WWE 2011 Push Predictions

WWEboy13

Dark Match Winner
Just give your predictions on who's gonna pushed and how.

For me its John Morrison and Mason Ryan.

John Morrison- I expect him to be pushed because he's already getting a shot at the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble and he won a feud against Sheamus. Beating the man that beat John Cena, Randy Orton and Triple H is a huge accomplishment. I think that he won't win the Championship at Royal Rumble. I also think that he will continue having a feud with The Miz until Elimination Chamber where he still doesn't win the Title and enters a Triple Threat Match at Wrestlemania also including The Miz and Orton. I doubt he would win there. I see him winning the title at Extreme Rules, Over The Limit or Fatal 4 Way.

Mason Ryan- He has a striking resemblance to Batista. I think that he will be put on Smackdown and dominate jobbers and mid carders and move on to the Intercontinental Championship. There he will destroy Ziggler and then possibly have a feud with Ezekiel Jackson and lose but then go for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Alberto Del Rio

I think he would be credible enough already. He doesn't have to take the long road to main event like Morrison. He already beat Rey Mysterio. A man who has beaten HBK, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, etc. I know he beat Michaels because of Eddie's death, but it still counts. Plus I also think Del Rio has the tools to make it. He has charisma, skills both on the mic and on the ring imo, and he has the it factor I think. He just looks marketable. It could tie in with his looks.

I think he will end up winning the MITB at this year's wrestlemania if they still have it there and face the champion that same pay per view after they win their match. If they scrap the MITB from 'mania, then he will probably win the Smackdown MITB, hopefully.

Tyson Kidd - They teased a future feud between him and Daniel Bryan on Raw and it wouldn't surprise me to see him win this upcoming feud and by the end of the year feud with a main eventer like HHH or Miz.

Cody Rhodes - Right now he's in a minor feud with Big Show... Have him come out on top then have him face a major face like Mysterio .... after mania push him to the moon... maybe even beating Edge for the title

Alberto Del Rio - This should be the most obvious one. He's put a few guys on the shelf, handily holds one of the top stars of the company (Mysterio) has the charisma, heat and talent. I think he'll win money in the bank and then do something crazy like kayfabe injure a guy and beat him on that night.

Christian - I don't know that he will win a world title, but he may get a push to something past a midcarder, especially if he can make it back to the Rumble, and what a surprise winner would he be? He can still put on a show, especially if given a ladder to play with and you can finally play out the Edge-Christian feud we all want to see, regardless of who is heel and who is face at the time.

Ezekial Jackson - The guy is a monster and if he stays healthy I can definately see him turning into a force because the WWE loves those body builders. He definately has the look and with some mic work, he can get an end of year push.

And, up until last friday when he got pummeled by a jobber, I would have said Jackson Andrews. He looks like he could legit kick someones behind and they could push him tomorrow if they wanted to. But after taking on Mark Henry AFTER a match and from behind and then getting knocked out in a few seconds, they may need to hold off, sadly. But the guy is large, tall and scary looking...Just the type the WWE has no problem pushing after a turn.

If The Zigster can keep up the impressive work he has been doing for the last few months, I fully believe he will be pushed to main event level by the end of the year. Dolph, to me, is SD Superstar of the Year. He has had impressive matches against just about everyone in the mid-card level. He just continues to impress and impress.

I would've had John Morrison as an easy lock for a push this year and while being in a title match is nothing to laugh at, it appears for now as if he's been bumped from his match at the Royal Rumble against The Miz.

Headlining a top-4 PPV > Headlining Raw.

As for the pushes:

Mason Ryan - keep reading stuff about him on Wrestlezone and if he's like Batista then he's heading almost straight for the main event, likely as a heel because faces take a longer to get over than heels do - traditionally anyways.

Alberto Del Rio - if he's getting a push, he's getting a push after 'Mania and it requires him being 'drafted' to Raw - opposite of where Ryan is headed. The guy looks like he was born ready to be the champion. His entrance gets the heel reaction everyone expects, but I'd put that down to the largely USA bias audience.

