Why did Yoshi Tatsu never work?

Yoshi is a fantastic wrestler, a little weak on the mic.
but he makes up for it for his real in ring talent. i was never a fan of the gimmick but i think he would be great as a masked wrestler he could be called the japan nightmare, and would be like sin cara and have a push what do you think of yoshi why dont he get pushed and would u like the masked guy gimmick for him?

I'm a fan of Yoshi but the guy doesn't have the "it" factor.
It's also hard to get over when the company isn't behind you and I don't think they were ever behind Yoshi the way they needed to be for him to get over. He's fun to watch in the ring but if the machine isn't behind you then you're likely going to fail unless you put in the extra effort to succeed.
I liked that he added face paint in the past. As far as a mask sure he could do it and I wouldn't be bothered but I don't think it would help him get anymore over at this point.

There's just nothing at all special about the guy. He's good inside the ring but, then again, WWE is packed with guys who are really good in the ring. There's just no charisma or personality that I've seen in the guy. Here in the states, if you're someone who can't cut a promo worth a damn, the odds of you making it to the top of one of the big companies isn't good.

Now I know that WWE is often blamed for why a wrestler doesn't make it. He's "held down" or "not used right" or whatever excuses can be dreamed up. Before coming to WWE, Yoshi spent 5 years over in New Japan Pro Wrestling and do you know what he accomplished? Jack shit, that's what. He's 36 years old, been wrestling for almost 13 years and has absolutely nothing to show for it whether it's here in the states or over in Japan.

So the reason why Yoshi didn't work, in my opinion, is he's a dime a dozen. There's got to be something there in the first place for a company to work with and, with Yoshi, there simply isn't.

As far as I know, WWE has not let him go yet, so saying he hasn't worked out is jumping the gun a smidge. I say a smidge because odds of Yoshi Tatsu working out are pretty small.

The Raw/Smackdown locker rooms are filled with talent stepping it up every day and are willing to do anything to get to the top. The NXT is filled with hopefuls with potential to replace some of the weaker stars on the main shows. A guy like Yoshi Tatsu barely registers as one of the guys who can do it.

I don't think his ring skill or even his mic skill is truly to blame. He just got lost in the rotation in my opinion. Sure, throw a mask on him. But in the end if he pays out WWE will use him and if he can't, he can't. He hasn't been released yet so maybe there is hope. Not betting much on it though.

Yoshi Tatsu never worked for many of reason. One being he just isnt that good. Like JH said,he is 13 year veteran,36 yrs of age and has accomplished jack shit in terms of wrestling. He is average in the ring, but then so are many others. His mic work is piss poor to say the least, probably because he cant really speak english.

I dont know how it works in other countries, but here in the states if you cant cut a promo then your chances of succeeding are less than zero. Yoshi is a dime a dozen kinda of late in the game for him to change his character for us to take him seriously.

Sorry, but he is a joke character.
The WWE never intended for him to do any real work other than a major jobber spot here and there and some stupid comedy routines with his character backstage. I'm not going to sit here and say the guy has no talent and anything like that, but it's pretty clear why he has never been given an opportunity.

In a stacked roster there is no room for the token Jap to flourish, lol
