Wilfred

Wilfred follows a young man named Ryan (Elijah Wood) and his neighbor's dog Wilfred (Jason Gann). At first Ryan is suicidal, attempting to kill himself several times in the first episode. Ryan's female neighbor, Jenna (Fiona Gubelmann), asks him to look after her dog for the day. Ryan is taken aback as he sees Wilfred as an Australian man in a dog suit, while everyone else sees Wilfred as just a dog.

Sounds silly right? Well yes, of course it is but I am finding myself loving this show more and more every week. I actually had no intent on watching the show at all, but last night I decided to check out Louie On Demand(also very funny) and when I saw this was on there, I figured what the hell? No complaints here. It is definitely one of the most unique stories I have ever seen but surprisingly, it works very well. Then there's the fact that I find the whole thing fucking hysterical. Gann, who I believe is also the creator of the show(at lest co-creator,) is a very funny man and they made a slam dunk choice in Wood as Ryan. They seem to have quite the chemistry together.

As you can probably see, I'm not the best person in the world at critiquing television shows. Still I am curious to see if anyone else here has checked this show out? You like it? Hate it? Think it's "ok?"

Like everyone else, when I first saw the commercials for Wilfred I was confused. My first guess was it was going to be a stupid show, and a feeble attempt to revive Wood's career. However once I saw it I realized what I expected to be a horrible show is a hilarious show with a very creative plot that is frankly quite refreshing considering some of the crap on TV these days. I love it and I am now hooked, so anybody who is judging it without giving it a shot, just watch an episode or two and you won't be disappointed.

I read about it in and issue of Entertainment Weekly and thought the premise of the show sounded interesting, but 1. I'm not a huge Elijah Wood fan and 2. it just weird so I didn't check it out when it first started. The other I was flipping through the channels and I saw it was on so I thought what the hell? and I gave it a shot. Funniest freakin thing I've ever seen. I absolutely loved it. Wood and Gann are great together!

I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to watch than just that first episode, but now that I know it's On Demand I'm definitely going to watch more! And I highly recommend it to people who haven't given it a shot or think it looks strange, you will be pleasantly surprised

YES! I LOVE WILFRED! i havent missed an episode yet! at first i thought this show is just gonna be very weird and it will die within a few weeks but then i watched the first episode for the hell of it and i loved it! i laugh my ass off every week like in the newest one where wilfred gave oral sex to the lady wood was with omg i died laughing! 1 of the best shows on television right now i hope it doesnt die after 1 season like another show i loved called Secrect Girlfriend! i LOVED that show but sadly it died after 1 season (even though the idea behind it was kinda cool) but yes wilfred is funny shit