Ted DiBiase - I've just got this feeling that soon, Ted is gonna get something going his way. It'll be after Mania for sure but with so many 2nd/3rd generation wrestlers, creating his version of Legacy would not be difficult. McGullicutty/Hennig and Harris/Rotundo are perfect for it and his own brother should be back soon. Husky Harris is the son of I.R.S, Ted DiBiase's former partner. It comes hand-in-hand. A push to the mid-card title as part of a stable is a push.

Justin Gabriel - he'll go to Smackdown and challenge for the IC/US title dependent on the draft. The guy's finisher alone is enough to get him over. It never gets old with the hesitation either. He's a solid high-flyer and just perfect for SD! as he doesn't need to speak as much. Also, could use Kelly Kelly as well seeing as they're supposedly dating and all...

It's quite obvious I'm a HUGE Evan Bourne fan so I'm hoping he gets one.
I've been reading around about what's going to happen to him after he returns from his injury and it seems as if he had spoken with creative recently and they said they have something big for him planned at wrestlemania. I'm assuming and hoping it's a MITB win for bourne.

I can also see Dolph Ziggler being pushed to main event level in smackdown, the guy deserves it and he's easily one of the most entertaining to watch on smackdown.

Cody Rhodes: I can see him winning an IC title sometime this year and maybe just maybe be on the main event scene before the end of the year.

I don't see Morrison's Push stopping next week, sorry Jo-mo haters, lol.

No, I think Miz will reatins his title next week (With help from riley), then I think he will face Orton and Morrison at the rumble in a Triple threat match, which he will also retain.

Then Morrison Participates in the Elimination chamber, being he person to eliminate the Miz. Orton win's and then Morrison faces Orton at Wrestlemania for the WWE Championship. I know they're is a big chance that Might not happen, But then again....It's possible.

I think that Dolph Ziggler will receive a big push this year. People have finally started to sit up and take notice of him since his fantastic matches with Daniel Bryan. His two matches with John Cena made him look like a star and very credible against such major opposition.

If he drops the Intercontinental Championship soon and then is built up early this year, I think a Money in the Bank victory at WrestleMania is in order. I could see him feuding with any main event faces in the coming year. Especially Cena as he can do the job of getting a young heel over.

Another person is John Morrison. He is already getting a rather sizeable push but 2011 is the year it will go in to top gear. His WWE Championship match on Monday looks like a trial match for whether he can really cut it in the main event. Either that or it will be postponed until Royal Rumble, and then he will really be in the main event.

2011 push predictions:
CM Punk - Now you could argue that he is already main event talent, but with such a long layoff from ring work it would be hard to say he is as over as he previously has been. Punk is getting a monster push into a feud with Cena involving neXus and it wouldnt surprise me if he ended up WWE champion after Wrestlemania.
Alberto Del Rio - I love this guy, his charisma, in ring flow, look & moveset all scream Heavyweight champion to me. Depending on what happens with Christian, I would expect ADR to be feuding with Edge pretty soon. Possibly his opponent at the rumble?
Cody Rhodes - This guy has such a prick of a character I expect to see him work his way towards a main event championship match at some point near the end of the year. I don't think he has the potential to be champion but he would make a good challenger.

Drew Mcintyre
The past few weeks, "The Chosen One" seems to have been coming back out of him and he is getting more exposure on television. He looks like he is going to be working a program with Kelly Kelly or something so I can't wait to see how that plays out. I think that Vince McMahon's Chosen One gimmick is the perfect gimmick for him and will launch him into the main event.

Alberto Del Rio
He has been pushed ever since he arrived months back. He aslo has a really good gimmick with the rich snobby type that looks down on those who are less fortunate. WWE has built him up so much that you can tell he will be World Champion before this year ends.

Christian
If the sources are correct then it is possible that he is going to work a feud with Edge leading into Wrestlemania for the World Title. He is coming back from injury and I think he might be a suprise entrant into the Rumble. I think the program with Edge is very likely since he has been injured and a lot of stars get a big push when they come back from injury.

