punk looks to the camera on his left and says “Rest In Peace…not”. He runs down the ramp, around the sides of the Druids, sliding into the ring. He picks up the microphone that was left on the mat and looks evilly into the camera.

Punk: “Last night, at Wrestlemania, The Undertaker became just another number. That twenty that he prided himself on so much, didn’t turn into twenty-one, it turned into twenty AND one. That one stands before you right now. That one is the only person who in twenty one Wrestlemania’s, has been able to defeat The Undertaker. The more you dislike that idea, the more I love it. I’ve done what everybody thought I couldn’t do and boy, does it feel good. None of you pathetic people in Madison can amount to even a fraction of what that One means. None of you understand what I accomplished last night, I am the new Deadman. At least, that’s what I say. You see, figuratively, in that coffin in front of me, lies the murdered soul of The Undertaker and I am the person that killed him off.”

Punk raises his arms in the air and the crowd can’t stop jeering. To dislike someone more is pretty much impossible.

Punk: “The Undertaker was useless and last night, he proved that to all of you as I put him down with a Tombstone Piledriver of my own. The Undertaker could kick out of my GTS, but his own move? Takes him down in an instant. The past few years, Undertaker was a mere shell of his former self. I’d faced off against him in the Hell In a Cell before, you think I was worried going into this one? Not in the slightest. Then we have the memory of the late, but not so great Paul Bearer. Put the memory of him under the skin of Undertaker, shake him up a bit, make the Undertaker scared. I know for a fact that Undertaker was scared when he faced me, but he was too scared to prove he was scared! That was why, at Wrestlemania last night, he fell to me. The Undertaker was my victim and now, we lay him down to rest.”

The crowd are riled up with hatred towards Punk as he moves to the ropes, looking down on the coffin.

Punk: “So, Undertaker… Rest. In –“

The lights go out and nobody knows what’s happening, but the crowd are calling out for Undertaker. There’s no noise and after a good thirty seconds, the lights come back on and nothing seems to have changed. CM Punk however, looks concerned.

Punk: “Like I started to say, Undertaker… Rest. In-“

A thumping noise can be heard. It sounds as if it’s coming from the coffin, almost like a heartbeat. Punk starts to look extremely worried and all the Druids start to make their way to the back. The beating noise gets louder and Punk starts to walk around the ring, definitely worried. He slides out of the ring and walks towards the coffin. Slowly, Punk approaches it and holds the top end lid.

The crowd are going crazy as the beating noise is even louder, Punk finally opens the top of the coffin…. AND THE UNDERTAKERS ARM GRABS HIM BY THE THROAT! Kicking the bottom lid open, The Undertaker is fully visible in the Coffin and the crowd are going absolutely mad. Taker steps out of the coffin and with all of his force, chokeslams CM Punk into it! He shuts the bottom lid down, then goes to shut down the top lid, but Punk holds it open. Reaching a fist out to punch Undertaker, Punk now kicks the lid open and rolls out onto the floor. He stands up and the two men start to trade blows, while the crowd are into this like nothing else they’ve seen tonight. Each man is trying to get the upper hand on the other, but nobody can see a man with a clear advantage.

King: This is amazing! Even after losing to CM Punk, The Undertaker is still brawling with him tonight!

JBL: Punk doesn’t need to get involved with this, Undertaker has no right!

Cole: This is certainly a sight to behold, is the deadly feud between Undertaker and CM Punk over? Or is it only a point in something a lot bigger? Tune into Raw next to find out!

The show goes off air.

GCB FEEDBACK
MONDAY NIGHT RAW

First off, great to see a new show in here; you're clearly eager to get going and this first show has so much potential. I've made it my duty to, from now on, try to feedback on shows from newcomers, or returning newcomers, to try and help them out and encourage them to keep going. We need to build BT back up! I enjoyed reading the show you posted, it has a lot of potential but I think there were a few things that I picked up on that I believe could help it become better as you go forward.

  • First off, the formatting and such is neat enough but I didn't like the red for heels, blue for faces thing. I don't think faces/heels should be described that way, the reader should be able to tell for himself if somebody is heel or face and I think it makes it too clear cut. Interesting shows blur the edges a little, Dolph Ziggler needs his heel persona to be tinged with a little bit of a babyface attitude for example, Kane is a face but needs that evil side of him that is essentially still heelish. I'd make the speech consistent throughout and ditch the different colours if I were you.

