Why did my post count jump up?

it was at 981 when I got on I noticed it was 995 a little bit ago and then I made 2 posts.

How do people know their post counts?

I'm able to keep track of mine up to a certain number, but the single digits I don't pay attention to. All I know is that I have 4200 posts, don't really pay attention past the hundreds.

it must have been more than 1 for it to jump 14. I only post 1 or twice in any given thread

As long as my post count is above 1.5 posts a day, I don't see myself making any more than 10 non-spam posts a week.
