For those of you that haven't seen it, wait a year from today and run, yes I say run, out and buy Best of War Games.

Best of MSG could be awesome, as well as Best of IYS. Don't get the point of a Goldberg DVD in the slightest though.

That's what I was thinking. There aren't a ton of matches you need for him and most of them are short. What would be required:

Debut
US Title vs. Raven
Hall/Hogan in the same night
DDP at Halloween Havoc
Nash at Starrcade
Steiner at Fall Brawl
World Title win in WWE
Maybe the Chamber where he dominated until the last second
vs. Rock even though it was awful

That's about it really.

I think the fact that they're selling it as a biography is important. Sounds like it might be a film version of his books instead of a match collection, which if I'm not mistaken there's been two of. Even if I'm mistaken and it's just been one, Greatest Hits and Misses had all the important stuff on it already, with the bonus disc at least.

Only really important things I see are best of War Games which cannot help but be excellent because there's never been a bad War Games and Best of MSG which shows a lot of promise. Though when you think about it, how many amazing matches happened in MSG that we've already seen on different sets? I'm thinking HHH/Rock and HHH/Foley off the top of my head. I also worry they'll fit in too much shitty modern stuff like...Kofi Kingston, or Rock/Cena vs Awesome Truth. Or anything from the last awful Survivor Series I guess.

I'll take the Alley Fight and the six man elimination tag from 1987 which I think was already released but I'm not sure. Throw in a few Backlund Texas death matches and I'm sold.

If they go that way with it, then yeah, me too. Like I said, it's a set with a ton of potential, but it's not as completely fuck-proof as War Games.

Have there really been something like 20 war games matches? How often did these happen? I thought it was once a year.

There were about 12 that weren't filmed and happened at house shows. In 87 there were two or three, then there was roughly one a year.
