Who's still going to be wrestling in 10 years?

D-Will316

Occasional Pre-Show
From 2000 to 2010 we still see The Undertaker, Triple H, Big Show, Kane, Edge, Jericho and others still going out there and giving us everything they've got.
Earlier this year I believe I read something that said Randy Orton has signed a 10 year contract with the WWE so obviously he's still going to be here unless something drastic happens. So here's my question to you. Who else do you think will be wrestling in the year 2020?
Here's what I think-(I'll just name 5)
John Cena- do I really need to explain why? he loves the business and I don't see him giving it up anytime soon, way past ten years I think.
The Miz-:wtf::disappointed: as much as I LOATHE him I do think his future is bright and will be here for a while, whether I like it or not. :(
John Morrison- I'm not going to call him the next Shawn Michaels but this guy is HBK-like in the ring... but NOWHERE NEAR in charisma.
Cody Rhodes- unfortunately I see him being in the mid-card forever, a Matt Hardy type treatment, but I do think he should get a chance at more.
Wade Barrett- I'll be honest I really don't see a long term deal here, but I could be wrong, but I most DEFINATELY think he'll be a world champion.

What are you opinions?

Hmm. I see John Cena and Orton still wrestling 10 years from now. Unless, like you said, they get injured or something.

Other than that, I'd like to think that my favourite WWE superstar -- Dolph Ziggler -- will still be wrestling in 10 years. I see great, great things from Ziggles and hope that WWE will acknowledge his talent soon and give him a serious shot at some big gold. He's just too good to be wasted, and with some experience under his belt I see him being in Cena and Orton's position sooner than 10 years. Great wrestler, great look, just needs to work on his mic skills. But hey, if Miz can anyone can.

I cry when i think ten more years of Cena. If he is around in 10 years i almost guarantee the ratings won't be. I mean right now he is getting a chunk of the crowd booing him every night, think what will happen after ten more years of what hes doing.

Ok now that i'm done with my rant.
Orton, he has age on his side.
Flair, he won't be gone till he's dead.
Hogan , When the technology is ready he will have a super doper surgery where hill have 5 titanium hips, a spine made of steel and gold alloy. He will be 10 feet tall and his skullet will be braided. He will The man of the 20's, he will be hogan 5000.
Shane will be running the WWE.

1 Alberto Del Rio: The WWE needs a "head latino" and this guy has shown what he can do. What he can do is show that he can talk, he can wrestle(with room for improvments), And he can get a reaction from the crowd. He is a talented heel and being 33 years old I think he could survive for another 9 or so years

2. Randy Orton: He's becoming the face of the WWE. He's Main Event material. He has one of the biggest fan bases in wrestling today. And being 30 he should be able to survive untill 2020

3. Daniel Bryan: This may be a long shot, but he has a great ring ability and a good mic ability. And being 29 he has a lot of ring life left in him

4. John Cena: This guys life is literally in the ring, and he loves it. This guy can do other things with his life like The Rock, but he chooses to enter the squared circle. Being the single biggest name in wrestling would mean that even if he leaves the WWE he can easily get a contract elsewhere. 33 is an age that should keep him in the ring for many years to come.

5. The Miz: Former US champion, Mr. Money in the Bank, and Captain of Team RAW. Those are just his accolades of 2010. This guy has a future in the WWE and he is only 30

6. Dolph Ziggler: I like the guys work and I hope that he can stick around for another 10 years.

7. Ric Flair: He's 61 and still wrestling, what's another 10 years

Those are the ones I can see 100% sticking around without injury/ personal issuses that keep them outside of the ring. And those are just WWE except Ric Flair. Others in the WWE I think that could survive are Sheamus, Wade Barret, John Morrison, and Cody Rhodes. Why Rhodes will stay but Ted won't is simpily he isn't a talking board. If I were to go to TNA the list would go on with MCMG, Beer Money, Mr. Anderson, The Pope, AJ Styles, and possibly more as they have the strengths to survive. and the ECW originals will be around because they just won't go away ;)

john cena- he would never leave wwe and he loves the buisness. even if hes not wrestling in 10 years he will be involved in some kind of compasity.

orton- he is still young and hes in his prime right now. he still has a while until we see him gone.

wade barrett- in my opinion the best performer on raw. hes flawless on the mic and in the ring and hes still learning. he is without a dought a future world champion.

the miz- hes great now and hes only getting better. he reminds me alot of chris jericho.

sheamus- hes good it the ring and his pals with all the right people. i just hope he doesnt take the vladimir kozlov route.

john morrison- hes young and hes a great in ring talent. he reminds me alot of a young shawn michaels. he just needs to work on his mic skills.

cm punk- one of the greatest performers wwe has over all. he doesnt get in trouble due to his straight edge lifestyle and he loves the buisness. even if hes not wrestling i can easily see him being a color commentator.

seth rollins (tyler black)- even though he hasnt debuted yet he is amazing and really young.

daniel bryan- if he is still with wwe i can easily see him being a huge star in wwe and i dont see him leaving any time soon.

triple h- honestly i dont ever see him leaving the buisness. i think he is gonna be like flair or hogan where he keeps getting drawn back.

michael mcguillicutty- he has a bright future ahead of him and hes still young.

ted dibiase jr- i can see him being a great wrestler in the future he reminds me alot of randy orton. i think he is gonna stay for a while.

cody rhodes- the same as dibiase.

drew mcintyre- my overall favorite wrestler on smackdown. i hope to see him for many more years. hes still young and hes a great all round performer.

alberto del rio- the fastest rising star on smackdown.

jack swagger- wwe is turning him into a kurt angle type wrestler so they are investing alot of time into him. swagger is still young and hes a good performer.

dolph ziggler- i like him alot. i hope they dont stop pushing him.

kofi kingston- same as ziggler.

a few years down the road wwe's roster looks very very promising. and they have some of the best and brightest stars to make wwe just that much better.

I could name plenty of wrestlers that will still be around in 2020, but I will only name a few.

John Cena: I honestly don't think I need to explain this one. He's the face of the company and I believe he truley loves this business. He's still young, too.

Randy Orton: Similar to John Cena. He's young, loves to wrestle, and is becoming the new face of WWE.

The Miz: His career is just getting started. I see a bright and long future for him.

Sheamus: Like Miz, his career is just getting started. He's young and has plenty of championship reigns ahead.

Ric Flair: If he's been wrestling for this long, I don't see him stopping now.

I think most of the WWE roster, bar the veterans will still be going in 10 years, if not in the WWE, then on the indies, in Japan or in a smaller promotion. A wrestling career does not end after leaving WWE, but most of the big money is in the 'E.

Guys like HHH, Jericho, Angle, Edge and Taker will all be retired by then, more than likely. Unless HHH fancies himself as the next Ric Flair/Hogan and sticks around til he can get a bus pass. Which I could actually see happening lol

Interesting topic. While John Cena is obvious due to his popularity and passion for the business I think Randy Orton should be able to make until 2020 too. Because he is only 30 he is a popular character and he recently signed a 10 year contract thing.

I'll skip past the obvious ones like Randy Orton and John Cena.

1. The Miz. I think that Miz will be a lifer in many ways. He's only going to get better in the ring and he'll always be decent on the mic. No reason to think he'll leave, no reason to think WWE will get rid of him.

2. John Morrison. He'll get his push and keep running with it if they give him the chance.

3. Dolph Ziggler. Young, athletic and good on the mic. If he isn't around, I'd be ENTIRELY shocked.