Dolph Ziggler
You can tell by WWE pairing him with Vickie that they expect great things for Dolph. His wrestling schools are excellent but I think he needs some work on the mic because he doesn't get heat without Vickie. I think WWE put him in those matches with Cena as a test to see how far he has came and when he will be ready.

On Raw:

Evan Bourne- When Evan Bourne returns, I believe he will get a small push for the United States or Intercontinental Championship and have a few good spots in Money in the Bank. I don't believe Evan Bourne's year is 2011, but he will have something to do when he gets back.

John Morrison- I believe 2011 is John Morrison's year. I highly believe that he will win Money in the Bank and cash it on a Heel Champion at a set time and place, like RVD did on John Cena for Extreme Rules to become WWE or World Heavyweight Champion. Either way, Morrison's time is coming quick.

Ted DiBiase- I feel that DiBiase will rebound in 2011 and win the United States or Intercontinental Title or have a face turn of some sort. I don't expect to see a major push for DiBiase, but a push is a push.

Tyson Kidd- One of the last to graduate from the Dungeon, he has a lot of skill. I can see a United States or Intercontinental title reign or two, but it is too soon for a major push. Also see him having a few good spots in Money in the Bank.

Vladimir Kozlov- After his Unified Tag Team Championship reign, I see Koslov to turn heel and return to the monster he once was. He may get a title shot here and there, but I don't see him winning the top prize so soon.

Wade Barrett: I see Wade finally winning the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship around Summer Slam in 2011 and have a possible feud with Undertaker for a few months if he is traded to Smackdown.

On Smackdown:

Alberto Del Rio- I see big things for Alberto Del Rio. I see a lot of Eddie in him, and feel that he will win the World Heavyweight Championship about mid-year. So long as he does not piss anyone off backstage, Alberto has a lot in store for him.

Christian- I believe that he will finally get his push when he returns. I see a potential feud between Edge and Christian for the World Title at some point, and maybe even a short reign if Vince lets him have his shot.

Drew McIntyre- It's only a matter of time before Drew gets his shot and prove he is the Chosen One. I see a few title shots around the end of 2011 before winning the title in some fashion. Maybe another Intercontinental or United States title reign before winning the top prize.

Ezekiel Jackson- I see Big Zeke getting a push and not win the big title just yet. Big Zeke will chase the World Title for a few months and get screwed out of a few matches before going back to upper mid card for a while.

Kofi Kingston- Someone who I believe should be pushed long before, I see Kofi chasing around the Intercontinental Title for a few months before participating in Money in the Bank. He may not win, but I see him making some waves in 2011.

MASON RYAN - If all info is correct, I can definitely see him showing up on Smackdown, dethroning Ziggler as the IC champ, having a long, undefeated kind of streak, then moving up to upper midcard status. That is, if he is brought up to the roster soon enough in the year to accomplish that.

JUSTIN GABRIEL - I can't see how they can't at least push him to being a top contender for the IC/US title.

ALEX RILEY - Likewise. Riley is already good enough that I'd be perfectly fine with him as the US champion on Raw, and he's only getting better and better. Future world champ, but not this year, just IC/US.

JOHN MORRISON - Unfortunately, I don't think it'll come as a means of letting him be himself and a face, but rather, them trying to push him as a heel, because Creative seems to not know how to push someone as a face into the main event, only heel.

TED DIBIASE - I'd like to see a stable where he has Maryse in her current role, Brodus as his bodyguard, and Brett as the annoying little brother.

ALBERTO DEL RIO - Don't need to explain. He's already practically a main eventer, but this year will solidify it unless there's some sort of weird situation that happens, like he gets suspended or something.

DOLPH ZIGGLER - He's done an amazing job this year and they damn sure better reward him for it. I can see him becoming the next Money in the Bank holder and by this time next year, a main eventer.

JACK SWAGGER - I'd love to see him turn face and go back to the main event, and I think that MIGHT happen later on in about the third quarter of 2011.

DREW MCINTYRE - He's already in line for a push, it seems, so that will obviously materialize in 2011 if it happens.

John Morrison
An obvious choice. Morrison will probably be pushed as a heel. He has charisma, a huge ego, and that pretty boy Hollywood thing going on, which poises him to be a big heel.

