Would a Women's only show work?

With so many complaints about Raw being three hours, yet WWE loving the revenue that having three hours on a Monday brings in advertising, would a Women's show work?
If Raw went back to two hours, have a one hour weekly program solely devoted to the women. Take all the female stars from Raw and Smackdown and they have their own dedicated show. One champion, set of tag champs and a TV title. The women get a chance to shine and have all segments, those who love women's wrestling don't have to sit through the pain Raw has become (ongoing).
I see plenty of merit and the next logical step in the Womens revolution. I dead set believe it would be more watchable than 205live, yet keep on commercial TV and let the advertisers tell how much it is worth by its advertising dollars. Thoughts?

No. We have too many off brand shows as it is. However, I am not opposed to giving the women a special event on the network every three months.

With the interest in Womans wrestling being at an all time high I don't see why you wouldn't have a women's show. It would be great exposure for the woman and they wouldn't have to cram them into one segment or 6 woman tags like we see now. The women on the main roster have proven that they can deliver in high calibre matches like Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and Hell in the Cell. They're a lot of of women on the main roster that are underutitilized as well as talent from the indies and former TNA Knockouts that are free agents like Brooke Adams, Velvet Skye, Angelina Love etc. I hope that they finally cancel 205 Live and we get a women's show instead, it would no doubt get better ratings.

That would require focus on individual feuds and not on 3 on 3 lame 3 minutes matches. Creative cant have that much work.

You have 15-17 active women and you think that they are enough to carry their own show, plus two more championships???

Nah. It can't happen, not yet at least. But as others said, you could have a Network Special PPV, with women only, every once in a while.

No and here is why:

WWE's core audience is young males. Always has been however, in the 80's as well as 90's/early 00's, the wrestling business was more popular and thus had a lot more fans which possibly back then would have worked.

However, now everything is more watered down and scripted and let's be honest, for every guy that says they would watch an all women's show because they like women's wrestling, there's at least 10 others that would say no way. You would see low numbers and it wouldn't work. I'm not saying they can't have special events like they did with the Mae Young Classic which is a tournament style format introducing new stars which is fresh. A weekly episodic tv show will just not work with WWE's viewer demographic

As it is currently constituted? No. Kevin Dunn and VKM do not have the proper attitude needed for a Women's show to work AS WWE IS CURRENTLY CONSTITUTED.

However,

If you gave the Women their own tour, with their own set of writers, and you base it at Free Sail or some other small, TV-friendly arena, and give a few more ladies that may NOT have the "puppies" that VKM and Dunn may snap their carrots over, it COULD work. If you make the show live after Raw/SmackDown at those arenas, it will be dead in the water. Remember, WWE-branded Women's wrestling was long seen as a "Potty break". You NEED to separate it and place it under the WWE banner. Call it the World Women's Wrestling Association, and make the long defunct WWWA "Red Belt" mean something again. Trace it back to Mildred Burke and Moolah. Today's fans will go "oooooh" and "Ahhhhhh". To keep its Japanese heritage, put it on Asuka, and let someone take it off her. Now, WWE could claim lineage to the "World's Oldest recognized Championship for Women's Wrestling". The victors write the history.

Sure it would. Women's wrestling has risen in popularity over the years. If WWE can give us a program with cruiserweights that nobody was asking for, then they could give us a program with just the girls. And with the rumor that WWE is going to Fox who want a 2 hour Raw, then it would also benefit the company to run it as its own thing. Better than the five minutes of screentime they'd get.

Of course the writing has to matter. That's sort of obvious.

If given the right attention it probably could work. That doesn't mean I'd want to see it happen though. There's too much content weekly as there is. Raw is 3 hours, Smackdown is 2, NXT is another hour, then there's all the unnecessary extra stuff like 205 Live or Mixed Match Challenge. As much as I have enjoyed the womens revolution I would not watch this show. I might give it a try to see what it's like for a few episodes at least, but not on a permanent weekly basis. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing and WWE having a ridiculous amount of content is just that. We don't need more than Raw, Smackdown, and NXT. A women only Network special (as in one featuring women on the main roster specifically, before anyone starts the Mae Young Classic argument again) could be cool. A full show weekly? No thanks. I'd rather the women still be a part of Raw and Smackdown.

Simply put, no It wouldn't work and that's for one simple reason, they don't care enough to booked the women's seriously. For them the women's revolution is just a tag line to make themselves look good in from of the media and the shareholders. Unless they have a first to promote, they won't booked the women's right. Just look how they booked the women's on raw and especially on smackdown as proof of that.

Even in NXT, they seemed like it's not as much of a importance as it use to be and they only focus on the champion's program while everybody else is either not getting air time or being place in meaningless feud. With the mentality they have about women's wrestling right now, they're a pretty good chance get another failed project like 205 live is for the cruiserweight.

I guess a separate female show would work to an extent due to the popularity and size of the female roster but personally I wouldn't like to see the shows become separated by gender, Would the male fans have to watch the male shows and female fans only female shows? Why not go further and make female only movies? I can't see a point in segregating the genders, I'm happier with it being mixed.

No, not enough fans care about women's wrestling to watch them for 1 or 2 hours.. WWE try's to make the fans believe they care about women's wrestling now but we're not buying it...

It's great they're giving them more time, but an entire show devoted to women sounds dreadful. The storylines and character development still sucks with the women..

The guy above makes a great point. Don't separate them because of their genders.. Should the men get an all male show to?.. Leave it the way it is, it's fine.

It could work if the booking is done right. At this juncture though I’d rather WWE test women in the main event more. Liked the tour and women’s only Network special ideas stingray and Dagger Dias had.

One of the dumbest questions/analogies I’ve seen on this site, and there has been plenty of competition.

I think an all-women show would work because many wrestling fans seem to watch any nonsense put in front of them. I wouldn't watch it, but I could see plenty of fans watching it...if only to bitch about it afterwards.

Have their own show, would stop the endless multi person matches over and over. Still have the ppvs joint, but just an idea. To me it is the next natural step in giving the women their due.

Variety is needed like yesterday. I also like the PPV idea. Good way to measure the women's drawing power in earnest.

A 1 hour Network only womens show that is hyper stylised like G.L.O.W wouldnt be the worst thing in the world imo.
