The X-Men's Wolverine is a man that has gone by many names. However, whether he's going by Wolverine, Logan, James Howlett, or Weapon X, one fact remains the same: he is the ultimate killing machine.

Wolverine was born as a mutant with an abnormally powerful healing factor as well as the ability to summon bone claws from his hand that made for a powerful weapon in hand-to-hand combat. In addition to his super senses, Wolverine's powers made him almost more animal than man.

His powers were only augmented when Wolverine was captured by the Weapon X program and his skeleton was replaced with adamantium, an unbreakable metal. Between his unbreakable bones, his powerful healing factor, and a pair of claws that can cut through any known substance on earth, Wolverine was turned into one of the most formidable fighters on the planet.

Wolverine's career has taken him from committing heinous and gruesome acts to becoming one of the most lovable members of the X-Men. But regardless of his allegiances, Wolverine is always a powerful ally, or a most feared foe.

    • Healing Factor- Wolverine has a mutant healing factor that allows him to quickly recover from any injuries he might sustain in battle. Even the nastiest cuts can heal in a matter of seconds, and bullet wounds heal almost as quickly.
    • Enhanced Senses- All of Wolverine's senses are enhanced to super-human levels. He can see further distances than the normal human, he has a sharp sense of smell, and he can hear things that are miles away.
    • Super Athleticism- Wolverine's strength, endurance, agility, and reflexes are all extremely enhanced. He can lift nearly 1000 pounds with relative ease and can fight at an intense level for over 24 hours.
    • Claws- Wolverines' razor sharp claws are able to cut through any known material (with the exception of adamantium). His claws can make quick work of iron and steel, and even quicker work of flesh and bone.

    • Master Tactician- Wolverine has served in many armies over the centuries that he's been alive. As such, he's learned quite a bit about combat tactics and is considered to be an expert strategist. He is able to come up with complex battle plans in a short amount of time.
    • Martial Arts- Wolverine has trained for centuries in various forms of martial arts and is considered to be one of the best hand-to-hand fighters in the Marvel Universe.
    • Black Ops Training- Wolverine has training as a ninja, CIA operative, Weapon X operative, and an X-Force operative. He is able to sneak in the shadows with the best of them and kill stealthily.

    • Adamantium Skeleton- Wolverine's bone skeleton was replaced with one made of adamantium, a metal that, once formed, is unbreakable, unbendable, and unmeltable. Because of this, it is impossible to break, fracture, or even bruise Wolverine's bones. It also means that his claws are some of the most lethal weapons on the planet.