Alberto Del Rio
This guy is the next great heel to come to WWE. Fantastic wrestler and has a gimmick of being very rich. I could see him being compared to a heel HHH.

Kofi Kingston
This is going to be a big year for Kofi. I don't think he will be in the title scene, but more of a mid upper-card guy. Him and Miz would be good once Miz loses the title and creative takes him out of the title scene for a while.

Justin Gabriel
I don't think Gabriel will get much of a recognition unless Nexus is broken up. I like Nexus, and it shows WWE is taking careful approach to their future. But in order for these superstars to get recognized individually, Nexus needs to be broken up. If that were to happen this year, I see Gabriel being put in the IC/US scene, or maybe in the tag team scene. I'd like to see him turn face and pair up with Evan Bourne, I'm sure that would be an interesting team to watch.

Dolph Ziggler
Honestly, I hate Dolph Ziggler. There's too many reasons on why to list, but yes, he will get a big push this year. He has worked his ass off, and he's on a hot streak now. He probably will lose the IC title before the next MITB at WM27, win MITB, and I'd like to see him cash it in the same night.

I can see Justin Gabriel getting a push to the US/Intercontinental Title, but he needs something to set him apart from being one of the Nexus. Right now, he is still a henchman of the Nexus with a killer finisher: the 450 Splash. Therefore, he needs a storyline that will get him away from Nexus and towards that title.

I think predictions are utterly worthless. So, because someone "calls it" that means what? That person is automatically some sort of genius? It's stupid. However, I will tell you who I think should, and should not get a push in 2011.

SHOULD RECEIVE A PUSH

Alex Riley- If I have said it once, I will say it a thousand times; this kid is at least equally talented as talent as The Miz, in every area of pro wrestling. In some areas, like the actual wrestling, he's better. He knows how to work a crowd on the mic and while wrestling, and he's only going to get better. I know he's still a bit green on the Raw scene, but he really has nowhere to go but up. I think he's ready (at least) for an I.C./U.S. title run/feud.

Trent Baretta- One of the more skilled in-ring competitors under the age of 25 in professional wrestling. If you don't see it, you haven't been watching his matches. He moves very well, very smooth out there. Nothing seems forced, and he's comfortable with every move he performs. He already sells as well as anyone on the roster, but I guess that isn't very hard when you do nothing but job to other superstars. If Vince has a nose for talent, and I'm 100% sure he does, he won't get rid of this kid before giving him a proper chance. Getting rid of his partner and not him is a good sign, I hope.

Christian- When he's healthy, I think it's high-time for him to become a main-event guy. He's flirted with such a role in the past, and I know he's ready. He performs well in big match situations, and he's in much better physical condition than the man he's constantly compared to (Edge). Not many wrestlers can draw as much heat and/or cheers as this guy. I'm not sure he shouldn't turn heel when he comes back, but it can work out either way for him. An Edge/Christian feud is long overdue.

SHOULD NOT RECEIVE A PUSH

Alberto Del Rio- I really can't believe how much people seem to like this guy. He's as boring as boring can get. Like Sheamus, he would be nowhere without his accent. Inside the ring, he's nothing special, not even close. I suppose he's had some good matches with Rey Mysterio, but just about everyone close to Del Rio's size has a good match or two with Rey.

Drew McIntyre- The other night on Smackdown, Drew said he would "become Champion" in 2011. But, he didn't say World Champion. TNA makes those kinds of verbal mistakes, but not WWE. He said exactly what he was supposed to say. This actually gives me some hope that he isn't a sure lock to win the WHC this year.

It's not that he's terrible, I just find him beyond boring. Outside of his accent, he has nothing going for him on the mic. He sounds scripted, and doesn't have much natural acting ability. I see this guy as a mid-carder for life. There's nothing wrong with the mid-card, so again, I'm not saying he sucks or anything like that. I hope he sticks around, if only to see him in the ring every week. But his character is dry and dull, and I doubt a push to the main-event scene can cure that.