  • The weakest part of your first show was definitely the promos. I thought the ideas were solid enough and the storylines were cool but the things you had people saying was completely off whole show. I cannot imagine The Rock retiring like that at all. I try to hear the superstars saying what you've written and the best promo writers can make you hear it. Look at Cena's words for example; would he really say he didn't believe in himself to beat Rock at Mania? I doubt it. It's not Cena's persona at all. He might say that everybody doubted him, he might say that he was up against all the odds but he would not say that he didn't believe that he could win. The actual wording of the promos is something to work on, use YouTube and listen for little traits in the things these guys say - particularly the big stars where it is most obvious. Having said that, I thought CM Punk at the end was a better wording so he is clearly somebody you have a decent grasp of.

  • Your match writing was solid and easy to read and follow. I have no issues with these at all, would like to see more detail in the PPV, maybe in the main events too, but that's a personal preference of mine.

  • I think you made a mistake with having so many big announcements in one evening! In reality, these big announcements are more spaced out. I think you could have had a couple of these big moments (i.e Rock retiring and the announcement of the tournament) and saved say the Vickie/Booker/Foley thing and the Tag Title announcements until another show down the line. Also, I get that Ziggler and Big E can request their rematch at Extreme Rules but why can they specify the match just like that? I would have had some bubbling issues between Vickie and Booker (leave Foley out for now) and the Shield winning the titles and just left those two things there until next week.
I always read my feedback and think that I've dwelled on the ways to improve too much but I think that is the important thing. Trust me, I did like the show, I'm reserving comment on the storylines for now - I like some, I don't like others at the moment - until I see how they unfold and I think you have enormous potential to really hammer a great show out if you stick with this. The points I've made will, hopefully, help you improve. PM me if there is anything you want to discuss about it.

Good first show!

Hollywood Quality Feedback:

Glad to see you got this show up quickly after posting the introduction. So lets down to business shall we?

Since GCB has already given you some great feedback and I agree with most of what he said i'll try not to cover the same things as him. I will say you should take his advice on not having a set color for heels and a set color for faces though in promos for sure. Just use red for Raw and blue for Smackdown.

While i'm always down for a big show I almost think this show was too big. By that I mean you had 2 title matches including a title change, Rock retiring, a big announcement of possibly getting a new GM of both shows AND a tournament to crown a #1 contender was announced. That's too much for one show! I think you would have been better off letting the GM's get more and more annoyed with each other for a few months before having this happen.

As far as the title matches one is fine for a first show, in fact I think it's a good idea but two is almost overkill. Plus why would you change a Wrestlemania result to crown new tag champs only to take the belts off them the next night? Plus now you have a heel team feuding with a heel team over the tag belts.

Also I think you should have saved Undertaker's funeral for the next week to close the show. Not only would it allow Rock to have a proper big send off but it would also add suspense about if Undertaker was ever coming back.

One thing that really confused me was you were saying their was a top lid and a bottom lid to the casket...since when do caskets have two lids? They have a lid on top and then the bottom of the casket don't they? It made that whole thing confusing to read honestly.

Sorry if this seems like i'm tearing you a new one but I wanna help ya out and help ya get this thread alive and kicking. You did have some good things like your match writing is done well, I liked Christian's return and the fact it looks like he may start feuding with Wade Barrett over the IC Title.

Anyway don't get bummed about all the negative feedback it's just small things that are easy to fix.

JAM’s Review

Welcome back to the section, I know you had a brief stay here last time. Hopefully you stay longer this time. Now onto the review!

First thing I want to say is that I’m not a fan of the format at all. I don’t like the use of multiple colors for different people. You should basically just have everything red for Raw and blue for Smackdown. If you want to see the ideal format, PM me and I can show you. It looks much more cleaner and more readable than your current format. Just a small issue, nothing you can’t fix though.

In the beginning, you used Lawler as the lead commentator? While I’m pretty sure the lead commentator is Michael Cole. Also, for a backstage interview, you had Justin Roberts conduct it instead of having him be the ring announcer. Not sure if you meant to do this, but I just wanted to point it out.

