Worst Match of The Year
18 Seconds that caused Daniel Bryan to get over massively?
Half an hour of a predictable ending
The match that potentially killed Ryback's momentum
A match between two people who have no business in the ring and are very green.
or every random Diva's match?
Look, guys, we get it; The Divas suck. Get over it, and fucking pick something legitimate.
Brisco-Bischoff was so bad, the judges for Gut Check openly buried it on air. It set standards back about fifty years.
Cena vs Ace. It headlined a PPV. Who in the blue fuck thought putting that on a PPV was a good idea, let alone the main event?
How is the mash-up tag match from Survivor Series not on here?????????
Are you referring to the opener from this year? That match was awesome.
That match was TERRIBLE. This is beyond me that people liked it.
What exactly was so bad about it besides Clay and Tensai being involved.
No story. Flip flip flip flip flip flip flip flip flip. Tensai.
Say what you want about the rest of these matches but Cena vs. Laurinitis at Over The Limit ruined an entire pay-per-view by being such a garbage main event. If it were placed anywhere else on the show this year's Over The Limit event wouldn't be looked at so negatively. The rest of the pay-per-view was very good in quality not great by any means but still a lot of quality matches throughout then this piece of shit comes along and ruins an entire show, at least none of the other matches on this list committed such an atrocity.
Bishoff/Brisco was a pretty bad match, probably worse than Cena/Ace, but Cena/Ace headlined a PPV, Bishoff/Brisco was just an episode of Impact. Based on that Cena/Ace got my vote.
Garret/Brisco. This match is by far horrible and I cannot stand Garret to begin with.
Probably because it was a hot story, Cena is the biggest draw in professional wrestling, and the fans were all chomping at the bit to see Johnny Ace get what's coming to him. Was it a great match? Absolutely not, but by no means was it a bad one. It was everything it had to be.
Oh the humanity! An opening match for a PPV being full of extremely exciting spots that got the audience hot! The FUCKING nerve of WWE to use traditional tactics to open a show!
The past 2 years have been atrocious for the divas. They are like the spinning teacups at the amusement park - great to ride and throw up on but not something you'd actually go out of your way for.
That being said I'm going with Bryan/Sheamus at Mania. I understand why it was short, but couldn't the bookers have trimmed some of the filler to give it some more time?
Wes Brisco vs. Garrett Bischoff was bad but my vote goes to Sheamus vs. Bryan. Yes Bryan grew from that but that was not planned...on wrestlemania day, it was just a shameful burial of one of the best in wrestle in world. It`s beyond frustrating cause those 2 could steal the show and it did not help Sheamus at all.
Cena .vs Laurinits is one of the worst too but at least it had some comedic value but the whole thing was predictible (specially Big Show`s turn).
I think I may have to try and look up this Brisco Bischoff thing. I'm tempted to just vote for the Divs terribleness but Haiku Hogan scared me.
I think I'd have gone Cena vs. Cole on RAW myself.
I was gonna go Briscoe/Bischoff, simply for the fact that I hate Garrett Bischoff and anything he's involved in sucks major donkey nuts.
However, after reading the comments, I do believe that Bryan/Sheamus should get the nod, simply for the fact of how insulting it was to the participants.
Plus, it was Wrestle f'n Mania, ffs. Do horseshit like that at Over the Limit or some such off ppv, but not Wrestle f'n Mania.
Really wish the Kane vs Cena Ambulance match was on here.
Natalya vs Aksana, it was 2 seconds....
Think I'll pass here:
Sheamus vs. Bryan isn't a match as far as I'm concerned. It was a spot and one I rather enjoyed at the time, let alone now knowing what came after.
Ace vs. Cena was, as Jiggles said, a main event match between the biggest draw and the evil villain. Predictible and Weak? Yes. Awful? Certainly not and had a few good laughs in there too.
Punk vs. Ryback was hot until the ending...the same as above pretty much.
Brisco vs. Bischoff I haven't seen.
"Some Divas Match" isn't an actual match and to be honest some of the Divas matches are fine.
Like I said, I'll pass.
I was going to vote for JL vs. Cena but after watching Bischoff vs Brisco I just can't. The match is awful. I'm pretty sure that I've had better matches with my friends as a child. God awful and the finish was bad too. Horrible, horrible match.
At least with JL vs. Cena there was something to see in it.
JGlass expressed my thoughts about Laurinaitis vs. Cena more succinctly than I could right now. It also had one of the funnier moments in wrestling this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoXertAVToE#t=04m00s
Wes Brisco vs. Garrett Bischoff takes this. I wasn't aware of the match until now, but it is horrible. They found a way to make chain wrestling even more insufferable.
since The match between Chris Louie and Gunner wasn't nominated for worst match of the year, i had to pick my second choice and that's wes vs Garrett mostly because you had 2 guys that shouldn't be in the ring at all wrestles a match and the outcomes will mean even less when the reveal will finally occur.
I didn't see Brisco/Bischoff so I don't know how bad it was but I went with Cena/Laurinitis. That was the main event over a fantastic Punk/Bryan match so that's why I went with that.
Sheamus/Bryan while I hated it was short, but voting bad means disrespecting both, and it wasn't their fault.
Punk/Ryback wasn't THAT bad, it wasn't good by any means, but shouldn't be in the worst of the year.
Divas match is too generic and there have been a few decent matches.
Tamina/Beth (EC) and Kaitlyn/Eve wasn't that bad from Survivor Series.
