A few Jets things, in list fashion because I haven't done one of my patented lists in forever.
1. You forgot Bilal Powell at RB. Don't get me wrong it's not at all a major thing. It's just a 4 headed monster instead of a 3 headed monster. Of course with Ridley coming off an ACL there's talk he'll be on the PUP and not be playing til after week 6.
2. You guys forgot Antonio Cromartie. That's a biggie, as he's a starting Corner and a Pro Bowler. Him and Revis were a beast 1-2 punch during the early Rex Run, and Cro was excellent last year for Bowles in Arizona.
3. I don't know when you recorded this, but the whole Sheldon Richardson thing does hurt the D-Line a bit. Don't recall if it made the national news yet but he got arrested back in mid July for going like 140 mph with a kid in the car (he didn't even tell the team about it either and we just found out this week). He's already out 4 games but he may get some Personal Conduct Policy suspension as well (or even another pot suspension since his arresting officer did make reference to the strong smell of marijuana and seeing someone throw something out the window).
4. The Richardson ordeal also goes into why they didn't draft a runner. They knew around Draft time that Richardson was out 4 games, and they had to pounce on a guy that could replace him. I wholly expect the Jets to try and get Richardsons stock up to try and trade him after the season, and Wilkerson will probably get a contract out of this whole thing after getting Tagged in the offseason.
This team was 8-8 2 years ago and had an offense with Jeremy Kerley as the best weapon (he's a solid slot guy/#3 guy but a horrible #1 option). Kerley is now not even starting anymore and the D only added pieces. I'm not trying to be super overboard on my optimism but they have every right to think they can be a contender in the division, especially with Brady missing 4 games (and I've never heard a single legal expert say the the NFL could lose).