I admire that you wrote this episode in full because I struggle to write shows in full. However, the promos do need work. The commentary was decent but it could’ve been better. As for the promos said by the wrestlers, these were pretty hit and miss as well. The only one you wrote for who was decent was CM Punk, but that could use some work as well. Everyone else needs work too. I know writing promos aren’t fun to write but if that’s the case, you could do a recap style when you write, it works just as good as a full show imo. Again, if you wanna see a good recap style show, PM me and I’ll show you.

The show honestly felt rushed and you can see it in the writing. Rock’s retirement, GM scruffle, tag team title tourney, and a funeral for ‘Taker? These are all good segments that could’ve ended a show imo. I think that if you had them spread out in the coming weeks, it would’ve been really good. But all of them happening in one show, I just can’t see that happening. But I don’t blame you, I’ve done this before as well so it’s normal. Nothing you can’t fix.

The positive to take out of this is that your match writing is pretty good. It’s definitely your strong suit, so continue to improve on that, because well, it’s always good to improve on all aspects of BT. Also, the first shows are always the hardest to produce, so now that it’s out of the way, you can continue on with this project. All of the feedback left in this thread are good so just take them into consideration and you’ll be fine. Onto the next episode!

I hate to start off on a negative, but I wasn’t too fond of having Ziggler, AJ and Big E start off the show. I’d rather the first night after WrestleMania you start off with a bang, utilizing someone that was in one of the main events. The first thing I notice about the start of this promo is that everyone sounded the same, nobody really stood out. For example, Ambrose has a distinct promo style but it wasn’t really conveyed here. Same thing with Orton, he usually speaks in a slow methodical voice, putting emphasis on certain words, but I saw none of that here. A gauntlet match should be fun though, the positive thing about this promo is that you managed to create a good match for later. One thing though, Randy Orton and Sheamus, I believe they shouldn’t be targeting the tag team titles, they’d be better used in the World Title hunt, where eventually you could turn Orton heel as he does his best work as a heel imo.

One thing I want to say before this match is that I don’t think having Fandango lose his first match was the right thing to do. This match was well written I thought, and having Cesaro defeat someone like Chris Jericho will do wonders for his career, and with the interruption of Fandango it keeps Jericho credible. I don’t think you’ve done Fandango any favours tonight, he lost his first ever match, and then tonight he doesn’t get the upper hand on Jericho. Again, Ryback just sounded like a regular guy, he has a certain way of cutting his promos, which wasn’t done in this.

Onto the Cena promo, I’m not sure about having him say he didn’t think he could win. “Honestly, I doubted myself, doubted if I could get the job done but I did, I did it for all my fans so we could all say... THE CHAMP IS HERE!” That might have been better than simply saying he didn’t think he could beat The Rock, and then you could go on to say how The Rock was a great competitor and how it took all his strength. The beginning of The Rock promo was good, better than the rest of the promos, but then the next paragraph just turned generic. I really think The Rock’s retirement would happen so soon, and since it did, it should really have been a bigger deal. And I don’t buy The Rock not wanting a rematch, its 1-1, surely he’d want to prove he’s the better man by winning the Rubber Match.

The way this match was written was rather good. But I really don’t see the point in giving Ziggler and Big E the titles at WrestleMania, only to have them lose it the next night. You could have kept the titles on Kane and Bryan, The Shield defeating them would have been better I think, that way you wouldn’t have the awkward ending of heel vs. heel. I think Ziggler should be gaining momentum for his cash in, he had that when he won the tag titles last night, but all that momentum has been taken away now with losing it the night after, I know it’s in a Gauntlet match but it’s still only the next night. Again, I thought Ziggler was off in this promo, even before WrestleMania he didn’t care about the titles, but was forced into the match. I don’t like having Ziggler and Langston feud with The Shield, heel vs. heel almost never works, I really think Kane and Daniel Bryan would be better served in this spot.

Another huge announcement about the GMs? I think this promo proves that you really need to work on your promos, Vince was completely off and Mick didn’t sound like himself. The match that Vince made is such a “fuck you” to Vickie and Booker, the fact that Mick can become GM of both shows while Booker and Vickie are only defending their jobs is quite funny to me. You could’ve held a triple threat ladder match, each person chooses a Superstar and you put a GM Contract above the ring.

What has Sandow done to get a title shot? Again, the match was decent but I’m not sure about having Christian return and lose his first match. Barrett could have faced a face, and then beat him, then attacked him after the match, Christian saves the day and you build to a championship match at Extreme Rules.