Kofi Kingston- The obsession around here with Kofi Kingston becoming a main eventer is baffling to me. Why? What has he ever done to show he has main-event type skills? In the ring, he's either at a dead stop, getting his teeth kicked in, or he's going 500 miles/hr. He has absolutely no flow to his offense, and he has no clue how to carry a match for more than ten minutes. He has a good voice, but that's about as far as it goes when you're talking about his mic skills. I really don't see this guy as a big-time player in the main-event scene.

I'd like to see Justin Gabriel get a push even to WWE/WHC status. I see alot of AJ/MCMG in him and I feel WWE needs that right now. I think a Tyson Kidd push would be about as boring as a Brian Kendrick (WWE) push. Dolph is headed to the main event aloong with Jomo. Cody will be a mid carder like his dad because his mic skills are horrible. Ted has the look but needs to shake the losing streak. Big Zeke could main event but I dont see WWE giving him a push like that.

Drew McIntyre
Ever since he broke onto the WWE scene, I have liked his style, his in ring work, his mic skills, and his overall look. Being the "Chosen One" I think it is time for McIntyre to start jumping into main events and getting over on the big names stars.

Dolph Ziggler
In my opinion it has already begun when Ziggler got in the ring with Cena. Ziggler is a very charismatic in ring worker and great on the mic. I think that as much as Vickie is hated, Ziggler would get over better as a heel if he dropped her. When he does, I see him getting main event spots on Smackdown, carry that over to RAW during the Draft and then the PPV's

I think Morrison and Del Rio will be thrust into the Main Event. Though both are on the verge, nothing is for sure with either of them yet. Things can be taken away as easily as they can be given out.

But I see both of them having a big year in 2011. Possibly they both might end up capturing World Titles.

My sleeper pick is Alex Riley. I think the dude is super talented and is gaining a huge amount of exposure at this point, being around The Miz.

I truly see an Alex Riley/Miz feud on the horizon, and 2011 might be when it happens. When/If that does happen. I think it will immediately put Riley over and he might even SOAR passed guys like Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, and Ted Dibiase.

Dolph Ziggler - He wasn't involved in those highly competitive matches with Cena for nothing, they were preparation for him to move to the next level, something he surely will do in 2011, perhaps even as Edge's opponent at WM27 given the build in storyline with Vickie.

Alberto Del Rio - It's not a case of if but when as it relates to Del Rio winning the World Heavyweight Title, personally I think he could do with a post-Mysterio feud before winning it but I reckon by Summerlsam he will be champion.

John Morrison - Despite many wanting to turn him heel I think his push will continue as a face, the WWE has to get another face over as almost every up and coming prospect is a heel and Morrison gets decent crowd reactions that will only increase the longer he stays in the main event.

Cody Rhodes - Unlike the previous three I don't see his push extending to the main event but I could see a good IC title reign and a feud with Rey helping to elevate him this year.

Drew McIntyre - This current angle with Kelly is clearly leading to a feud with Big Show, that is the kind of feud that can be used to try and establish McIntyre as a main event level heel.

Evan Bourne - The roster is going to need another mid-card face and Bourne is the ideal choice, his finisher alone will keep him over enough for a mid-card title feud.

Alex Riley - He has all the tools, I think a move to SD post-Mania could see him get a strong mid-card push.

Brodus Clay - I may be jumping the gun on this one but Brodus is my dark horse pick for a push this year, Vince likes a monster and this guy just oozes presence and seems to get how to work as a big man.

Dolph Ziggler,

having him get a good run as IC Title could make his push go up to a solid level. Even wrestling John Cena, he's going to get there and would be at this year, maybe even win at the MITB Pay-Per View...

Trent Barretta - Theres somthing about him that screams title shot. He has great ring ability, and when he was on Superstars, His matches with Curt Hawkins were those that could have won match of the year. Giving his more high-flying persona, i can see him replacing Rey-Rey on Smackdown when Mr 619 retires.
All He Needs is more high profile matches that he dosnt job (Check his match vs Drew Mcintyre this past SD!) and possibly change/alter his attire/look, and we have a new star in Trent Barretta...I'm Just Sayin...
