Seriously. I torrented it because people kept talking about how good it was, plus I heard that guys like Young Bucks, Shelley, Benjamin, and a few others were on the show. I don't keep up with NJPW enough, so maybe this is where the problem stems from... But as of the 50 minute mark, this show is terribly boring. I hope it gets better. I hope the blown spots drop a bit more, and most importantly, I hope that Matt Striker and JR start doing a better job of filling in the people like me who have no clue what the hell is going on.

Boring is certainly not the word that comes to mind regarding that PPV. Not even within the first 50 minutes. If he gets to the Nakamura\Ibushi match & still says it sucks, then we know he is just being ignorant.


Actually, fuck that. The Jr. tag title match was fun right off the bat. The 6-man tag I could see being 'meh' if you had no idea about the teams (even tho Honmamania ran wild !) but regardless of background, the rest of the card after that was pretty solid. One of the better PPV shows top to bottom that I have seen in quite a while.

as far as matches it is the best Japanese show I have watched. better than wrestlekingdom 2011, 2013, 2014, g1 climax, Noahs two big dome shows...

That's because the American PPV deal forced them to keep the show to at or under Four hours, instead of the five or so that it usually runs.

They managed to cut the majority of extra time by eliminating a lot of the pageantry, as opposed to having to cut too much wrestling action.

The Suzuki/Sakuraba match was a circus act that makes me cringe, but the rest of the show was very solid and the singles matches had an old school feel. Maybe you're just too used to WWE's garbage painted as "sports entertainment".

I'll admit, I was curious as to if they considered making it a two day show from the 3rd to the fourth, being 3 hours each. Enough time for pageantry and wrestling action, I think. And then they'd have the 5th of January New Day Dash, so it'd be like a three day event.

Why does the gender of the poster matter? Who is we? It took me 4 seconds to click on his profile which says "Gender: Male". If that's not enough it gives a link to his YT channel called Mr. Jackie Williams. It even has some videos that he's not updated in 3 years.