First off, props for trying something different with ending the streak, even if I have opinions against it. I liked what Punk had to say at the beginning, even if his delivery was off. Personally I think the aura from Undertaker came from his streak, the fact that nobody could beat him on the biggest stage gave him that, but now he just seems like a regular Superstar. I was a bit confused about the ending to the promo; I didn’t know a coffin had a bottom lid?

Honestly, I know it might read that I’m being a dick, but I’m just pointing out things you could have done better or done differently. It was a very hit and miss show, the hits being the matches were decent, written wise, wasn’t sure about the booking of them, and the misses being most, if not all of the promos. I suggest before you write a promo, head over to youtube, watch some videos of the Superstar cutting promos, and then plan out what you want to say then write. Rock started off well but descended into a generic promo like the rest, what Punk had to say was good, but I didn’t think his delivery was up to par. Anyway, I hope you continue this, and don’t take this personally; I simply wanted to post my thoughts and hope you take everything that has been said on board.

Antonio Cesaro defeated Justin Gabriel to retain the United States Championship.

In what was a pretty equal match until the finish, Antonio Cesaro pulled out a victory over his South African opponent, much to the upset of the crowd. Gabriel had his fair share of offence, as did Cesaro, but unfortunately, it was too much for Justin Gabriel to handle as he attempted a 450 Splash, only to hit the mat. It wasn’t much longer before Gabriel hit the mat again, falling victim to Antonio Cesaro’s “Neutralizer”, allowing him to pick up the pin in the match.

AJ Lee defeated Layla

In our only Diva’s match of the evening, AJ picked up the upset victory over Layla in a very one-sided match. Dolph Ziggler was at ringside, along with Big E Langston, who seemed to be the perfect distraction for AJ to win this one. Some vicious attacks on the British Diva meant that the crazy chick AJ was able to win this with ease.

Alberto Del Rio, Randy Orton & Sheamus defeated Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler & Big Show

In the Main Event of the evening, the World Heavyweight Champion teamed up with Orton & Sheamus after their loss on Monday Night Raw to take on the World’s Largest Athlete, Big Show, along with Jack Swagger and one half of the former Tag Champions, Dolph Ziggler. A match that was destined to be chaos from the start, Sheamus and Big Show battled out to the back early on in the match, making this one a 2 on 2 for the duration of it. After some great back and forth action, Ziggler broke up a pin Orton had on Swagger. Obviously annoyed at Ziggler’s actions, Del Rio decided to get himself involved, taking their fight to the outside. As Swagger watched the action, attempting to call Ziggler up to tag him in, Orton spun him around, right into an RKO, as Orton pinned Jack Swagger, winning this one for his team.

The Uso’s defeated 3MB (Slater & Mahal)

3MB, their usual showboating selves decided to let Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal take this match on against The Uso’s, one of the toughest Tag Teams in the company right now. Slater missed many opportunities to take advantage of a downed opponent, simply due to his constant showing off and air-guitar. When Mahal was in the ring, it was the same story, until a Samoan Drop from Jey Uso got the win.

Fandango defeated Kofi Kingston

In a surprise victory, Fandango finally got a win for himself, against Kofi Kingston. Kofi was in good form for the match, but unfortunately, the mischievous Summer Rae proved to be his foil. With the referee accidentally downed from a awry Dropkick from Kingston, Summer Rae made her way into the ring, attempting to dance with Kingston. As much as he didn’t want it, he eventually caved into Summer’s ways, only to be hit from behind by Fandango. A beautiful leg drop onto Kingston put this one away quickly. Post-match, Fandango reminded us all how to pronounce his name.

Chris Jericho defeated Wade Barrett in a Non-Title match

Former NXT Mentor and Rookie respectively, Barrett and Jericho met in the ring, not for the first time and certainly not the last. The Intercontinental champion was strong as ever in the ring, delivering brutal shots to the head and mid-section of Y2J, but the brain of the older man was the perfect game changer, as Jericho settled into a rhythm, hitting a Lionsault (having missed one earlier), followed by the Codebreaker, topping it off by putting Barrett into the Walls of Jericho. Since losing to Fandango at Wrestlemania and Cesaro on Raw, this win is a breath of fresh air for Chris Jericho.
